I said that from an evolutionary perspective. Plenty of non-human animals engage in homosexual activity when they aren't in mating season. It's a sensible way for a population to conserve the resources that are necessarily diverted to pregnancy and childbirth during seasons where birthing isn't economically viable, without down-regulating sex drive to the point where it would result in a net negative population growth over time. You are de-radicalizing. Just like leaving a cult, you are tearing yourself away from a belief system that provided guidance and comfort, even if it was guiding you toward horrible conclusions. Not having faith, or a clear set of beliefs, to guide your life by is actually not at all normal for humans.
