As much as I have no interest in going to counciling, does anyone think that would either help get him to uncontested or help my case in court?

Thank you. I have finally got to the point where I have realized that he says all the right things but he has always put himself first. Now I need to put myself first. I think I need to go about this divorce as strategic as possible so I can get ride of him as quickly as possible.

I am worried about his retaliation though. He is a one-upper with everything, especially if he's been hurt. I'm also worried that it will make me look bad if I give him no money or that an allowance would be used against me to prove he should get alimony.

How do I find out how much that might be? I am worried about my retirement being an issue as well. Are there any online resources?

First we paid of his old, pre marriage debt then we were going to pay off the credit cards which are in my name. …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
