That's the case in many domains whether money, health, dating. There is a wider spread for men, but women always compare themselves to the men at the top.

Interesting post. The difference I think is that even if boomers were sleeping around, they were doing so with people they met organically. Dating apps have made dating more superficial and rendered a significant chunk of men uncompetitive on the dating market.

Also weird how many women write phds and research papers on incels or other parts of the manosphere. And the research consists of online surveys, or counting how often certain words/topics appear on internet forums. What benefit does society get from this?

it’s “empowering” but marrying a normal dude is bad It's like they find it degrading to be with a man who thinks and acts rationally. But a man who seems to just act on impulse, who doesn't question himself when he gets a certain desire (even if that desire is to kill/rape someone), is somehow more attractive in a primal way.

Yeah and it says men are less likely, which contradicts the title. They really didn't get anyone to proof-read the infographic.

I don't believe that. When arguing for men's rights to a mainstream audience, someone from this sub has much more defensible position than a right-wing MRA. You are never going to convince radical feminists anyway, the point is to convince ordinary people. Between the Epstein files and the Iran war, MAGA is a dumpster fire.

People completely miss the fact that men's attraction is malleable. He might start out not attracted to his friend but repeated interactions and shared experiences can lead him to develop feelings. If anything, it shows that men are not superficial and can overlook physical traits for connection. Meanwhile for many women (there are exceptions ofc), the more platonic interactions they have with a man, the more they see him as a brother. So they can't imagine it working any other way.

The problem is if you slap someone with an unrealistically high fine, they will spend more effort trying to wiggle out of it than they will making payments. It's like when Alex Jones was fined $1 billion. Even with the $25k I fear that girl's parents will bear the brunt of the punishment. Interesting to know if she is even working a job. It's really telling that OP said she only regretted it when she realized she would lose the case.

I really like that quote. Men from countries like Russia are often painted by media and women as if they are morally worse and less civilized, and that's why they turn to drinking. The fact is, their lives are harsher and treated as even more disposable then men in the west.

Thank you at least for stating what your exact position is. We definitely want strong deterrence for rapists and murderers but they will have to be locked up anyway. Imo it's hard to justify corporal punishment for non-violent crimes which you marked out for this punishment as a way of saving money. I'm guessing you experienced some kind of corporal punishment as kid from your parents? Okay, I did too. The problem is the way Internet popularity makes someone an apparent representative of a movement. Resulting in an individual like Pearl who is far from an intellectual, making the most clickbait and controversial content to get millions of views, becoming a representative of men's rights. Stop being so confrontational and aggressive. I'm a man and I'm on this sub, obviously I think women should drafted as well. Elderly, up to a point. Even for non-combat roles you need people who are healthy and mentally present. Idk why you're getting downvoted. The video is okay but it's very repetitive and feels like it's missing something - it can't all be performative. Some women may be leading "double lives" but there must be a critical mass of women who genuinely harbor hatred towards men. It wouldn't work otherwise.

What bothers me is that people don't think women are able to be pedophiles. Many of the comments are along the lines of "how does an adult woman find an 11 year old attractive?" implying that teachers who do this are normal adult women who just happened to like a teenager. If a man molests an 11 year old people don't ask "how was he attracted", they immediately (and rightly so) recognize him as a pedophile.

Associated can also mean negative correlation. If you look at Figure 1 of the paper, right and left grip strength has a negative relationship to sexlessness. Also they say: "The strength-related variables were only related to sexlessness in men, which is consistent with previous evidence that physically weaker men are less able to attract sexual partners".

By this logic, any country that cares about men's rights which gets attacked should immediately capitulate to the invader. -> This would lead to more countries that don't care about men's rights attacking the countries that do, knowing they'll get an easy win. -> By a process akin to natural selection, all countries that care about men's rights would get wiped off the map. Torture is the most fucked up thing humanity has conceived of. I can understand arguments for capital punishment for acts of extreme violence - some people are irredeemable and for example it can be unfair to let a mass murderer live after they have taken the lives of so many people. But corporal punishment is in a way worse, and the bar tends to be quite low for applying it. Psychologically traumatizing someone and often damaging their body for life, for a non-violent offence. While, it’s not universally true, overall women still want to be provided for, not provide for someone else. There is something I don't like about this line of thinking. It's exactly because she's posh i.e. high status, that she is getting so much pity. "She is just acting out past trauma" and not accountable for her choices, according to people.

Yup. The men are seen as pigs. The woman is seen as a victim who is acting out past trauma. Come to think of it, is there any occasion where the word trauma is used in relation to a man by wider society (outside of men's rights circles)? The word has become surprisingly gendered.

There is some truth in this. Before feminism, a man who made a good income would by that virtue alone have a chance in the dating market. Does that mean every man wanted to be a provider? No, but it was a choice. If you chose not to be a provider it was because you genuinely decided there was something more important to do with your life. Now that choice doesn't exist (outside of travelling to 3rd world countries which is weird imo), so there is naturally less incentive for men to earn money jus…

You wrote a long paragraph above citing multiple sources, it's clear you care about this issue. For most of human history, we had bottom-heavy population pyramids and often autocratic societies. When the population is growing, women from younger generations married to older men will represent a relatively small percentage of their demographic. When the population is shrinking, if older men marry younger women at the same rates, a larger percentage of those women will be taken. The faster the pop…

It's bullshit. Normal escorts in western countries are not cheaper than this. Maybe you can find some desperate drug addict that will do it for less but hygiene will be poor and chance of STDs will be high.
/r/MensRights20/11/24 08:11 PM

What? Prostitution is not cheap. 1 hour with an escort in a western country costs at least as much as the OP spent. And that's guaranteed to be wasted money (from a long-term perspective), unlike a date which has the potential to lead to a relationship. It's only cheaper if you go to a poor country, but then you have to factor in the cost of travel and accommodation.

Plenty of sex workers already offering GFE lol, it's really common. That's still not as fulfilling as having a normal date. GFE is just paying a woman to talk and be nice to you. And as expensive as regular dates can be sometimes, getting a GFE is going to cost at least 5 times more.

I think legalization is opposed because upper class feminists see women as a collective, and they see some women engaging in prostitution as taking away from the dignity of all women. So they are offended that such a profession exists. Instead of just seeing people as individuals who are free to make their own choices.

Saying that implies that there is a type of guy that she has hooked up with in the past, and she wasn't able to get them to commit. Those were the guys she had fun having sex with. The guy in question must not be that fun to have sex with. Not only is being a fall back option an insult. I was kinda confused about whats wrong with saying to a man that they are not a guy for a hook up. Your entire post is explaining why telling a guy he is marriage material is not a bad thing. Okay, but how much of this is simply due to biology? Of course the larger life expectancy gap in Russia and Ukraine is a result of men being sent to war. Free childcare is another discussion. I was thinking of support in the form of social welfare for the mother. If the mother doesn't have a job or only works part-time, society is not going to let the child starve. Society wants single men to keep running in the economic hamster wheel, hoping that once they are productive/rich en…

The Supreme Court put an end to that in the US recently.

Yeah, she should have probably focused more on her own views and less on showing the backlash. Making it look like misandrist views are the majority position will only serve to normalize those views. People with moderate/centrist positions are less likely to participate in these social media discussions.

The obvious dream solution to loneliness would be women taking on more of the burden of starting, continuing and paying for relationships. How are you going to motivate them to do that? If a woman is receiving plenty of male attention already, why would she want to be more proactive? When I was in high school two of the guys I hung out with were talking and decided that "women should be the ones to ask us out, there are more of them". Sounds nice, but it's not true. There is more women only beca…

Yup and amazon used diversity policies to make sure their workforce was fractured and wouldn't form unions.

I believe a lot of men feel this way, however most men don't want to talk about the impact it has on their mental health. They don't want to appear "weak", they don't want to be seen as "less of a man". They react to feminism in ways they see as more fitting to the male gender role: by suppressing their emotions, and either 1) attacking the feminists i.e. attacking their motivations, attacking the logic in their arguments or attacking their physical appearance (with varying levels of toxicity) 2…

Yeah I think most of those incidents happen online nowadays.

Yes, while teenage boys can be vulgar when talking about girls, the majority of men grow out of it by their early 20s. Even in working class male environments I have been in, I didn't tend to hear any objectifying of women.

A drivers license is not a valid comparison. That's something which in a lot of cases has a negligible effect on quality of life.

Ah, you're a man? I really wouldn't have suspected looking at some of your comments - "women would rather be alone than be with a man they're not attracted to". Why would you be saying something like that if you're not a woman yourself? No matter. I will explain to you in a simple way. The majority of people are able to find a relationship at some point in their life. I think your 30% number is reasonable. Depending on the country, 15-30% of men will not find a relationship. Finding a relationsh…

You have some good ideas in this thread. But I have read all your responses to other posters, and I feel like you are trying hard to have your cake and eat it too. You need to show some goodwill from your side. Lonely men are put in the ridiculous position of being accused of being oppressors, while at the same time having a life that nobody would want. I am pretty sure you wouldn't want trade places with me. So how am I benefitting from male privilege? Pick one or the other.

After thinking it more, one condition of this having any chance of working, is that the term "male privilege" would have to stop being used. "Normalizing inceldom" which you admit may be a reality for up to 30% of men, and women still playing the victim card, just don't go together. Pick one or the other.

Lol, I'm already aware of all the points on your list. In fact, I've been aware since I was a teenager because this kind of advice, contrary to what you say, is actually given to men all the time. Knowing what's attractive and being able to embody it are two different things. Just like women who know being fat is unattractive but still struggle to lose weight. I can't believe I'm having to explain this.

What you're saying makes no sense. How can men like us be "validated" without getting relationships or sex. "Validation" with empty words is more-or-less equivalent to the solution proposed by the OP. The only other solution would be to somehow convince women to be attracted to a wider array of men, but I'm not sure if that's possible?

I'm one of those men, but claiming the number is over 50% is completely out of touch with reality. Look at any school, college or workplace. The majority of men are sociable and are able to fit in. The majority of men are "normal" enough to at least get a girlfriend once in a while. The minority of men who can't has increased in recent years, but something would have to go seriously wrong with society for that number to reach 50%.

Eh, just compare this sub to main MRA sub or other parts of the manosphere. It compares very well to them. Even if it isn't as left wing as originally intended, this sub does serve a purpose.

Funny thing is that men are sometimes portrayed as fools who are too socially clueless to pick up on women's subtle signs of attraction. We are expected to be mind readers in the dating scene.

Honestly, I don't like that whenever a man talks about being single, he is always showered with people telling him what to do to attract a woman. Oftentimes, men don't mind being single per se, we just don't want to be stigmatized for it.

As someone else has said there's more male geniuses and more male idiots but the average intelligence is the same (haven't seen any evidence pointing to the contrary). However, for most practical applications as long as a person is moderately intelligent, the ability to work hard and stay motivated has a higher influence on success than differences in brute intelligence. A few men might get ridiculously IQ scores or get extremely good in competitive intellectual activities like chess, but in the…

You're going a bit too far here. You call misandrists evil, feminists are going to call many men evil, and all you have is a shouting match instead of a discussion.
