Then keep politics off of here lol. Otherwise I will tackle them as politicians who deserve scrutiny as they are POLITICIANS

I’m expressing my interest in keeping this not political and I get people telling me that everything is political and none of this is political. I don’t see any helpful constructive information in any part of this thread relating to personal leveling up or relationship insight. Just a spread of information and the start or rise of political posts.

This sub is supposed to be a relationship slant or independence slat. Bring in any politics then it’s not about that anymore. I’d like to fix my corner of the world. If I wanted to be in a shitstrom of politics there are other subs for that.

Also I picked up violin from my bucket list. Bought one before the shut down. This is partly for me but partly for my partner. I am an artist but he is a musician and now I’m opening up myself to the world of music as something we can do together and apart.

Good point. I mean, would this be the sub to post personal leveling up during quarantine? Because that would be incredible, but there is a separate sub for that. Gah. I do believe that you can do things to level up for yourself, and other things with the intention of leveling up for your partner or future partner. Like during this pandemic I am getting more involved with stocks and politics so my partner and I have more to talk about. My partner is learning how to cook food in general but also h…

The photographer didn’t know what was going on. This is what sucks. Through the eyes of a bystander it doesn’t look like assault until you dig deeper. If it was a man finding his woman in a crowd that would be romantic AF. I choose to think that was the intention of spreading this message. It was a different time. It was a different stage. I don’t want to get outraged over something so old and so misinterpreted and misunderstood. Can we focus on modern examples? There are a lot of YouTube videos…

Keeping yourself safe is #1 It just all sucks. These men are not our responsibility. It’s good to do what you can though. I’ve been sharing this sub to all my friends to help elevate women in general. To help them spot red flags and understand what healthy is so protect themselves as much as they can. They have been spreading it to their friends. It just all sucks.

It’s really no joke. That’s horrible. The story is a great reminder of what happens if you aren’t careful in selecting your partner or getting out. Not blaming the victim, she should never have had been through this. He’s an awful man, but in terms of what you do have power of it’s good to keep in mind. We don’t want any women with monsters like these and it’s great to spread the message. Thank you for sharing.

I think it entirely depends on the culture you live in. If I wasn’t in a relationship I would have moved very far from the culture I’m in because finding a guy with integrity would be near impossible tbh My area does not attract those kind of people lol. I even have a hard time making regular friendships with women because the culture sucks. I’m only here because I found my guy and we are going to take care of our family members who live here as they get older. Your area’s culture may attract or…

I would love to see more positivity/praise posts for understanding of what good behavior is to be expected for many woman. It’s helped me play less games in my own head. The most jarring thing I saw was an abuse post in which we saw a woman hitting a man, him hugging her, and then hitting her once she rejects him again. I don’t come here for that. I come here to build up an idea of a healthy relationship and how to come across it/ build upon current relationships.

I’ve definitely had some good learning moments in here as a newb. I’ve been meaning to post an apology to a fellow FDS poster. She gave a guy shit for giving her a generic conversation starter on Tinder. I said she should have just blocked him if she didn’t like it and not to stoop to his level. I defended him saying Ice breakers are hard. Bad logical_influence! I know better now. Weed out LVM, only accept high value personalized ice breakers. Sorry girls! Learning here. Love this sub!

Yes! I’m so happy to hear about your peace! You do deserve to enjoy your life. For me this is also for general level up. I’ve been teaching myself how to approach situations more critically rather than out of fear. I struggle with a chronic illness and so my feelings/energy have been running me more than I’d like. Like I used to legit get bad brain inflammation so I’d have fake anxiety. Now that I’m better, my emotions are still running the ship more than I care for. No more! I wanted to share f…

They communicated! She’s been handed the red flags. She’s not enforcing “consequences.” she is betraying herself. He doesn’t want what she wants and she isn’t listening. Now she’s suffering different a set of negative consequences. She could have already moved on and found someone more compatible and respectable

She did communicate with him. He handed her the red flags front and center. 😂 We need to encourage each other to “communicate” to find these flags and GTFO if there is a lack of respect for boundaries. When my man does something I find unacceptable, I tell him that I’ll only forgive him permitted he’s earned it with behavior pattern change over time. This works for anything, big or small. It’s created a much healthier dynamic and he knows exactly what I expect. I feel the need to state that this…

You have a talent for understatement. I don’t consider those people to be acting like “friends” if they aren’t genuinely looking out for you. “Fun time acquaintance” seems more suitable. I mean I have a fun extreme case of this, but I no longer tolerate low quality people. I have many acquaintances, but only a handful of friends. I’ve come to dump a friend who was my best friend in HS because she talked me into giving my abuser another chance when I was in a low spot (chronic illness with bad br…

Giving benefit of the doubt, I have really weird triggers with texting because of my chronic illness and not being able to read at the worst of it. I also don’t like the stress of having people freak out on me if I don’t text back right away. I’ve basically cut off all people who are like this, but it’s ruined the fun of texting for me. Also my parents are foreign so there have been many fights around misinterpreted texts or texts read a few days later that confused them. It’s just that I do not…

I’m not saying you deserve it. But knowing how Tinder works it’s what to expect. We need to hold ourselves to a higher standard and not have this LVM bring us down. They should fully expect to entertain you too but icebreakers are hard.

Yes, the positive takeaway from this thread is now the red flag is clearly identified. Many of us are waking up we can recognize the manipulative behavior and dump his ass!

Fuck yeah. What I like about FDS is the both encourage HQW behavior and expect HQW to not settle for LQM.

Tbh you did answer his icebreaker in a low value way. It’s not a bad icebreaker. He just decided you aren’t compatible in the way you answered and decided to go for the low hanging fruit.

Thank you! Sometimes I struggle with this idea because my parents are from Eastern Europe and we always maintained a super clean home without help. It was just a cultural norm and it feels like a waste and a betrayal of my parents hard work to hire help. I legit have guilty feelings to work through. When I lived with my parents always used Thursday evenings to clean before the weekend after a grocery shopping trip and one Saturday a month to deep clean. It would be nice to have that time back in…

This was CA. I took the “cake” job because I had a great first interview and could be myself. It was honestly one of the best interviews of my life. We even ended up talking about controversial topics in a fun way. I enjoy a challenge and the job was working with a bunch of engineers (but I’m in marketing.) I was so shocked and heartbroken as the leaders showed their true colors.

It’s fucking stupid. Should be common sense. I’ve honestly been telling my fiancé that I expect to have a cleaner household because I want to be civilized. Thankfully he’s a good one. Just stressed due to working overtime. We worked on a plan together to make our household better. I refuse to “do things for him” I only do it for myself. We bought a roomba and a littler robot for our cats. I have the dishes in the dishwasher ready for him to take out after his shift. I clean the living room and h…

It was a boss moment at my old job. Small company with sexist leaders. Insisted on stupid stuff like bday parties. The women were expected to set up, clean up, and serve the cake. I was so proud when a coworker called my boss out on it when he asked if one of the girls would cut the cake. My boss ended up cutting the cake and cleaning up. I got it on video. Soooooo happy I left that job. I lasted less than a year.

I’m engaged and I’ve been looking for a good fun questionnaire to make sure we cover all that needs to be covered before making the ultimate commitment. It is wonderful. Thank you for posting. I was not expecting how overwhelming it is so scroll through this list. I had to pause lol. That’s just horrible. The guys need to ask to do this stuff. I do agree both parties should communicate ahead of time, but it’s on whoever wants to escalate (the guys in this instance!) or like at minimum read body language? I mean, I personally LOVE rough sex but I’ll admit I’m a little off and with an extremely high libido. Meanwhile my fiancé is wonderful in this regard. Very respectful of boundaries, not interested in rough sex unless I request it. It ruffles my feathers sometimes that he ha…

I want to believe but I have some pathetic ex- friends who would be so insecure to think this way. People can be THAT insecure. (Being in a relationship with a married man and his wife knows & is friends with the wife or fattening up your SO so you feel better etc.) I can’t help them. I’ve dumped them as friends. I don’t need that influence.
