I am honestly really confused by this. I want to know how he assumes his life is going to get better without her. He is financially independent on her ffs. Does he assume that one of the girls he's developed an online "connection" with is just going to let him move in with her and mooch off of her too?

I've been told before "if simping means treating my girlfriend like a Queen, then call me the biggest simp in the world". NVMs have been using that term on any man that treats a woman with an ounce of respect 🙄

I see a lot of lack of accountability on AskFDS. I understand that many of the women asking questions on there are in the beginning stages of their journey, and I hope that as they level up they start taking more accountability.

Yeah, I agree with you on that. I don't see how joking about eating a pizza during one of the most painful events in a woman's life that can be traumatizing and fatal is socially acceptable or funny. Pretty sure if anyone posted a photo of themselves at someone else's bedside being disrespectful during any other life-saving surgery, they'd be shamed. But since our duty in life is to be a baby incubator, this is what we have to deal with.

That realtor doesn't seem good at their job at all... I'd assume they'd much rather show you houses slightly over your budget than under. Good luck to you on your house search!

Once again, showing the double standard of terms used for women versus men. Being called a princess is bad, but being called a prince is good🙄 You made the right decision OP.

Any guy who says he wants a submissive girl is just a walking sack of red flags.

I live in Canada as well and it absolutely disgusts me that stealthing isn't a crime here.

The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. Clapbacks require time and energy that could be spent on loving and improving ourselves instead.

"I don't mean to reduce a woman to a car" - the lack of self-awareness here speaks volumes.

The older I get, the more I realize that in a healthy relationship, there should be zero reason to yell except for in one scenario: if someone's safety is on the line and you need to get their attention. Otherwise, there is always a more effective and non-abusive way to communicate your feelings or get your idea across.

I just looked at your relationship post and wow... The majority of comments are criticizing you for deciding to do an online search for your boyfriend's Reddit account? He created that account on a public site, it's fair game for anyone to find. The reality of the world is that so many people are out there hiding who they really are and for safety's sake, it's pretty important to be doing your own online research. I really can't believe people are out there telling you that was unethical.

Yes, usually men who want to be the "Dom" in bed do it because they can't exercise control over anything else in their life, so they want to exercise control over women in bed.

I think sadly, many women actually don't realize they've been sexually assaulted or raped. I've anecdotally had quite a few friends tell me they get into a sexual situation that they really don't want to be in where their consent isn't taken into consideration. They walk away feeling really shitty about it, but they don't realize that that's rape. And when confronted with the fact that it is rape, they brush it off, saying "he didn't mean for that to happen". It makes me so sad.

I absolutely agree. Right after a breakup, you're going to be too sad and craving companionship to see the whole picture and it can be easy to have rose-coloured glasses on and ignore red flags. You need to heal first and be happy with your life if you want to be able to find that HVM.

I've had too many female friends come to me complaining about their LVMs refusing to stop watching porn even though it was making them insecure and impacting their sex life and their LVMs always gave the same excuses: "it's so normal to watch porn, don't be a prude, humans aren't meant to be only attracted to one person, etc." I find it really messed up just how normalized it is, and how women are shamed for not being okay with their SO's porn addiction.

Yes, most of the time I would absolutely agree that it would be doing the bare minimum. But this, absolutely not. This is a huge moment that most people, whether male or female, would not want to miss.

I especially loved how he was so proud of her career and accomplishments, making sure to mention the cardiologist and M.D. part. I wish more men could be like this, supporting and being proud of their successful SOs instead of being jealous and trying to tear them down.
