Yes! Couldn't agree more. Paying for items with cash has really help me keep my spending in check. Nothing worse then starting the day with a paperbacks worth of cash and then ending up with a supermarket flyer worth at the end of the day to shock you into wondering how much you have spent.

We're in the same boat. I'm currently living with my parents as it's close to work(very close in fact, 100m!) A life saver as I work the night shift and it saves me long walks in the pitch darkness. Honestly theres nothing wrong with living at home as long as you pull your weight and help out around the house. Plus congrats on saving the 30k, that's awesome!

It's a life rule for me to always walk my friends to their car no matter where we are. The same goes with dropping them off at their homes. Just wish they would text promptly that they are safe at home rather then waiting 48hrs. (The anxiety!)
