23/F. If asked, I would say 5. Three LTRs, two ONS. Not necessarily proud or ashamed of any of it, but I don't try to lie about it. I would underreport according to these parameters. I only count PiV sex (haven't had anal). I've only given oral to three, and follow a fairly strict "boyfriend" rule (with the exception of then-dude I was dating - now-boyfriend). However, I've received oral from six. Neither of my ONS went down on me, so that would make my total "number" 8. And everyone who is insi…

"I'm going to fuck around outside my ethnic group until I hit The Wall then find a nice Beta Bux from my ethnicity to lock down" i can't honestly think of a girl who is consciously "looking for" BB. i think it is just something she realizes when her pool of options shrinks

i feel that. i don't "look" asian (i'm only 1/4) so sometimes guys think it's ok to say racist shit. i will literally just look at them now and be like "you know when you say something shitty about asian men you're insulting my father, right?"

I think what is interesting about my grandma is that she married an American man but encouraged all of her children (and even me) to be with partners of our "culture"...

this is something that confuses me about TRP. most women who think this way are accused of "AFBB" but nothing wrong with a guy who thinks this way. A flighty head case party bro with the bangin' bod can be seen as just fine when all you want is some crazy monkey sex with minimal attachments and complications. When you are looking for more emotional fulfillment and the possibility of sharing more of your life with someone, the more stable, down-to-earth, boy-next-door starts looking far more attr…

For clarification on my interest, my dad is actually half white and half (undisclosed) Asian. While he has some strong opinions on women of his mother's culture, most of them revolve around their temper (Asian women aren't that sweet and demure, sorry). I don't think he would ever go to describe them with the same sexually-based vitriol, nor have I met ANY mixed man who holds those kinds of opinions.

what does a man want to be valued for? what does a woman want to be valued for? is the answer somehow projected onto members of their preferred gender? oh whoa, magic!

we expect it from men. not necessarily. a lot of times men are held to certain standards (whether they are "too high" or even the basics) and can't meet them.

She's All That, the guy doesn't like her until she gets the makeover you know what, i'm just gonna say this: all they did was take off her glasses, put down her hair, and take her out of her "non-conformist" type of style. same with the princess diaries. the girls were already hella pretty. freddy was just ignorant and a poorly written character. i prefer 10 things i hate about you.

I personally prefer being judged on my actions (a success object, even) rather than what I've been born with. yup, me too. the huge disconnect has at least a part in the values we instill in young girls.

i don't think that it's necessarily going for "average" or nerdy guys that wins the ticket, i think it is simply knowing on what level each person is on and what they're looking for. i developed a crush on a (nerdy) coworker and while i thought it was reciprocated, he was only interested in casual sex.

I identify as a feminist, but I do think that the "have it all" fallacy is damaging for women, especially in my age/economic group (early 20s, college graduates). it's this extreme idea that in order to be successful in society, you absolutely have to be a businesswoman/wife/mother/socialite and excel at it all. that is false. you typically have to focus on two of the above and go from there.

Most of the time it is caused by hormonal reactions. but if you say this to a woman you look like an insensitive asshole. as far as what a woman experiences, usually it is an intense, impossible feeling of a loss of control or a fear of loss of control. this is a loss of control over...everything. which we don't inherently have control over anyway, but these are just my own experiences. it is sometimes difficult to differentiate menstrual hormonal experiences and episodes caused by depression or…

Men don't like feeling inferior to their partner because of masculinity/power complexes. This is why so many "SAHD" have something on the side (musician, blogger, etc.) and a perceived majority of them (and often their wives) are not content with them simply being "a stay-at home dad." Women, on (a perceived) average, will do the majority of child rearing and housekeeping, regardless of how much they make. From my perspective (somewhat educated, middle-wage earner), would it be in my best intere…

I see. I've met a few people who actively try to change from one category to another on the Myers Briggs thing, and I'm still not exactly sure why. but i suppose it has to do with social perception, much like a woman would want to (or just through some event does) transition from one of these categories to another.

i'm not sure about the whole "every woman goes through each of these phases" comment, but i definitely know i can peg myself (and some of my friends) into only one of these categories. interesting.

spinning plates for women is dating multiple guys without having sex with them. i had a friend who told me one time when she was single she had a guy for "every day of the week" -- one to take her to dinner, to the movies, out dancing, etc. without having sex or committing to any of them.

I would advise not to financially invest in a guy in general. As far as emotional investment in these types of guys who advertise it?...I dated a guy who actually was a former player/party-boy, and he heavily talked down that side of his past. He was embarrassed about his behavior. A guy who really desires a woman is going to try to read her and mimic what she wants. If she thinks of herself as a "good" woman and the guy doesn't play up his "good" man characteristics (and instead tries to act li…

you can try and try and try, but essentially no one deserves anything. i think the whole "male entitlement" argument can be better summarized as: male entitlement to female sexuality is defined by the specific actions certain males enact to assert control and dominance over female presence. this is seen by unwarranted solicitations for sexual intent: catcalling, groping, dudes who casually bring up "would you hook up with me" hypotheticals, and of course the guys who can't take rejection. female…

(fresh, well-done) shaving gives the appearance of pre-pubescent. i think it's safe to say for most women that hair started growing down there at around 11-12. especially darker haired girls like myself. when a woman shaves for her partner, it is effectively giving him license over her body "i am doing this for you." men who prefer women who shave their pubic regions prefer women who view a man's opinion as more important than their own. might be extreme, but so is asserting 'men' in general pre…

At the same time, American men have a relatively positive reputation for being chivalrous, nice, loyal, etc. compared to most men (although this is not quite as dramatic as the negative reputation American women have in foreign lands). From my experiences traveling, talking to non-American women, and being mistaken for being not American, American men have a reputation for being demanding, spoiled, fake, lazy, self-righteous, and overall rude. Bitches, and even ordinary entitled-feeling hot women, should be invisible to us. being physically attractive does help with your sex life, however also gives you a leg up in the professional world (there have been studies that pretty people get the job more often) -- and just in socialization in general. physically attractive people are trusted more easily. plus people are already interested in what you have to say before you start speaking.

try getting one of the men you date on such a trip, it's imensly rewarding. on the whole, i love traveling alone, but i believe it. we'll see when i get "home" just don't ask for a guy's age because it could unconsciously make you bias i don't, i just ask how old they think i am ahaha (i look like a teenager) anyway, nice talking to you, hope to do it again.

that is quite common, I'm sorry. happens. just need to expand my social circle. if it comes from a place of self respect that is okay, if it comes out of a place of fear, that makes you filter out the exact type of guy you need. it can be a mixture of both, but if the dude is genuinely disrespectful i do my best to stay away.

conversation. once it comes out that he's interested in sex, that's when i doubt everything. because her input is not original, it is regurgitated from someone else well, that sounds disrespectful. a feminist "feels less" if she makes you "feel more" i'd say this is true for any woman who doesn't feel respected by the man she's with. Every woman i've met who has many multiple partners has different surface reasons. honestly though, I feel that sex outside of a committed relationship is for the same reason regardless of gender: validation. i've also found that sometimes a woman likes to have sex as a way of reclaiming her sexuality after being with a partner for a long time (especially if that partner turns out to be a less-than-decent human being), as a way of saying her body isn't some guy's property. and i have a big issue…

this is not the fault of feminism. feminism on the whole, is a good thing. it's because of feminism that women are taught any amount of self-respect in a formal setting (aside from whatever family values they may be fortunate enough to grow up with). it's because of feminism that i refuse the whole "working my way up" from casual sex --> girlfriend bullshit. it's because of feminism that i can refuse to be in situations (and that i am not "obligated" to please a man). sure it killed the idea tha…

If women want to be praised for character, they need to be taught honor. I've known guys who admit to taking girls on multiple dates just so they "put out" and then never call them again. Honorable? The last time I had genuine feelings for someone was a coworker of mine who turned out to be just interested in casual sex and moved on when I didn't "put out" (because I was interested in dating first.) If being good looking was the only pressure society put on me, I'd do everything in my power to l…

I would say so young girls can develop the self-respect to leave emotionally compromising situations. People are definitely shallow (I know I am), but it feels a helluva lot better to have a man you commit to commend you for your character vs your bone structure. Like I said, girls already feel the pressure to be beautiful all the time. Why should we include it in curriculum to say that's the end-all-be-all? And honestly, a lot of these beauty standards are completely unrealistic. I know many wo…

It's the level of looks where everyone's a narcissist. Most of the time it's at a somewhat healthy and humorously self-degrading level. My ex-boyfriend regularly joked he was like Liz Lemon's useless hot doctor boyfriend. From my experience guys who are "average" actually treat pretty girls like shit because they think we're treated like princesses all the time. I'm not into that. But is it necessary to say then that a woman's youth and looks (which she ultimately does not have a huge amount of …

You see, no it's not. I've been considered "above average" in the looks department, and I always strongly emphasize that I just got lucky with genetics. Literally that's it, an interest in fitness, and hair and skin care products to maintain (which is expensive). And from my experiences dating there are two different types of "above average" attractive guys: the type who values a woman's looks above all -- usually vapid, narcissistic and with some masculinity complex. the type who values a woman…

Women already worry about that. No need to say that's your most important asset. Maybe no one gave a shit about yours, but I know I'm going to care about my children's.

Yeah, but if I were told at 14 that the opposite sex only values my looks I feel like that would've done some massive damage to my self-esteem. Girls have Disney fantasies where guys care about them as people, you know.

What about teaching children to be honest with their intentions? What about teaching mutual respect and healthy emotional relationships? I don't think this educational reform is going to work with scare tactics and hand-holding through learning how to interact with the opposite sex.

Let's say she's had a few failed LTRs in which she thought she did everything correctly (dated, waited, loyal, the whole shebang). After she starts "dating" around again, she comes to find that eligible guys that she's attracted to are only interested in casual sex - which doesn't line up with her built value system. What are her options?

What would that kind of education look like? I'm curious because I've thought about this myself, but I wouldn't know what to tell a completely inexperienced girl what to expect from the opposite sex.

But where lies the difference between the two? What happens when the "good girl" gets disillusioned?

What about the flip side to this? What about the girl who waits and waits for her "first" and he turns out to be literal trash? At what point does she become "damaged goods" and/or a slut? For a lot of young girls learning how to read men and their genuine intentions is a daunting task that sometimes ends in failure. Does that make a girl a slut if she misjudges a few times? How can we better equip young women with the knowledge of how to read guys -- because I can tell you from personal experie…
