Right? I need all to feel loved. It's an excuse for low effort so that the bar is low for men. To force women to settle.

Exactly. The women here are familiar with LVM so they have a lot of insight on how manipulative they are. Those posts are extremely important to recognize red flags since LVM are insidious.

My mom had a uterine prolapse from carrying heavy stuff when I was in high school. Since then, I haven't been told to carry groceries so my male family members and my mom do the heavy lifting. I had to watch my mom struggle pushing our broken boiler because no one else was around to help. I asked if I can help and she said no. :<

Hell, "brilliant mouth" could mean she's tired of his shit and she called him out on it. She spent 12 years with this LVM.

I think I can see why. Felt "chemistry" as if analyzing compatibility. Sounds dehumanizing. "No man makes me a low priority." He just did. Also it's not normal for us to speak in an authoritative manner.

I've been thinking of calling it visual harassment.

I'm fat too. While I would like to lose weight I'm not in a position to do so right now but I hope to work on it in the future for my health.

Testicularly challenged is a great phrase. Better than mansplaining. 🤣

Your first paragraph can also be applied to Mexico hence why I'm not dating a man from Mexico but an Americanized Mexican. On top of that, I'd be worried about being used for a green card aside from being a bangmaid.

I can recommend a nice romantic one. Snow White with the Red Hair. I consider the male protagonist to be a HVM. The female protagonist is also a great character.

I had a short guy stalking me because I'm shorter than him. I encountered him next to another short girl and it finally clicked why he was following me. I'd be open to dating short men but I'm already in a relationship. He's a foot taller than me. Honestly a bit too tall but oh well.

Even women have the same mentality. These people sound so smug and pretentious when they say they don't do anything and that it's just another day. Good for you. Let the rest of us enjoy it. P.S. Me and boyfriend are poor so we haven't been hanging out or going on dates. Valentine's Day gives us a chance to be together. Neither of us like crowds so we celebrate a week earlier or later.

We're not teachers and the internet exists. Teaching men how to parent is not our job. They can learn by themselves. And if he has to learn, then he won't be a good father.

I've recently noticed an uptick on posts about men being "falsely" accused. Their girlfriends would not believe the victims and sided with their boyfriends. I was thinking they were false to further the MRA agenda but this subreddit reminds me that pickmeishas exist. We should always believe victims which is the whole point of the #me too movement. Yeah, men can be falsely accused but the chances are so low.

For CF women who don't hate children, I recommend r/truechildfree. They're tired of the misogyny and child hate of the child free subreddit.

I was able to avoid dating LVM. The chances of completely avoiding seem really low according to what other women have said. I also got really lucky. He was my best friend first.

Him first. He should know what it's like before doing it to you. If he's not willing to do it first then he shouldn't do it to you either.

I wished I could say that to my boyfriend. A variation of pegging did come up and he sounded open to trying it. One of his exes fingered him and he didn't enjoy but he thinks he might enjoy it with me so maybe one day. 😂

I didn't say yes or no. He was paying attention to my body language so when he noticed that it wasn't working he immediately stopped. We've been together for a few years and most of the sex we've had is vanilla. When I say twice it's an approximation because he has not tried often. He would try to make me comfortable with a massage which he's done like 2 times.

HVM will not push for anal sex. My boyfriend is interested in it and he has tried it but in the few years we've been together he only tried it like twice and when I say tried I mean he did not go in. He tried to get me into it and I didn't say no to see what it's like because I'm inexperienced and I trust him. When he noticed that I was not having a positive reaction he stopped. By the way, I've never had anal sex and my boyfriend is my first everything so if we have anal sex it'll be when I'm i…

No. Men conflate porn with masturbation so whenever we talk about how harmful porn is, men are threatened because they think we're saying they're not allowed to masturbate. They don't masturbate without porn.

Thanks for the advice! I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow so I'm gonna see what the doctor recommends. There's a Planned Parenthood close to where I live so that'll be my next option. I typically get cramps for an hour max and my periods last for 4 days max with around medium flows.

That's terrible. I'm thinking of getting the Paragard but reading anecdotes like this is scary. I don't want to use hormonal birth control and to be honest, I don't like condoms. 😫

The worst part is that the men think there's a female bias. Maybe men are just so shitty that people are more likely to side with the woman. Oh but an attack on one man is an attack on all men. 🙄

Even as a teen I knew guys only wanted to use us for sex. Why is it so hard to believe men only care about getting their dicks wet?

I had a gay friend in high school do this to a female friend of his after he came out. I was uncomfortable. And to think I used to like him. I have no idea how she felt though. I guess she found it amusing since they were part of the same community.

I didn't have my first kiss until I was 22. He was my best friend and he became my boyfriend. He's been my first everything. When we were friends I would rant to him about being single and he suggested that I lower my standards. I didn't and now we're dating. We didn't immediately fall in love with each other. We happened to be compatible when we were friends so jumping into a relationship is and has been easy. I know one of the tips is to not have male friends and to be wary of them. While I do…

We talk about ways men try to manipulate us for sex. We warn each other about what men to avoid which are LVM. Most men are LVM. They don't like that we are setting boundaries and not settling for less.

My boyfriend and I are vanilla so we're happy with normal sex. He says that he enjoys vanilla sex because it can be sprinkled with other sex acts. He doesn't have fetishes and tries to pleasure me. I say try because I was a virgin so I don't understand what works on me either. He doesn't push my boundaries and he will stop if I'm in pain. He also communicates to make sure I'm enjoying myself. When he wants to switch positions he lets me know. He knows I won't give him a blowjob on my own so he'l…

It's really weird being hit on by a middle schooler when you're a decade older because you still pass as a teen. Either that or it's acceptable for teens to hit on women.

Men are calling us manipulators for wanting men to pay for dates and dropping them if they don't. They're upset that we won't put up with LVM. And they don't have proof we are manipulating.

I think their only calculation is their male pride and ego to kill and be deemed a "hero". Anyone else is just casualty to them.

None but unfortunately the majority of women are not self respecting since we're told from a young age to lower our defenses and give any man a chance because poor him.

I agree with you. I'm 4'9 and my boyfriend is 5'11. He's a bit too tall for me and I'd be fine with a man a few inches taller than me. He even asked me about it kind of like he was expecting me to say tall men only. But OP is right. Men around my height are rare. And then you have short insecure men being entitled to us because they have to feel masculine.

Growing up, my boyfriend only had a half sister and last year learned he had another half sister. He witnessed his stepfathers abuse his mom and so he aspires to be a good person after seeing how badly they treated his mother. She's been done with men for years and has been living the single life with her children. Anyway, my boyfriend cares about everyone and gets along with everyone. He doesn't treat women that differently from men.

I'm an only sister with brothers and I learned to be wary of men from the way my father treats my mother. Also, learning from media about how men only look for sex especially as teens and young adults. I've always had high standards and managed to avoid bad relationships. In fact, I didn't have my first relationship until I was a young adult and have never been in the dating scene.

I'm a pedestrian so I get anxious crossing streets. Just last week I had 3 different instances where I was walking in the middle of the street and drivers tried to turn anyway. They were a few inches from me. A lot of drivers don't care that pedestrians have the right of way.

Dating isn't a right. It's a privilege. We don't have to give all men a chance. I don't see men giving women chances that are not their type. There's a big double standard when it comes to dating.

Men tell each other not to listen to dating advice from women because you don't ask a fish how to catch them because they're predators and we're their prey. They ask each other instead.

A similar post gave me the radical idea that men should pay taxes for children's services. We already pay with our time, body, and effort and too many men avoid paying child support.
