It is everywhere and it has been normalized. I just roll my eyes and thank god I am not them or in their situation. The only thing one can do is lead by example and control the things you can control. I don't bother too much with saving others, if they are ready, they will change themselves.

He just wants women's attention because he probably heard we are attracted to men who seem good dads. As in ,,Look i am a "good dad" I will be a good dad to our potential offspring too, just let me get my d*** wet, please!!!!''

Yes, this was also my biggest revelation. Marriage for a lot of women just isn't worth it, and more of a liability than an asset. It is time this delusion lost it's halo. In general, a woman should only commit to herself.

Those guys are probably already planning their exit strategy before anything has even begun. If you are a SAHM and he decides to leave you, the divorce will cost him more than if you have had a job, and he will have to support you longer after the break up. It is all about the money. They are cold calculating bastards.

I think she saved herself a lot of time by snooping and letting him break up with her over it. He was already working on an exit strategy and we as women often blame ourselves, trying to work it out because we think we are lacking. If he didn't break up with her then she would have tried harder to win him over again which is basically a losing battle. Best case scenario: He would have married her and cheated on the side. Worst case: He would have kept her as a forever gf and eventually dumped he…

I have an "opportunistic asshole" in my contacts. I called him that after finding out he suddenly turned into the live-in boyfriend of a girl who had a nice flat in a very expensive city where he couldn't find an affordable place to live. How convenient! He instantly had a flat instead of a walk-in closet sized dorm room to live in. After a few months he told me, they had decided to have an open relationship and if I was interested to meet up again lol

I agree. I think the believe of catching a HVM is a trap that keeps us in a rat race. There are no good guys, only bad guys who haven't been found out.

I guess maybe because they can't attract the partner they really desire, they compromise by having "relationships" with multiple less than ideal people that they can attract, which raises their self esteem and gives them maybe a greater chance to attract the more desirable mate in the future.

Maybe we should just do something similar and see how we like it. "I need a man to do X, but not too much or I will be out going on dates and getting entertained by someone else." Our commitment should be the ultimate prize, and should be calculated and conditional.

I am in my mid-thirties and I don't really get asked this question. I live in western Europe and people here are more interested in judging you on your next holiday destination than your family status (which might be why our birthrates are so low and declining). I am glad they don't shame women into procreating, at least. Most of the women I know who have become mothers lead lives I wouldn't want to trade with. They are insanely busy, forced into being pickme's for the sake of their child, putti…

Would have been even sweeter if they didnt publish it on social media as an advertisement for their next potential partners, but at least those posts raise people's standards apart from individual agendas. Guy: Look how wonderfully I treat my girlfriend - that could be you (if you are even hotter!) Girl: Look how wonderfully my bf treats me - that could be you (if you treat me even better!) Dating has become something of an arms race..imo.

Guys dont give a damn. He probably just said he wants to remain childfree to be on the same page as you. Actions speak louder than words. The truth is that very few will ever get a vasectomy because their "endless" fertility is an asset to them in drawing in more (child-minded) young women in the future. They ignore the risk because they are full of themselves, think they can bully someone into an abortion or play the hapless victim later. They love baiting women with the possibility of children…

That is true. Let's call him beneficial rather than high value. I totally agree with you. I am almost in my mid thirties and those thoughts have crossed my mind many times. As women we are blessed with a biological clock which means that at a certain age I don't have to keep worrying about having kids or not. I can then 100% focus and spend everything on myself and not tolerate anything just to produce more workforce for society. Often a man is like another child for a …

But this is really common. I have a friend who went back to school for professional training and has a part time job on the side to contribute to the household income of her boyfriend of 17 years who's baby daughter she raised. I understand your feelings and i also dont believe in the HVM definition as fds understands it (which is basically a HVW with a penis). The thing is, i believe all men cheat or would do so if given the chance. HVM or not. And HVMs are even more likely to because they are surrounded by chances to stray. They might behave well until they believe they locked her down but then brace yourselves. No happily ever after, if a loyal husband is what you dream of. So what's a girl to do? I think we should …

Male privilege - it doesn't benefit them if we are vigilant and looking out for ourselves, and discover their badly hidden secrets. Of course, they shame us for it. Men always ask women for more pics, pics, pics, evolutionary speaking, women should ask to see their bank statements in return. Because reproductive success is beauty+resources, and men have never been shamed for demanding proof of the former, while to women the later is just as important. Unfortunately it is easier to fake wealth than it is to fake youth & beauty. It is like we carry our evolutionary bank statements on our foreheads while guessing his hidden balance.

Just another excuse for guys to advocate the low effort drinks date and splitting the bill at a restaurant. Just stay watchful, a guy will say about anything in order to convince a woman to sleep with him, and it often works because in romantic situations we only see what we wish to see, especially if there's strong attraction. Dont get too hyped and wait long enough to figure out if what he tells you is based on reality and not just a fantasy he would like others to believe. Men lie and they lie a lot, watch if his behavior matches his words.

They see it that way because enough women consented to being treated like that, so it became a standard in their minds. It is also very porn inspired but affecting both genders, girls want to be as cool and casual about it as a porn star to impress him, he sees it happening on the screen all the time without any foreplay and believes all are crazy for his d***. Both are basically brainwashed and delusional.

I am kinda pessimistic so I always assume that any guy would use me for sex/cheat on me (regardless of my looks or even commitment) if they have the chance to. Therefore i aim to make it expensive for them so I profit whatever the outcome. I prepare for the worst and hope for the best. You can use men for sex, too, and if you don't want that then build genuine intimacy with one or two by having sexless dates. If they stick around fine, if they don't you rid yourself of time wasters. Also, intima…

Men who love bomb and then give you the silent treatment if you don't match their expectations of being totally in love (read: a fool for him) after the second date. The only love they are capable of feeling is for themselves, others are just mirrors for their weak egos.

My first hunch would be that he is probably married and doesn't want you to disturb his "married bliss" until he decides to tell you about it, and sees if you are on board with it. Limiting your interaction to a dating site reduces his risk to be found out.

He is probably into that kind of thing, money fetish they call it. Use the cash asap, he can withdraw it again if it is on paypal. I think he really deserved your treatment. Mistresses always lose legally, emotionally and financially, they might as well get compensated for it. They are even worse off than hookers. Actually asking for gifts is a good way to see how serious a guy is. Of course, not at the beginning, but if you have a fwb you want to stop fucking but you cant, you can ask right awa…

Paying all the bills for a lady on a date restricts his ability to date other women and keep his options open. Most guys want to date as many as possible and resent parting with any recources (time/money/effort) especially if he is only after a "cheap" fuck. I would never go out with such a guy. If he wants to keep seeing multiple women he has to work harder, not get smart with me. I dont put up with it - ever -

Guys no matter how broke and ugly will always feel entitled to get women because their self esteem is a lot higher than that of the average woman who got her shit together. If they dont get what they want, they always blame others so they can keep living in their "misunderstood stud" fantasy. The sad thing is that those guys can only exist because of the lack of self-esteem in women or they would have died out long ago, or at least would have been raised differently (not spoiled rotten by their …

I am so sorry what you had to go thru. In my early twenties i also wasted half a decade on a guy who was no good. This experience will change you forever. The good thing is once you lost trust in men - in romance alltogether - you will never quite suffer as much again as you did before, and you will start to see dating as a game, and in dating as in most pursuits the one with the cold heart and clear head has the ultimate advantage.

Everytime my mother pressures me to settle for some mediocre guy, i tell her i rather stay childless than be responsible for another idiot being born.

I agree, young women are easy bait. I already worry that if I ever have a daughter she will fall prey to some imbecile, no matter what I do. She can read this entire sub and hear all horror stories about guys and it won't help until she slips and falls and feels the pain herself. And the pains are varied, they are so many different traps a young woman can fall into with men, but only her own pain will teach her. I wish there was an effective inoculation so that not every new generation of women …

I agree that your own money gives you options and one should always have as many as possible. Still, here in Germany we have social support, no one will starve or go without housing and basic comforts if they apply for it. The state is our sugar daddy if all fails. Still having more money is nice and having your own income provides a lot more than just money. Marriage is very important because if you divorce your assets get divided equally especially if you were a SAHM without own income, his in…

For me the only reason to get hung up on a loser would be if he was extraordinarily attractive which it seems he isnt, or because i need to be needed by him, which i suspect might be the case here. If you love to be needed you always end up being with guys who dont have their shit together and take advantage of you. You are not his mommy and you cant help or fix him. He is a black hole. Go and volunteer somewhere it will be more appreciated and healthier. When i am fed up with guys and need a br…

So true. Their lack of own benefit is the premise for all their complaints and preachings. Do right for yourself by doing them wrong, but dont kiss and tell.

I see it happening all the time in germany by women who ought to know better. We have totally spoiled german men so that they expect it now from their women, all the while they are out shopping for a "docile" asian girl who they will provide fully for. I am half german, half asian myself and born there so i know what i am talking about.

I think her secret was spending less time on losers by scaring them away early on, so she had more time to devote to men who were treating her the way she desired.
