She flaked. It happens, man. Girls don't know what they want and they have an abundance of men at their finger tips. Therefore they can make plans one day and just think, "Eh, maybe next time," when the date actually comes. Keep making plans; numbers are key.

I'm a little late to the party here, but I'd like to just give my two cents because I was exactly like you. Wanted a long term relationship, everyone knew I'd be a great boyfriend, rejection after rejection, etc. This lasted for 5 years after a bad breakup. In those 5 years, I had ups and downs. Hookups and flings. Sex and blue balls. All of it not working out for one reason or another. Finally one girl got my hopes up so much and let me down so bad, that I gave up. I absolutely said, "Fuck this…

To answer your direct question, the reaction is to smile confidently, chuckle, and say with humorous subtlety, "Thank you, I like to think I'm not that much of a creep." From your post, it sounds like she was having a great time and felt a real connection with you. I get this line of conversation all the time and it's great. I get a lot of Tinder dates off the fact that I actually try to connect with them and have meaningful conversations. It's a good way to set yourself apart from the rest of t…

As someone who got somewhat heartbroken over such a situation only a few months ago, this is a great article. I feel way better about what happened, and I'm glad I took the chance of taking action as opposed to rolling over and letting her get away without risk. I did my best to keep up communication, to make plans with her, to keep what we had going, and maybe I came off as clingy, but I gave it my best shot.

As a 21/M who studies away from home, I find myself in your position a lot, both at school and at home. I'll find a girl at school right before I go home for break, or visa versa. I like this FR because you were open and honest as I might have to be very soon (semester ends next week). Furthermore you seem to have gained a lot from this experience and remain optimistic. I find that the worst thing you can do (which I sort of just did and regret) is try to rush the relationship in an attempt to s…

Your situation is the same as a lot of people here. And I was the same way too. Confidence has always been a problem for me. Tinder, club game, dates, confidence is so key and yet so difficult for people like you and me to channel. I'm going to get a lot of shit for this but... drink. Go to the club, and drink. Get just drunk enough that you don't give a shit what people think of you when you dance with girls. Get drunk and get on Tinder. My best days on Tinder and OKC have been when I had a gla…

I feels ya, OP. After 2 and a half years of refusing to have sex with any girl that I didn't truly like, I decided to give in and fuck a random girl I met on Tinder out of frustration. Not worth it. Sex is just not as meaningful to me if it's not with someone I have feelings for.

To be honest, you could build a great connection with a girl and still creep her out by straying from social norms. Depending on one's age, this is one of them. I myself am 20, and even if I had a great first interaction with a girl, I know that calling her implies a level of intimacy in a relationship which could scare her off by doing so too early.

You move on. Find another girl to talk to. Just like when I (5'9") or anyone else gets rejected, you keep going. It's a numbers game.

"Ever kissed a midget before?" That's all you need. Kino initiated and intimacy established.

That's a great way to phrase it and exercise equality. I've luckily never had this problem, though my ex usually insisted on my paying.

You handled it very well dude. Personally (and this is just a rant, stop reading now), I think guys paying for a first date has nothing to do with chivalry. Pay for your own damn food if you want respect. How is having someone pay for you "respectful?" That's implicative of dominance and disrespect if anything!!!

19 year old here, calling is considered lame as fuck where I'm from. As much easier as it is, as much more cementing it is in terms of plans, as much as I prefer it to texting (and I do with friends), calling is considered old fashioned by most kids my age.

True, but I know sometimes I don't get a text someone says they sent me and visa versa. Like a girl that I texted this afternoon and didn't answer me, I just saw her in the hallway, she said she didn't get it, and she's down to hangout tomorrow night (YAY.) Either way, your rules are pretty good and solid.

I don't know about Canada, but I know that in the USA, I'd side with the woman in this case. You can't deny a person service based on color, creed, or sex. This guy shouldn't be running a barbershop if he can't cut a certain person's hair due to his personal religious beliefs. Or maybe someone else working there could do it instead. And if no one there is not muslim, hire someone who isn't for these situations.

I get that once in a while and my girl friends (who have friend zoned me hard, not terrible, they undress infront of me and I've hooked up with a few of them) call me metro constantly. I'm 5'9" and dress very well. I've been mistaken for gay as well, and honestly, I use it to my advantage. Girls like me, they trust me because they don't think I'm after them. Being in college, text game is extremely important. I try not to overload a girl I'm pursuing with too many texts, but I usually have to solicit her first. Should I back off and hope she texts me, or be persistent and insistent on us hanging out?

That's not really a response to what I said... Look, dudeski, I understand your frustration with memes and meme-overload, I'm just saying that if we stick the conversation to relevant issues in the MRM, it shouldn't be an issue. Not trying to pick a fight or anything, we're all on the same side here =)

It sounds like you think you got raped... Obviously go to the police and get tested, but let them get his side of the story, because honestly I don't understand how you can be blacked out, but remember having sex, but not remember having sex, but not remember being passed out, but remember being passed out, etc... Redditor for two minutes... Probably someone I know, and I think I know who. Anyway, calling me "gay" is just immature. So is making the generalization that all "men like challenge, competition, [and] excitement." I drink with them all the time, just about every weekend. If you accept getting in for free, you fully well know why you got in for free: so you can be a sexual target all night. So when you're grinding up on guys all night, you shouldn't be complaining about how dirty men are.

I just wanted the basics. I heard the religious side of it when I was young as hell and it was pretty biased. And I still don't understand how cutting my dick made God like me more. I don't see why not... If it doesn't endanger the life of or hurt the child. I should rephrase the posted question: Since most would not consider the act of circumcision that big of a deal, why does r/MensRights care so much? Is it because by the time we're old enough to decide if we want it cut, it's too late and it's already been done? Is it because MGM is supposedly traumatizing (though I know very few who are from this experience)? I'm not trying to argue with you all, I'm curious as to why …
