Ultimately it comes down to calories in vs calories out - But there are benefits to Intermittent Fasting outside of that (OMAD is essentially extreme IF). I had good results keeping to a 6 hour eating window, after a short time your body adapts and you stop being hungry until you are used to eating at 12 (or whenever). While I don't think it has any magic weight loss properties it is just harder to eat more when you only eat in a short time frame.
