To be fair, it's not really related to feminism. Vast majority of us have this, regardless of whether we espouse or sympathize with feministic beliefs. Even a lot of conservatives would be fearful of men being around their daughters. This is generally biologically driven and we can't really do anything about this. It transcends people's beliefs. "Defending" yourself against woman always seems risky, unless you have actual camera footage or witnesses. I would jsut try to stay away from women as much as possible in these situations. Even if you use non lethal force, people will still try to find a way to defend the women, especially if there are bystanders they might end up beating you up.

The thing I've seen about most scientific studies is that they somehow have to prove that women are on average better than men (if not equal), even if it means twisting the facts or using dubious methodology.
