Didn't mean to make you all butthurt little guy. It'll be fine.

No guns really break easily, but they will be from a sub tier brand with a shitty trigger, cheap Mexican made internal parts, cheap magazines that wear out, and you'll have to clean them after every trip to the range to keep them from jamming.

Restrictions against bolt down safes are common on leases. Especially on second+ floor. Unless it's a shitty place, then it's all fair game. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about regard to "wall mounting". Even assuming I had enough guns to necessitate a stud length $2000 safe, and it was allowed, and there was a such thing as a wall mounted gun safe, it would be stupid to mount it against a wall in a fucking apartment where it could be removed with a solid kick or a crowbar. You li…

$450-500 brand new. $350-400 used (or less). With guns, anything cheaper than a glock is a waste of time and money in my opinion. They are THE high quality + low cost handgun. You could get a really small "single stack" 9mm, but they aren't fun to shout at all.

Thanks. I think I'm going to tell them I'm donating $100 to the NRA in their name

Lol duly noted. 223 penetrates way more than any non-magnum hollowpoint, ftr. I have bird shot in my 870 right now.

I have concrete floors and it's against the rules of my landlord, regardless. Lmao, here let me just bolt a safe into some drywall. Who even makes a wall mounted gun safe? And why the fuck would I buy a house just to lock up my guns? You sound like a fucking moron. I know who to ignore for my advice on girls, now.

I live by myself, no kids around. If I put a lightweight standing floor safe in my apartment it's no better than a cabinet that locks. That could be dollied out if someone intentionally wanted to rob my guns. You can't put a fucking vault in an apartment dude. I have no interest in "securing my weapons".

Go glock. There are tons of different pistols and all are generally good, but the glock is indestructible, simple, reliable, and proven.

Dude girls really are mirrors of who they're with. I've noticed that with every girl I've dated, even casually. I don't really have an issue with girls that have whored around a lot. I have, too. I guess I cared about that stuff a lot when I was younger, but they just lie about how many ppl they slept with, so who cares. If I met a girl who was inexperienced, I would honestly be skeptical of her rather than impressed. Even girls that get married early on end up cheating, then divorcingv and goin…

Thank you for the post. What do you suggest is a proper verbal response? Just be sarcastic? Silent? If I was just being myself, I would mostly justify myself with the truth. The truth fears no question, after all. But if I chose not to, I'm not sure what the response would look like. Can you give a conversational example?

Ah gotcha. Kind of an odd thing to think about. I mean, I'm a dude. But looking around the downtown area I'm in now, there isn't a lot of masculinity going around.

Thank you. I have decided to ask this one girl to go shoot with me. I think I will rent a little .22 for her at a gun range. I haven't had a bad conversation about hunting so far. I explain how hogs are insanely invasive and we hunt deer based on population control and if we didn't, they would be a nationwide danger on the roads. Girls generally don't even think about that stuff, so it might be a good lead in to gun ownership for protection.

Do you think it's better to do this upfront? As in, maybe the first or second time you've hung out with a girl? Or should you just try to push past it and save the teaching for a girl you plan on keeping around?

Jesus that's hard when girls ask so many damn questions. Why do you do this, why do you have that, why did you say that lol.

Thanks man. I feel ya. I love Texas. Grew up there myself, partially. Austin is seriously plagued, too. Probably worse than htown. I'm undergoing a bit of culture shock, but it also seems to work in my advantage to an extent. I've definitely had some girls check out and comment on my boots.

Well sometimes I still wanna hit it. So, for example with the exact girl I mentioned, I told her we could just go to her house, and we did. I left my carry piece in my pickup. It's always the right decision to avoid bringing a carry piece to someone else's property when they don't allow it. That's clear when you get your license. Not trying to completely ditch a girl because she doesn't like guns, I'd rather teach them to respect then and actually defend themselves.

Not sure where you got that from, but I don't really do that. I'm just talking about a few incidents. I'm brand new to city life and city culture, so I just came here for advice. I have property insurance, so if I get jacked I'll just replace them. No different than if I had a couple nice watches or anything else.

I'm in an apartment so I can't install a gun safe, so I keep most of them under the bed for the sake of being tidy. My ccw is either on me or by my keys, and the shotgun sits in the corner behind the door. It's very popular to leave a shotgun by the door, so I'm not sure what the deal is.

It's crazy. I grew up around traditional, pro choice, pro family, anti feminist women who are tougher and more badass than half the guys I know in the city.

Can't go wrong with a 9mm glock 19. I carry the 26 which is a shorter version during the winter and a .38 j frame during the summer. I'm only 5'7 so I have a hard time concealing anything bigger, but if I was a bigger guy I'd carry a 19.

That's a damn good point. It will definitely weed out the sjws. Although, after being in a relationship for a year with a southern chick, it's really fun to engage the ultra liberals. They get worked up about everything. I told a girl just a few days ago that I don't support gay marriage (she asked) and she lost her shit. I wouldn't have bothered hooking up with her anyways, but it was hilarious watching her reaction.

What about ccw? Any ideas on that? I do keep my rifles and a .45 in their cases under the bed, but I'd rather keep my shotgun handy. I also plan to order some bean bag or riot rounds since there's so many people everywhere in an apartment complex.

Since when is it weird to have an shotgun in the corner? Some of these hippy chicks are not under the assumption that guys typically have guns. I'm sure it's partly just showboating, but I'm not interested in hiding my guns every time theres a possibility of a girl coming into my place. I just need some good talking points on how to make them quit wigging out. I do think I want to try and take forks to the range for sure. I haven't found one in town yet, but I'm sure there's a gun club.

Yeah girls are flakey, I'd just rather be able to quell their misconceptions instead of giving them a reason to flake.

Sorry but I can't agree with that. It's perfectly reasonable to have concerns about a firearm if she is legitimately afraid of them. Same could go for drugs, which many Christian girls will not be tolerate being around, especially if it's someone they just met.

Any idea on how to differentiate between legitimate concern and a shit test?

Jesus, right? I'm probably the only guy that dips in my apartment building. I realize it's unhealthy, but even grown men have said "ugh tats gross" like a little girl would say. I'm also a redneck, so I can freely associate Copenhagen with manhood.

Well, I mean I've only been here a while and I'm not looking for a girlfriend immediately. I honestly don't think there are any conservative girls around. But, the girls in this area are not prudes at all - just wacko. I'm thinking about getting on tinder to find some girls outside the city that I would get along better with.

I feel the same way. It's completely normal to me. It's weird to see someone flip out. The folks that I work with are generally normal, but my neighborhood has some real hippies. I think it actually may be leftover moral posturing from the election, truth be told.

I genuinely do think they're weird. They get pissed if you laugh at them, which I think is even funnier. It does get obnoxious if they are completely irrational though. This area is a liberal cesspool with gays and lots of mixed race couples. I've even been made fun of for drinking Bush light lmao. I think my accent actually gives me an advantage with the girls.

Well yeah, no point in walking around telling people, but I'm also not going to keep my holster on while I'm just sitting on the couch at home. You also have to take it off before going into some restaurants.

I don't really care if it bothers people, but I'd like to know some good zingers to use when chicks flip out. Not every single one does, of course, and a few girls I work with have even hunted before. It's more of the "omg why do you have a fucking gun!" situation I'm asking about.

It's been mixed results, honestly. I've only been here two months. First girl I had in my apartment said she would leave if I didn't hide the 870 Remington I have sitting in the corner. It's not even tactical.... Just a wood stock classic shotgun. Same girl, next time she was over, got a little drunk and wanted Instagram pictures holding my AR, so that was cool. But when she found out I carry on my person and in my vehicle, she asked me not to do it around her. I refused. Coming from the south, …
