Holy moly, the solipsism! It's painful!

That's harsh. I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm curious though, were you talking to them about RPW even though you knew they were SJWs?

You have an important resource that you aren't utilizing: Your boyfriend! In your own words he is "amazing," so ask him to teach you! Most men love to instruct.

I plan to mostly lead by example. In fact, finding out that I was going to be a mother was the catalyst that led me to study self improvement. I decided quickly that I need to become the type of woman I want my daughters to be and my sons to marry. Modeling a healthy marriage will also be very important, I think.

The image of spooking runners with aggressive unsolicited friendship made me laugh! I think I'll be giggling when I see a jogger tomorrow.

I've been pleasantly surprised to see so many ladies mention the FAM in their comments! I am not alone!

When I went off hormonal birth control I thought I would go back to it after I had a child. However I couldn't ignore how much better I felt without the pill (mood, acne, libido, lube production, even energy) and the more research I did the less hormonal birth control appealed to me. This was further complicated by my husband's absolute dismissal of condoms as an option. I used FAM (that's the fertility awareness method you've heard mentioned in a few comments already) for about 9 months while I…

It does lack the depth one usually associated with a full post, I'll agree with you there. However I feel like I see so few IRL examples of RPW behavior (especially on the big screen) that this struck me as a good example.

The position of the cervix also depends on where she is in her monthly cycle. During peak fertility the cervix is much higher than usual.

"In the Victorian era, it was scandalous to work as an actress or to attend the theatre." Fun fact: The Victorian equivalent of "that's what she said" was "said the actress to the bishop," implying that the actress was admitting her carnal sins during confession. Haha, so I guess that's a period example of a double entendre for young ladies to not-hear.

I also detest the night life and the equally detestable behavior it seems to draw out of people. It sounds like you limit your exposure that sort of atmosphere. Going only when you have an important social obligation (like your sister's birthday) and having a plan (and yours sounds pretty solid) may be the best you can do. I'm curious though, does your sister understand why you were suddenly agitated when you gave her back her beer, or was she able to brush it off/didn't notice?

Red pill thought is centered around the evolved, differing mating strategies of males and females. Female marrying strategy is twofold: Find a male who can provide for future offspring, and find a male with the best possible genetics in order to create the strongest, healthiest offspring. Noticing the common denominator there? Offspring. Bearing children is a biological imperative, that's why you can't get it out of your head. As for the question of "selfishness," well, that's all just personal …

Something you said stuck out to me. You said that in your mind you're only trying to help. That's almost a direct quote from "The Surrendered Wife" where the author describes the way she rationalized being controlling. It also sounds like you're aware of your desire for control though, so well done there. However, if you're feeling controlling of your SO regarding the finances, that's probably a sign that you need to surrender that. You don't have to feel resentful, but you are choosing to.

And let's not forget the role of the American Eugenics Movement. It was all the rage in the early 20th century, and Margaret Sanger used that movement to further her own cause. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/pill/peopleevents/e_eugenics.html

You know, this post helps me understand the concept of "the hamster" a little better. I had thought it meant over-thinking, but now it sounds like it specifically means a train of thought that starts small and then snowballs into something overwhelming and uncontrollable. Does that sound right, or am I still missing part of it?

Absolutely! The first time I noticed it was some kind of board game commercial where the men were left alone in a room together while the women went to gossip in the kitchen or whatever, and the men started playing with the party favors (you know, those noise makers that unroll when you blow in them?), sticking them in their noses and ears and such. Then the women suddenly return while the man are goofing off and looking very silly, and both groups fall silent and stare at one another. Then the …

There's an audiobook that I've been listening to recently that's all about habit forming and how to actually stick to the changes you want to make. It's called "Better Than Before" by Gretchen RubIn. I highly recommend it. I think Amazon has it in paperback and kindle too.

I read a book recently that dealt with that very subject! It's called "In Sheep's Clothing: Understanding And Dealing With Manipulative People." It was immensely helpful to me.

I've looked for videos like these, but I think I like this one best. So many of the other ones were using baby dolls instead of a real baby.

I have the big one. It's no bigger than my tablet, and it gives me more space to journal. I'm so much more productive with this planet than with any other I've ever used. However, I am a SAHM right now, so my planner doesn't have to be very portable. Granted, it does fit well in the diaper bag or any largeish tote easily enough, but if you need something that you can slip into a smaller handbag and carry with you then you may wish to consider something smaller.

I tried calorie counting for years; caloriecount.about.com, pen and paper journaling, and even apps like MFP. There are a few reasons I don't use them anymore. The biggest reason is that I'm a real foodie now. That means I believe in the traditional preparation of whole, unprocessed foods which makes entering calories tedious and, often, inaccurate. I tired quickly of having to either look up the nutritional information on another site to enter it manually or just pick a food that was "close eno…

I do my best to take a walk with the baby everyday if possible, but at least several days each week. I don't have a stroller, but I wear her in a carrier on my chest or back, which I see as added benefit. Also, audible is great. Kindle also lets you add the audible audio onto your eBook for a discounted price, since they're both owned by Amazon.

Oh, yes diet is supremely important. My food is typically very unprocessed, as I am a fervent real/traditional foodie, and thus have higher standards than most as to what constitutes processed food. However, no matter how clean my diet is I keep sabotaging myself by eating too much food far too quickly. Last week I started using my Evernote app to keep a wellness journal. I record my meals and include a photograph of the portion size. I also record my fluid intake, supplements, physical activity…

We have been married for 6 years, and we were together for 7 years before that. He only found TRP a few months ago, and he finds the concept of conflicting gender based reproduction strategies to be logical and interesting, but he's not trying to go full alpha (thank goodness). He's mostly interested in learning alpha charisma and using it to advance his career. Truthfully he's getting frustrated with how anti-LTR TRP is. I keep sending him interesting posts from RPW and he's joked about switchi…

Hello! I've been lurking on RPW for about a month now, in fact I signed up for reddit because of RPW. My husband has been reading TRP for a few months now, and he recommended me to this subreddit. You see, for some time now I've had a goal for myself; to become elegant, and not just outwardly stylish but also having a genuinely warm, gracious, and winning personality. Imagine my surprise and delight to find that RPW is right along those lines!

Thank you for your in depth answer and for the links you provided! I will have to keep in mind that 80% generalization; I can see how it would be very easy to fall into the trap of judging by personal experiences and thus missing the point or, worse, getting butthurt.

Sorry, I've been learning about Red Pill for less than 3 days at this point. Could you tell me what those abbreviations mean? Good point about self improvement for men vs. women, that is in line with what I've read so far. You mentioned in other comments that the red flag comes out specifically for women traveling solo or with a group of girl friends, so here's a hypothetical; she has traveled for business or taken part in family vacations abroad. Still red flagged?
/r/RedPillWomen10/10/15 05:26 AM

Heh, you seem to be under the impression that I am a single girl trying to to argue against your perspective due to some moral outrage that your generalization doesn't apply to my own personal experiences. This is not the case. Rest assured that this is a genuine question. I am new to this and I am trying to learn TRP philosophy. It is difficult to learn much when my questions are answered so shortly and with the assumption that I should already understand. Keeping that in mind, would you please…

Don't just say it isn't TRP thought, wingnut, explain it to me. I am very new to this and I am trying to learn and understand.

I saw that string of comments too, and I spent a few hours puzzling over it, mostly because one of the major tenets of TRP, as I understand it, is prioritizing one's self improvement. If a woman is able to edify herself; broaden her worldview, make herself more interesting or cultured or sophisticated through travel then that is in line with TRP. However, I will concede that travel, specifically solo or with only other women could be a red flag if there are other red flags present (barfly, clubb…

Well, winterisforhome, it definitely sounds like we're of the same opinion. Although, after consulting with my husband (who is the one who introduced me to TRP) I can accept that travel can be a potential red flag. For example a woman who is will traveled may not be a slut, but if she is a barfly, hangs out with groups of men, lies to her SO about where she's going, and is well traveled then she is probably a slut. This sounds more logical to me and much more in line with TRP philosophy.

I'm very new to RPW and am still learning the Red Pill philosophy, but this "traveling is a slut tell" concept sounds out of line with what I have learned so far. My understanding is that, to become a red pill woman you must prioritize self improvement/enrichment. If that is true, why is it a bad thing if a woman enjoys traveling and experiencing other cultures and expanding her worldview?
