Stay strong in the face of her attempts to "reconcile" - if she does this, it's only because the logistics of her mate-switching haven't solidified yet. If they had, she'd be the one serving you, and if you yield, you're delaying the inevitable and ensuring that it will be on much worse terms.

She's most likely entitled to stay in the marital home, but this mentality is based. I really wish my ex-wife had been practicing her human vacuum skills on some thick ones - would have made everything so much more expeditious and easier. Not all divorcees are bangable sluts, unfortunately.

She isn't "yours," it was just your turn - my relatives who didn't "die alone" weren't conscious enough to appreciate that fact (not that you'd care for very long), being insensate either from drugs or brain injury

It's all your fault, I'm sure. You weren't dutiful, self-sacrificing, or healthy & high-status enough, or something.

I'm talking about relationship termination-minded adultery here, not casual sex. Pretty sure adultery rates are similar now between the genders

Potentially unpopular opinion here, but I don't think women are different from men in this regard psychologically. It's just that with hypergamy, women are much more likely to be in a marriage where they obtain unequal economic benefits from their husbands - encouraging branch-swinging behavior where they move on while maintaining the facade of a relationship to secure the provisioning. I'd bet that men in the rare situation of being in an economically hypergamous relationship with the wife beha…

Fat middle-aged men look more like fat young men naked than is the case for women. That's all I'm saying - hence "controlling for lifestyle"
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/24 06:19 PM
2

Stop projecting - "man-hunting" behavior is very common and it is what it is. Your tendency to moralize, insult, and blame OP for everything is typical misandrist garbage. My ex-wife became an unfuckable fat slob during our marriage; my sexual rejection of her became a crucial reason for her leaving. I wish she had "glown up" and moved on to the next sucker so that the divorce could have been finalized sooner on better terms for me.
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/24 06:14 PM
2

But it was too late. The signed decree is binding. Really? Please talk to a competent attorney and don't take her word for it. You're alleging fraud here - that should be material
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/24 06:44 AM
11

Walk away if you're unhappy - she certainly will. It's best to do it on your terms and at your convenience, rather than hers. Don't let toxic masculinity ("As a man, I'm obligated to self-sacrifice and duty") compel you to stay in an unhappy marriage.

If noticing the effects of aging on someone's body affects the level of respect that you extend to him or her, then you certainly shouldn't be in a caring profession; that definitely doesn't pertain to me - unsolicited accusations are always narcissistic confessions
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/24 06:14 AM
1

Medical staff notice the obvious - even prolefeed propaganda suckers would be quite upset if we didn't. 50 YO men look much more similar to 20 YO men (controlling for lifestyle) than 50 YO women do to 20 YO women. It is what it is, but you certainly don't have to like it. Internal cardiovascular health is where women definitely have an edge in aging
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/24 06:10 AM
-1

It definitely isn't bullshit - age isn't good for anyone in and of itself, but it's definitely much worse for women from an SMV perspective. Having seen lots of middle-aged and older naked people in medicine, I've definitely noticed that it's (superficially) physically more detrimental for women as well due to menopause and an intrinsically higher body fat %.
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/24 06:04 AM
-2

No, do it for yourself. She isn't doing it for herself; she's trying to sink her claws into the next sucker by upgrading her SMV - trading up and sticking the landing isn't as easy as she thinks. Maybe if she wasn't a single mother then she'd get the life to which she no doubt feels entitled, but that's a huge marriage market liability.
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/24 06:01 AM
4

She's in "man-hunter" mode to secure more provisioning, and she'll let herself go again once that's accomplished. Please focus on "glowing up" yourself permanently - regardless of your circumstances. I need to work on this myself
/r/Divorce_Men26/07/24 05:59 AM
21

Definitely wait until after the divorce is finalized to risk making her poorer - if you succeed in nuking her job now (probably unlikely, women are rarely held accountable for anything) then, depending on your jurisdiction, you'll only "succeed" in paying more alimony to her

This is pretty common - escalate hostility & use the reaction as an excuse and justification for divorce
/r/Divorce_Men17/05/24 01:52 AM

Lawyer up & file now - please. She could change her mind & decide to sabotage the process after her lover decides he doesn't want to commit to a dependapotamus single mother. "Affair fog" is crucial for a good settlement. Her "happiness" is your weapon - I wish my ex had been getting railed; would have made everything so much easier
/r/Divorce_Men17/05/24 01:40 AM
2

Get it done & lawyer up ASAP - you don't meed to deal with more onerous alimomy calculations or being hit with "presumptive fatherhood" status for the baby of whatever lover evidently pumped & dumped her
/r/Divorce_Men02/05/24 10:59 PM

If you want to leave then leave - don't let toxic masculine self-sacrifice and "burden of performance" immiserate you. I wish I had divorced my ex sooner; you won't even take a financial hit

If my wife went on a "girls' trip" I'd treat that as her moving out. Simply unacceptable
/r/Divorce_Men27/04/24 04:27 AM

i am pretty sure she is sharing a narrative of me being an aggressive controlling husband That's the only accusation? Fairly mild. They all plead victimhood to justify their recreance; my ex's claims were way worse. You really just can't worry about it
/r/Divorce_Men26/04/24 11:39 AM
3

She's pissed that her doormat & ATM decided to roll up & stop paying up - it's good that she's invested in provoking you; it means that you're successfully pursuing your own self-interest here. My ex was similarly vindictive when I started asserting myself

/r/Divorce_Men25/04/24 02:34 AM

Honestly you should be thankful - this has probably been occurring for a while and contributed to your great divorce; I wish my ex (pretty unfuckable when we separated) would enter "man-hunter" mode, get fit, and start a torrid affair so that she'd get some incentive to get this damned uncontested divorce finished & let me legally move on

What's your denominational background? How much do your clergy pedestalize women and denigrate men? In my experience, conservative Christians are much worse than liberals in this regard.

Are women in their 40's really that attractive still? Maybe at intermediate ranges or in "mood" lighting, but close up in daylight the wrinkles are a huge turnoff for me; the age smacks me in the face
/r/TheRedPill22/02/24 02:56 PM
10

Criticism of women in general is highly stigmatized in society - even "conservative" Christians can only criticize divorce if they pretend that men always initiate it

Knowing that you're disposable, expendable, replaceable, and that no woman will ever truly love you for who you really are is difficult to accept. As soon as you get sick, injured, or rivaled it's all over. I'll never love myself or anyone else ever again.

Please do stop drinking. For reference - 3500 calories = 1 lb of body fat. You'd have to reduce food intake to 500 calories less than your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) to lose 1 lb per week, which is usually considered the upper limit of sustainable and healthy weight loss. You'll probably lose fitness keeping your body in such a catabolic state for so long, too

That's an accurate depiction of how women typically think, and how I'll think if I ever get married again; "toxic masculinity" does exist in fact, and hesitating to end an awful marriage for fear of being a "deadbeat" is an all too common example

No - I didn't even have one where that would have been an option. My marriage occurred in a conservative religious community, but even if it hadn't strippers etc are out of the question for me personally. The one time I went to a strip club provided enough disgust for a lifetime

the less attention you give to a woman the more they want to be with you Women definitely like being mistreated UP TO A POINT - outright abuse/neglect will likely drive them to leave. Not caring enough to be domineering with my wannabe "tradwife" was a major factor in her leaving; she didn't want a permissive, complaisant male feminist who didn’t mind that she doesn't dress like enough of a frump in public anymore

True, but typically the adulteress isn't an "upgrade" for the other man, especiallyif he's already married with children; he gets a vote too, and typically the decisive one
/r/Divorce_Men28/11/23 12:14 AM
2

Nice and worthy dream, but remember that the enemy gets a vote too - and that life isn't a "karmic" morality play. Living like a monk & literally worshipping before her portrait won't influence her into returning. Just the opposite, in fact
/r/Divorce_Men28/11/23 12:08 AM
2

No, it's necessary for your own welfare & self-respect, especially if there's adultery. Just plan ahead and do it before she does - if that affair has even a remote probability of success then, believe you me, she'll drop you
/r/Divorce_Men28/11/23 12:04 AM

Losing the access to the cuck's logistics must be quite the letdown for the AP - less fun and more work most likely. He probably won't reciprocate her desire to cramp his style by "trading up" and trying to foist the beta betabux responsibilities onto him

Being able to acknowledge your own culpability is a very good sign - you have both insight & honesty. Your situation is rather atypical here, but striving to salvage your marriage may be a good idea. I haven't heard of any - the sad, brutal fact of the matter is that trying to reconcile is self-defeating because it makes you seem weak & despicable in her, or any woman's, eyes. You need to just move on

Of course sir but please do keep in mind that there is still some chance that the marriage will be durable, but the odds are significantly worse than average.

Assert your own rights & interests here - poor people think litigation is a means for the rich to bully the poor, but it's really the opposite. Her "rich uncle" didn't become so by being a wastrel doormat to hysterical women; she's telling you about him to try and manipulate you into becoming just that. It's simply a negotiating bluff - don't fall for it and lawyer up instead

These are all omens of relationship instability, I assure you. I'm confident, having grown up in the town where the Atlantic fleet is stationed and knowing many naval enlisted men and barracks hags, that this will not be an enduring state of affairs
