I'm here for this! I'm going to live my best life whether I find someone or not. There's so much more to life than a romantic relationship. You can have a fulfilling life with good friends, involvement in your community, hobbies, etc.

YES! I've come to the same conclusion and I honestly believe that it has made me happier and more grounded within myself. It's liberating! Welcome to FDS and living your best life 💕!

They see themselves as "different". It's comical really. One minute they trash us and the next they're wanting us to be on the frontlines marching for them the minute they experience racism. They'll spout how we should "think about our fathers and sons" but they never think about their mothers and daughters when they applaud and even participate in the disrespect of black women. Their allegiance to their manhood will always be stronger than to the color of their skin. I'm glad more of us are wak…

Haven't they ever heard of "happy wife, happy life"? This saying must exist for a reason 😂

Exactly. He knows he ain't shit and that's why any woman of worth would find herself mad at him. It's not "angry black women". It's him being salty that he's held to a standard.

Be nice if they could just date who they want, leave us alone, and keep our name out their mouths. Like damn, obsessed much? They put in a lot of work to trash women who they claim to hate. Me thinks there's some other feelings involved (i.e. Projection and inadequacy) but what do I know 🤷🏾‍♀️🙄

Even if you get them to change their tune on commitment by cutting them off, he should still be blocked and permanently placed in a no-date bucket. He showed his true feelings the first time and he fucked up his chance. Let him go and focus on someone who will get it right the first time. Noone should be an afterthought.

Yup, he knows exactly what he's doing. Don't ever give them the benefit that they may be naively/unconsciously leading you on. They know.

This. I'm sorry but he's just using you as a warm body. I wouldn't even bother talking to him (personally). I feel like his actions have already proven that he doesn't value you enough to have a solid relationship with you. And even if he did, he'd still probably make you a forever girlfriend since he knows that he's got you. It may be hard leaving, but you deserve better sis 💕. Would you want a younger sister or your daughter to be caught up in a situationship like this?

Yup. They leave you wondering what you did wrong to make them change and they make you feel crazy if you speak on it. It's toxic af.

Yeah, it's sad. On one hand, I get that my mom's view comes from how she was raised but on the other hand, she still refuses to grow and see how damaging her views are. Especially since she has 2 daughters. My mom still thinks that a woman should never be president 🤦🏾‍♀️.

Ditto (although I'm not close to mine since she's toxic and more than likely a narcissist). She spent her life bending over backwards for low value men and being catty with other women (only had 1 "girlfriend" who she never gave good advice to and literally kept quiet when she found out that her friend's husband was cheating...). That internalized misogyny unfortunately rubbed off on my mother and aunts who are very similar in regards to never really forming any close bonds with other women. It'…

I liked this tweet until they brought up other women. We should be lifting each other up ladies, not competing. Instead of being a woman other women "can't mess with" be the woman who inspires other women to live their best lives.

This is revolting 🤢🤮. I almost downvoted before I checked and realized that this is someone else's profile. I hope no woman falls prey to him. I guarantee he's controlling and abusive which is why he set his age to younger women who may not know any better/not have enough self-esteem to see through his bullshit.

Oof, I swear it's always the nice guys! I honestly find them to be more worrisome than aggressive types because they're so manipulative and passive aggressive.

Quickly coming to this realization. I have a mixed friend group and at first I was really pleased at how non-scummy the guys in our group were (or so it seemed). But... Overtime, I've realized that they're all still trying to shoot their shot with their female "friends". There's one guy in particular who I've decided to distance myself from because he has increasingly been trying to get too familiar. I've also caught him staring at me and it's just really off putting. Another guy in the group on…

Seriously! I see this often, women will be dolled up and the men are in basketball shorts, old t-shirts with holes and sneakers (I've been guilty of dating guys like this too in the past 🤦🏾‍♀️). I also have become increasingly aware of body language between couples irl and in pictures. You can tell ALOT about a guy's true feelings about who he's with depending on if he walks in front/behind, if he distances himself from her around other women, and in pictures if the girl is hugging all over him/…

This is a hard pill to swallow. I actually just made a post yesterday then deleted it, and it was about a friend of mine who is a pickmeisha. I've known her for years and she's been there for me and is otherwise a great person, but our dating lives are becoming night and day. Lately I've been trying to give her advice on dating and every single time she tells me about the guys she's interested in they either have kids, touch her and try to use her for their casual entertainment, work dead end jo…

They're hoping for a quick and easy target that won't take the time to vet them and who doesn't have any self confidence. There's no way they can sustain any of that behavior with anyone of high value.

It's hard for me to watch any media real or fake without noticing how low value the men are. It's like this sub represents those glasses in the movie 'They Live' and y'all have made me see men for who they really are 😂

He used to only invite me out with him and his family around special events. Birthdays, holidays, concerts, around friends etc. But rarely took me out one on one when I wanted to hang out. We broke up and I gave him another chance years later and in hindsight I realize how manipulative he was/is. When we first started dating and in the early stages of when I gave him a second chance, I realized that he would "love bomb" me by pulling out all the stops, buying me things, giving me extra attention…

INeverSaidIWantedARelationship: Yeah I look good in person and on paper, and while I appear to be nice, I'm really just testing your boundaries. Did I mention how much I respect you? You see, I'll never explicitly say the wrong things to scare you off and I'll do just enough to keep you guessing on whether or not there's a chance for exclusivity. I may seem genuinely interested by texting you occasionally and throwing you a bone here and there, but if you read in-between the lines and really lis…
