I had my pup only three days a week and it fucking kills me. I wish I had more time I could dedicate. I’m working three jobs right now to stay afloat. I would love 100% time of my kid if I could ever swing in. What worse is the other parent in the equation expects the world of me, and constantly paints me as the bad parent. It’s a sucky life, but, I make the best of it when my kiddo is around. She’s one of the only reasons I get up and fight every day

Fuck you <3 Thank you for that reality check. I genuinely needed that. You are 100% right. Thank youyyu

Our divorce was simple, and honestly more a hack job than anything. I own the house, but our divorce did not stipulate the need to remove her from the mortgage, however, the decree does state any proceeds in the event of the sale are for me alone lol. You are 100% correct. My emotions are playing into it, as the fil cant work, and brother in law is a waste of precious space I’d be more worried about their inability to house themselves. Destitute is a wonderful adjective Id use to describe them, …

This is the answer I’m looking for honestly.z my ex wife is still in the mortgage so by foreclosing or short selling, she’s going to take a hit which is part of the concern The property is just financially and mentally draining. But at this point inguess I really just need to look out for my own skin. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to respond <3

Truthfully it was out of convenience for them. My ex wife and I bought the house for her family and ourselves since they are horrible with money, and needed a place to stay while their own house foreclosed. At this point there is no acceptable reason other than they can’t fend for themselves

We’ll have to see. It appears she contacted someone and her attitude changed immensely. As they say in my line of work “let it ride” <3

We did get in touch with our own attorney and she’s stating if this was even a remote possibility someone took her case, it’d be years of paperwork in order to get to a hearing. I keep reading that if it doesn’t interfere with the parents relationship with the child, it can be entertained. My child has a ton of behaviors and by the limited interaction since my ex wife and is separation, it makes her act out upon seeing this woman. I gather that would be in violation of said stipulation

Sorry I didn’t get a chance to respond to you. I agree and I’m definitely trying to the parent app for both of us to be held accountable. Great advice! I’m trying and definitely trying the “you don’t bother me” behavior <3<3

It sounds it. It sounds rough, but I’m glad you got through it!! Absolutely ridiculous the mindset of some of them. I’m glad you got to a semi amicable solution for her to gtfo

Bahahaha. That made my day. Kid is mine. We adopted her lmfao

I’m hoping so. Routine much more so on my end than hers. She moved out with her boyfriend she had a relationship with for three years prior to even hinting that there was an issue in our relationship. I had my suspicions but kept on keeping on for my kid. Got me a whole lot of bubkiss. And potentially yes…I’d imagine as it’s the one item she has above my head, she screwed me for years with taking in her family to care for them, and then abandoning me to deal with it lol

Oof. Sorry to hear about your predicament. That sounds frustrating on a miltitude of levels. I’m glad that you have a great relationship with your kids and did what you had to do <3 That’s inspiring, and Ill be sure to remain as brave as yourself <3

Thank you for the kind words mate <3. Absolutely. Trying to keep as much documentation as I can. As weird as this sounds my job is related to account retention so I’m all well too versed in analyzing all sides and making a case for both sides, I’m trying to remain objective and just do what’s right. But she makes it so entirely hard. But you’re right. Gotta focus on being the best dad I can regardless of circumstances. Thanks for the heads up on therapy. Once I have my insurance again coming up …

Absolutely. I agree 100%. I’m fine with our existing agreement based on both of work schedules, but it feels so…asinine for her to fight over items already established. Thank you again for the kind words. I’m just…my brain just can’t stop ocerthinking

Thanks for responding! Honestly. Everything is just a waiting game right now. Docs are already drafted signed and notarized. More or less my ex spouse has my kid during the week for school. I get weekends. We must be able to maintain reasonable contact with the child at Al times by phone FaceTime ect. She just threatened to remove it, and while i realize that can’t happen until we refill a new motion to modify the agreement. It doesn’t make it any less heartbreaking. It’s almost as if she is act…

Thanks for responding mate. We had have some family conflicts with who is able to see my kiddo and who isn’t. As a result, her immediate response is to remove my time from my kid. Or threatening it I should say. I have her weekends due to her work schedule, but once my kid is old enough to decide who she wants to stay with I want to explore this option. It’s a constant battle with the ex spouse with my kid. Always an argument. And it’s taking a terrible toll on my mind

I don’t know how you guys do this. My divorce is almost finalized, but my ex keeps threatening to change the custody agreement. And it tears me apart. When does being a single dad and/or dealing with the ex spouse get easier. Im at my wits end.

Going through this now. Not having my daughter is killing me on the inside. But these other answers are right. It’s a transition period. It’s not the end of the world. It’s tough, try to spoilt you for the day if you can. And focus on tomorrow. Everything will back into place for your life eventually. Stay strong <3

Oh man. I am so sorry to hear that. That is absolutely awful. I hope you are doing better now though. I hear you. She was under the impression I’d continue to support her regardless, and now that that isn’t happening, she is panicking. I’m just. Done. We were married for 11 years, and she never paid attention to our kid until now. And now she wants to be super mom. I wish her peace but unless it’s for my kid. She’s dead to me now.

Sending much love. Thank you for the kind words. I’m really trying, and I’m trying to remain objective to make sure that my child and I are the only focus I have at this time. It’s just tough. She messed my life up pretty bad leaving so suddenly, but I will just have to chin up and keep changing along <3

Good to know. I appreciate the information. Honestly the only asset we really have is the house that she currently is requesting to be removed of. I appreciate the honesty. I’m not 100% sure no fault divorce works in pa where I’m from but I know we were electing to not present in court. We wanted to file and just be done with it

The decree was written to specify that both parties are financially able to support the child with no child support being given to either party. In addition. It had written that alimony had been waived in addition to her interest in splitting property or debts. All in all she had it written to be done asap with the least impact on her. I do plan to have a lawyer review the documentation, however, I honestly don’t think she understands the position she’s putting herself in. And I plan to use that…

My thought exactly. Just looking for some reassurance. If you walked out the door, you took your life into your own hands. I do have a kiddo, but after she’s revised our divorce decree several times I believe I’m ready to sign. At this point. We’d split custody. No spousal or child support. I keep the house. She walks with her newest boy obsession. I appreciate the kind words. I’m having a war in my head because I do still care for her, but at arms length is as far as it should go at this point.

My ex and I had recently separated and I am currently in the process of moving my checks to my own account while giving her a timeframe to prepare. Now, it’s a shit storm because she can’t afford her decision to leave. Any advice on how to stand my ground?

Ouch. I’m trying to remain calm here. I’ve known we haven’t worked out for quite a few years now, but it’s just trying to go through the motions. If it was just us. It’s be so much easier to deal with but we have so much going on I can’t exactly just say fuck it I’m out. Really wish I could some days. Glad you’re doing well now. I would love to but I can’t afford it. My home not only houses us and my kid but her folks and other family. My ass is footing the bill for it. I would if I could. I’m my area. Honestly single wife’s are affordable. I’ve considered transitioning but I don’t want to leave her folks on the street. They can’t afford to support themselves unfortunately. I agree. That’s why I made the post. I’m going nuts in my brain right now and I feel like if I can give myself some kind of outlet. It’ll help at a …

She’s refusing to sign because it’s sufficient enough if I sign to her. She doesn’t actually want to do it. I love my. She’s excellent at her job and driven and an awesome mom. But she has no fucking clue and is lazy as the day is long. She’s not going to find another man or woman for that matter who’s going to put with her shit. That’s why I gather she is refusing to sign. All mind you by the way she wants to date... while married?... I’m alright. I’m supporting not only us but part of her fami…

I hear you. When the right time comes. They’ll reach out. No use in torturing yourself over something you have no control in. I have terrible control issues and I feel that’s going to be my biggest struggle with my pending divorce right now. Pm me at any time. Seriously if you ever need anything. Better days are on the way. And your kids love you, even if it will take years for them to see that. On a karmic note. Lololol. Karmas a bitch sometimes right?

I bet. But it’s made you stronger and now you know what you want. You don’t have to get married again. Get out there. Make some friends. Some more than friends and enjoy your life. I’m going through it now and she’s being incredibly uncooperative. So far as to say I can sign the divorce decree but then when it comes time for her to sign “ oh know that’s Alright. By you signing it confirms we’re done” I can’t stand games
