Hey everyone.
I’m looking for some general advice. I posted here quite some years ago regarding my divorce and the custody situation.
My intent is to take my child’s mother for an arranged custody agreement. I’d prefer full custody, however, I don’t feel as though I’d be able to swing full custody. But please anyone and everyone I’d love to hear advice, stories, or just a hey hello.
Long and short of it, married 10 years. Divorced 3. We adopted our child who is now 8. She’s not happy with her mother, and I’ve created some turbulence by dating a wonderful woman as of now.
Our divorce decree states custody on weekends for me, medical permissions, and a set payment for child support in the ballpark of $500. Also in said decree is a stipulation regarding a shared property. Her lawyer who drafted this advises as long as the mortgage remains current, property may exist. If becomes behind, it must be sold.
Said property held her family who left it in terrible condition, and as much as I’m trying to clean it up, it’s fruitless due to my work schedule.
All that being said, due me having a girlfriend, my ex wife is now threatening to call CYS due to the condition of the home, in addition to “taking it to court” over the ownership of the property. Weve been separated five years, and mortgage is current. I’m planning to sell the property at a loss to remove said stipulations and threats.
Currently, my child is being manipulated against me as “I’m not there for her”, but do take her in my assigned weekends and more as allowed. In addition to paying much above the child support agreement including expenses of hers.
My question is, should I go to family court to get this in writing, and a set schedule with a set amount. How fucked am I?
Additional details include documented cases of child neglect, induced psychosis, several suicide attempts, in addition abuse of medication from her mother.
The only item I’m currently worried about is the houses cleanliness but is working to either be rectified, or sold. How. Fucked. Am. I Reddit?
there doesn't seem to be anything here
