Been there done that. Truly even now where I don’t ‘feel’ as desirable as I used to, the experience of being single in college already gave me my fill so to speak. Looking to date more long term now since I’m done with school and trying to build a career. Maybe could entertain the idea of a thruple (3 people dating, don’t know the proper way to spell that), but even then I’m not seeking it.

Shows a lack of focus; you came to the gym to meet women, or build your body? Yes you CAN pull a number or run game, but you can at a bar, club, or anywhere else
/r/seduction04/03/24 05:18 PM

Understand that people have different love languages when giving versus receiving. You may enjoy giving a gift, but getting one doesn’t do much for you, for example.

The difference is you have to pass the looks test before you talk. Otherwise there’s little difference than meeting someone in person
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 05:40 AM

No big issue. If you want to get more attention from the opposite sex you have to be someone they want to be around.

You say if you ever met a woman like they’re some animal in the wild. That narrative is not true at all
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 05:37 AM

You don’t. Friendzone implies a very real lack of attraction, more so than simply unsure. At this point you’ll either be peacocking for her attention (never a good look) or continually asking for that type of relationship when she’s already given you a no (recipe for disaster). You need to go where your romantic feelings are celebrated, not tolerated.

There’s truth in it, but it’s dependent on situation. The point of the advice is that you have a better chance of connecting with women when you aren’t dead eye focused on it. That is to say, you should be doing more with your time than just chasing women. You will meet countless people you’re compatible with, but if you only focus on being around them, and none on yourself, you’ll hamstring yourself as you won’t really have any value to bring to the table. After all, you’d be seeking value, not…

What was the 2nd pill for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/24 08:12 AM

Yes, But in certain ways. It won’t make the girl who thinks you’re ugly suddenly find you to be the hottest guy in your city, but it can put you in new rooms (exclusivity), it can alleviate plenty of issues (spending on a date can happen without issue), and you can change your appearance with it (clothing, or plastic surgery). Different women will attract to different things; some will like the lifestyle of being rich, some will like the status, some will detest this altogether.

They do, and I think that’s an issue men’s rights groups don’t bring up enough; many men tie emotional intimacy to sexual intimacy, and that fucks men up.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 02:50 AM

So play with the man’s feelings knowing you don’t feel the same? That’s asking for a violent response at that point.

An indicator of what? Depression has multiple sources, and relationships aren’t always the root cause. There’s a correlation, but a weak one at that.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/22 05:40 PM

To an extent men already do have an in group bias, otherwise the idea of a wingman wouldn’t exist. But just like with women, it’s dependent on your standing with other men as to how you’ll be able to leverage it. Men will appreciate other men who do well with women as they can add to an overall social vibe. They help to add to the energy of an interaction. We don’t want somebody who is off putting, but good energy will amplify us.

The hell they are. I’m gonna speak to my age segment (20s) but for us we’re just entering the world of dating. Not to mention we have a world of resources compared to older generations (Reddit anyone?) We’re often coming in more prepared than any generation before us. But for all the issues and complexities of modern dating, men are in no way, as a collective group, trying to stop looking for relationships.

Been around the sub for a few years now, and I’ve had time to soak up some insights from trp. First, admitting to trp is not worth it. You’ll have to explain, and by extension justify, some of the weirder ideas, lingo, and community segments, and While familiar I’m uninterested in defending that. Telling people just makes that stand in for what should be your own unique identity. There are gems of knowledge you can get from the sub (trp vanguard being often the most helpful) but none of it is go…

Date for compatibility and not a goal. I think some people date because they want to ‘break the cycle’ or because that’s what they planned for themselves, but dating should be about figuring out what works for you, and learning how to love someone outside of yourself.

Fat men DO regularly pull up to the club (and do get interest from women too). To act like it’s solely virtue signally would be assuming the intent of women everywhere, and at that point it’s just generalizing the thoughts of others, and holds no merit.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/22 03:16 PM

Compatibility is more important than any of the above points. Attraction is subjective and out of your control (aside from taking care of your health), and the 80/20 rule doesn’t hold much in my experience.

This won’t go well depending on age. You may be able to get away with that at 19 or 20, but if you’re any older and don’t have your own place, you have misplaced priorities and they’ll pick up on it. I mean, if you have the money to take her out, but not enough to pay rent, there’s bigger concerns to think about.

Both no fault divorce and child support are for the welfare benefit. Specifically on divorce, you’re often asking a woman (considering people want to marry and have children) to give up professional career development to do so. Alimony comes into play to offset this, since after years of living with someone you can’t really start over. As for child support, that is to benefit the child. I will concede that many people do use child support for other than the children involved (not a lot of accoun…

This post is stupid. You aren’t paying for the choices of women, the nature of dating changed, and now everyone must adapt. Nobody set out to fleece men from their assets on an institutional level either. Women became self sufficient in a way that didn’t happen historically, and like anyone out for self interest, they took advantage of the new societal leverage.

Whether this be a quarterback on the field, an academically achieving student, a skilled carpenter, or whatever you find yourself to have an aptitude for, it is important to strive for excellence in whatever avenue you find yourself in. I wouldn’t. But I wouldn’t expect a masculinism movement to advocate for Women’s issues, that would miss the point altogether. To address your point of feminism only helping women, what do you think the point is then? Women historically never had the advantages/social prestige men did, and even today, women are at a disadvantage in careers, hence a lot of the affirmative action programs/policies to mitigate this issue. Finally onto your point of egalitarianism: I see your point as a semantic dif…

Early 20s man here. From my perspective, there’s overlap in men who hold that sentiment (that you need to be the top whatever percent of men to find a partner) and a poorly developed sense of social skills. There will be exceptions to the rule, but often I see them go hand in hand. Part of this is probably (speculating here) due to screen taking over the dating scene in ways that older generations didn’t have access to. Tinder, Bumble, etc. makes it easy to see the dating pool out there, but whe…

Not likely, but then again that type of man isn’t common either. Most men aren’t sanitation workers, and most women aren’t actively paying attention to who is collecting their garbage either. But that isn’t the point of the example.

That’s a valid observation, but while we can debate whether that’s a good thing in principle, in practice a man has to stand out in someone’s eyes in some way, and someone’s occupation is a way that can happen.

I think it depends on whose standards. With the inability on many women to live on their own, their were individual concession made by women in the past to find some stability. But with the ability to divorce and support themselves financially in the modern day to a much greater degree than in the past, women don’t have to make that sacrifice anymore. This isn’t a bad thing. Nobody should have that kind of leverage over someone’s life. But this change has made it more difficult for men to date a…

Alright if you have friends why are you asking us and not them. If they’re really your friends they can help you much more than this sub will likely be able to. I don’t say this to be condescending but often TRP will make accurate observations but is often wrong in analyzing the why. It’s better to seek advice from friends who will actually see your behavior in person and can tell you what is and isn’t working.

Ok hard disagree on this one. People didn’t become any more or less fickle compared to days of old; women can be pickier now because the penalties for not doing so have changed. Historically, women were barred from public life (legally or through social norms) which meant less ability to support themselves if they didn’t have family to help or weren’t married. Today, with women able to work, seek higher education, etc. Relationships have lost some of their appeal, as they don’t need a man to sup…

I get the point you’re getting at, but consider that these women possibly don’t have the words to describe what isn’t attractive to them. Just like many men on TRP some simply don’t understand the dating game for what it is; women can be led astray from what they’re looking for dating wise due to family expectations, societal norms, advice from friends (even if well meaning), etc. Be nice isn’t the bare minimum. Being attractive (whether through looks, attitude, etc.) is, as you stated.

I disagree. Confidence in an of itself is an attractive trait that can boost someone’s perception of you as a result, potentially boosting a man’s attractiveness. TRP is not a cause but a symptom of the changing dating culture in the west. Nowadays financial security and good sex cannot be the only thing you provide to a partner to be high status. People who understand this and that social skills are just as valuable as a career or nice house will thrive. Those who cannot adapt will see the family line stop
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/22 10:52 PM
6

Maybe not the majority but it’s hardly only the top tier of men. Many on TRP struggle with socializing with women (it’s why they’re there at all) and that shows in who posts. But men who don’t have this problem (and it’s not only the best men around) are far less likely to post

This idea is too simplistic to work universally or even as a rule of thumb. Personality could definitely be the deciding factor IN SOME SITUATIONS. But not all. Draw on past experiences but always be ready for unexpected or unexplained behavior and motivations

This is what made me rethink a lot of the conjecture on TRP. It always seemed that there was never any women who would co-sign or at least act as a point of comparison to all the proposed ‘whys’ for various behaviors. It’s the equivalent of asking white people why black people think a certain way about various topics.

Imma play devil’s advocate on this one. There are a lot of dudes (note not everyone, but certainly at the very least, a very vocal minority) who are truly interested in themselves only when it comes to sex. Yes, know your worth and don’t let the other person walk over you; end things if you aren’t getting what you want. Often however, you see dudes who, upon seeing that the potential for a relationship or sex goes out the window (friendzone), they stop being so friendly compared to before. Even …

any number of things. Sometimes the sex is bad, sometimes they regret (people cheating would be a prime example), some craved sex to fill a void and it didn’t do that. People are not a monolith. There’s a million reasons to regret sex.

While I wouldn’t go to the extremes of nobody finding obese people attractive (may be a minority but they do exist; wouldn’t be surprised if a blind person did for instance) the idea of understanding the overarching standards for what people like in a society is useful, especially to somebody with a poor understanding of what makes certain men excel in the dating scene.

What I gather from my time on TRP over the years is as follows. Not everybody benefits from the most general advice society gives (think “just be yourself”). Some need a more literal guide, some need to be validated for what they’re thinking, however right or wrong, some need more than what is the scope of TRP altogether. But what I see for most men who first find their way to the sub is that they’re dissatisfied but don’t know what to do to make the change. Their irl, or other digital searches …

Remember to be considerate of others. This means understanding what others are looking for and how that aligns with your desires. Many men who find themselves in TRP don’t know how so look to others to learn, but after hanging around for a few years, I can say that yes, I’ve learned from TRP but I do not hold it as gospel. Plenty of echo chamber nonsense, which is why most of vanguard will tell you themselves to trust no one. Be honest with yourself and be considerate of those you interact with.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/21 11:46 PM

True maybe in concept, but with many agreeing already it quickly can become an echo chamber (it was like then back in ‘17 when I first ran across). TRP is frequently more about the affect for many users than it is about the contents.

Men here should remember that their safety is usually of no concern in a day to day setting. Women don’t always live this same reality, and when the worst case scenario to saying no is the potential of violence, something I’d never really worry about from a date, I understand it’s prevalence.

I mean sure…. But as somebody with real life experience, while I do believe height is something used to discriminate against men who are short, it’s not the end all be all. If anything, going out of your way to get height extenders would only highlight the potential insecurity and nobody wants the insecure man.

The traits women are looking for tend to revolve around effort (hygiene, social skills, appearance), while the traits men are looking for often more inherent (attractiveness, to a lesser extent demeanor as that can be more easily changed). So men aren’t considering the women outside what they’re looking for, and the ones left have plenty to choose from; high bar. Women are usually not pursuing the same way men are so are getting qualities, and plenty try to shoot out of their league because the …

I see many people with so many examples of bad relationships, whether within their family/friends or online and are learning from it. Keep in mind people grow with time, and since relationships are no longer the end all be all that they used to be it makes sense that they are becoming less common/shorter, etc.

I will say this for those who want to take the advice: be ok with failure. Don’t get upset if she says no, don’t try to justify things in front of her. Take your L and keep going if she doesn’t reciprocate interest. Too many guys I’ve seen at clubs/bars/on the street that will lose it if someone won’t won’t give them the time of day. Working at it. Confidence stems from competency. You must strive to be great at what you do in order to be recognized. Once you do that you can climb the social ladder as others will look to you to improve as well. You don't necessarily need a title for it; there's a reason shadow kings exist. Make a point to become more competent than your peers, and people will either recognize your skill or your work ethic. To expand on the jeans section, Hollister has frequent sales. For thinner guys like my self, the skinny (not super skinny, that's too far for me) jeans will fit you like normal pants tend to fit larger men. A generation of splintered values will do that. People were more united, whether by religion, neighborhood, etc. This meant trust was much more easy to cultivate as compared to today. The foundation was there. Now, with helicopter parents, new wave of parenting styles, values changing, etc. people are much more wary of those they don't know, and the 24 hr news cycle does us no favors either. Thats the risk you take when you do so. No matter how good your intentions there may be some outside that wants to cast you in a bad light. True. I honestly have my doubts about the sexual attraction aspect, but I'm not there so I can't say for myself. This is the conclusion I can draw up with the evidence given. Not necessarily. It falls to the ability to say no. If you don't need someone else, then why worry about giving them special privileges, or leverage in your life? Honestly, most of the info still applies. The sub does have a focused slant on straight sexuality, but just like some concepts can carry over to work, with coworkers and bosses, so can it to homosexual relationships and flings. Dude hit up girl B and use it as leverage of A's character. Don't bullshit either with dating, but instead as someone to fuck instead. If she's interested, cool. If not, cool too. If A gives you shit, just take in stride. If B likes you, she'll see through A's disdain of you. If you're straight up, you may just luck out and A will help you. From there, aproach, isolate, close. Remember KISS

My observation skews young, but a lack of self confidence, and by extension insecurity about the relationship. Many women I see about college age don't particularly like aspects of themselves. That's fine and understandable. But instead of people encouraging improvement in these areas, you see a lot of the love your parables thrown around. "You just need to love yourself." That's a common one. They still have that lingering feeling present though, resulting in low self esteem, and either whoring…

I had the same problem growing up. I'd reccomend playing off your environment for conversation. Say you are at a bar, take a look at the people around, and find something noteworthy or amusing. You can sometimes point that out for a laugh, and create a kind of us vs them with the girl. Not a guarantee to work, but it can show a level of perceptiveness with you having to say it.

You don't. You improve yourself. TRP advice incoming... Think of the small things first. How you dress, physical fitness, etc. These things can be pinned down and improved upon. If you have excuses for why not, cast them aside and work at it anyway. Most guys don't need a 10 out of 10 to like you. You just need to be good enough. So improve yourself, so you're more than just a piece of ass for some guy to tap.

Not morally wrong, but it is rude. People tend to care about those that they go out with. If you don't like them, just keep it simple. You owe no explanation, but at least let them know before they worry about you.

You've got value. Find women who respond well to value you create for yourself. Aspring writer women will take interest in your writing, women interested in your money may take interest in hearing you make bank. Find women in those circles and work from there. But since you have value, you can afford to have a bit of standard too. So keep that in mind. To round out, lift, eat well, work hard, and maintain the frame you've built. Wish you well brother.

A decent response, but it could be better. In all fairness, this really isn't that big a deal. So what if you're a lil bitch to her. She's not fucking you anyways or otherwise contributing to your life, so what does her opinion matter. Also note this logic doesn't just apply to women. If someone is not helping you, their opinion means nothing.

My independence. This makes it super great for me to think and act on my own, but so much so that I tend to disregard what others want to do. I'll drive people out of my life and feel nothing in the way of guilt. Honestly I not even bothered that much by it, but I definitely don't see myself in an LTR any time soon.

I'm at a weird crossroads. I'm 18 for the record. High School Senior. Women in my home life, specifically my mother, want me to open up more. And when I've asked for help, they are plenty helpful. But at the same token. I rarely feel a need to consult anyone about my problems. I just go fix them. So this brings a "you don't ever talk to me" vibe from them. At school however, this is never a thing. Most women, well people really, are rather shallow in their compassion. Not really a problem in its…

Yep. Be consistent with how you treat them and your expectations. They'll want to know that you'll be there for them, Most kid problems will be small fare, but try to act like it matters. It will to them, once they mature out of it. They'll be stronger for, realizing how little those things matter.

Next those girls. That's the past. Since you're lacking confidence, it's time to fix that. Zero in on your insecurities. Body, game, style, etc. and work to improve. Set your goals. When you do that, you have something to be proud of, and the confidence will stick.

Definitely more at night. I'm a student, so during the day I'm focused on studying. I occasionally approach, but most times the pretext for sex simply isn't there. At night it's easy; go to a party, and plenty of people want to knock boots. Likely why they came in the first place. But during the day? No girl wants to be slut shamed, so a pretext must be there you to approach. Well not must, but it certainly makes life easier. So study session, lunch, etc. but no high guaruntee of sex in the next…

Most BP men are typical. 'Alpha' traits are rarely innate, they are nearly always learned behaviors. Take children for instance. Common for them to do things that their parents want them to do, bot because it's the right thing, but to avoid punishment. That's very blue pill. Compare to adults (hopefully) that do based on moral code. But with time, children learn social cues along with general knowledge (really it is general knowlege, but whatever). However, especially due to media consumption, n…

I agree with TheProphet: Display intent. You don't need to fake like some Casanova, but within a few minutes of meeting a girl, showing sexual interest in her, and being up front about it can do you wonders. Just remember context. Great idea at a bar, not so much at a funeral.

Some say act more standoffish, and to me that skirts around your overall goal. You want to take more time for yourself and improve yourself. Any skills you ever wanted to try to learn? Make that your new hobby for a while; or even some show you want to catch up on? Use that to set the pace for a night one the couch with your LTR; established dominance since your picking what's going on, yet is also fulfilling as it's something your really want to do. Up to you for what you want to do.

Well what do you want out of this? If she's a plate to you, tell her as such. If you want to push her up to FWB, then go for it. All depends on what you prefer.

Set goals for yourself. What do you want out of your life? There is no set answer for any man, your life, background, and past can determine your opportunities, but you play the hand you're dealt. Once you have goals (hopefully, personal health, career goals, etc.) are in place, read the sidebar to get a better footing on how to better achieve your goals. Be aware, that truths there can cross over to much more than the dating game.

It can be useful to a certain extent. Note that my point will be gender neutral. Nurturing people like to help others achieve their potential. Public school teachers are a perfect example of this. Many want to, not out personal gain, help others become better than they once were. This desire to help others self actualize can be used, either deceptively or maliciously or even without realizing. People like may see flaws in someones character, but it is just within their ability to change, so nurt…

Hmm. Just spitballing, so take with a grain of salt... You could try playing this to your advantage. If she wants to talk so bad, try ask to meet up. Maybe get something to eat, both of you paying your way, and use this to talk to her. Granted, this sounds like white knighting, but so long as you aren't just shitting on the other guy, you can simply use this as a fun way night. Somewhat, but most people can pick out who says what. Awareness isn't your issue. However cognitive dissonance can be problematic, so the less ammunition you give, the easier it is to reach more people. Nobody wants to feel shit on, even if they realize they are wrong. Besides, objectivity can give credibility. Plenty of lurkers value a voice that doesn't point fingers, and they always will outnumber the vocal minority of people who would never agree anyway.
/r/TheRedPill20/12/17 12:00 PM

Wording is key. I agree, but if not on TRP, tone down any talk of leftists and agenda. Objectivity can keep you from being muted, and that's enough to pull people to your side.
