I think it is because men have seen the feminist perspective because it is so widespread and have become socialized to take women's perspective into account. A big point of feminism is to decenter men, so they will dismiss their perspective quicker probably. I think on an certain level, this sub is probably the one that has the biggest possibility to have an impact on men's rights. Mensrights is too toxic and menslib is too sanitized. I think the main issue holding this sub back is that 'left wing male advocate' is the least catchy name for a social movement out there. You can not really stumble upon this subreddit because the name, from a marketing perspective, is way too long.

Seems that many feminists see themselves to be above pettiness like name-calling or shallowness. But many of the people shittalking Bovino don't focus on the fact that he lead a discount Gestapo but that he is short, truly insane. Never a word on the ICE agents around him that are usually much taller. Online debate has often not developed that much beyond middle school arguments.

Yeah, probably. Her whole schtick seems to be sticking it to the men. Looking through some more comments many of these women have been hurt by a partner in the past, from there the resentment probably. They all do the exact same shit that redpillers do, just take an example of a small group of men doing something bad and then assuming that every man does this like we are some collective hivemind. I think we are straying from your original point because this is going nowhere. Yes, I probably should have stated more clear that there exists something in between marxism and neoliberalism, I just gave marxist feminism as an obvious example in my original post and just assumed that it was obvious that I am not calling every feminist a conservative in disguise. I would consider many American Democrats to be feminist, but I wouldn't consider them to be progressive. Also it feels strange to define your movement as progressive just because conservatives oppose it. I would define progressive as someone who is willing to meaningfully change society to make it more equal. Many feminists are status quo warriors because many of them live very cushy lives. Those are not progressives in my opinion.

I don't know what it truly means to be feminist. My best guess is that it is trying to get to a more equal society through women's advocacy. By this definition, I don't consider myself a 'true feminist' as of right now. But let's say abortion rights get threatened, then I would advocate for that. So maybe I could consider myself feminist to a point? So I still don't know how you could or couldn't lose the status of being a feminist.

I am not that active in the 'true' feminist spaces so I don't know. All the algorithm pushes are milquetoast white feminism and Femaledatingstrategy ragebait so I should probably look into it more. I just don't like positive masculinity because it is just traditional masculinity filtered through a feminist lens, just a different kind of performance.

Whether or not it is the biggest deal in the world was also not my point. It is just that feminist talking points and conservative talking points are often quite similar. They could solve this issue by being an actual progressive instead of pretending to be one. Remember that the Democrats actively sabotaged Bernie Sanders in 2015, probably the biggest chance for an actual left-wing president the US had.

Yes, that is my point. If feminism was truly left wing, then it wouldn't try to make the forbes list gender equal but ask why we let these people control us so much. This is a bigger issue in representation in politics. People with non native names often get around 30% lower votes on average, at least where I live. Women are also underrepresented here, since these people define policy this could and should be seen as at least something to be looked at.

Women have so many options for expressing their feminist opinions that they don't need to visit these small communities. I guess that might be true in this possible future. While this might be positive for this movement, I don't know whether the total breakdown of our social fabric would make even the men that gain leverage happier. In the end, it might just feel like what it is, a simulation of love and not real love. I don't think AI love is the solution to our problems. I know it feels like an easy out, but it probably won't make you happy in the long term. It will probably remain easier for women to get sexual validation but we need to define ourselves beyond that. The first easy way to talk down to a man is to say that he can't get laid. He's a virgin in their eyes. It would long term be better to change this culture around the value of a man standing or falling with how often he gets laid.

What I meant is that you, as a man, could sign a contract that would basically forfeit your fatherhood. Whether it would be because of rape, or just a pregnancy that the man doesn't want to keep but the woman does. This contract would just basically ensure that the man can not be sued for child support. This does not prevent that a baby resultibg from rape is born, but it does ensure that the man has control over whether he will be a father or not.
