I once dated a college sweetheart who was all the things you describe. I dumped her after many years because something felt off. I’m a jerk, right? Well it turns out she later divorce raped a guy after a year and a half of marriage. He didn’t abuse her; he simply didn’t help enough around the house. She gave him a year of a dead bedroom and divorced him against his wishes. This was her side of the story, not his. He lost a ton in alimony. So it’s not clear to me that traditional relationships wo…

I actually think this kind of culture will develop and flourish much more quickly than sex dolls which are more limited in scope. A lot of people out there are tired of being normal; they just end up living out precanned lifestyles for decades and boring the fuck out of themselves. Strong yes.

For some reason this blew me away. Partly because he needs to switch to decaf. But I’ve always leaned left (whatever the hell that even means anymore), and I’ve made fun of the so-called “alt-right” before and this guy specifically. Meanwhile, I can’t think of the last time I’ve heard a well known public figure stick up for me that stubbornly. This was a big red pill for me.

I don’t tell anyone including family and friends. I do let people know I’m not looking if they try to set me up or ask me out, but I use approved language (focusing on my career, finding myself, etc).

The new alimony: wait for a dumpy millionaire to hit on you, go back to his room, laugh at his jokes, and throw back wine until his confidence is greater than or equal to his neurosis. Coupon good for 30 years.

Not really: “I don’t want to ruin our friendship,” “I don’t sleep with my friends,” etc. I mean women sometimes date these guys but not often. I didn’t even give a rats ass when my girlfriends went out with a friend zoned guy because it’s usually obvious when she doesn’t want him. Sure it’s disrespectful, but if I’ve already mentally checked out, I just don’t care. I did worry about a select few guys. But they weren’t orbiters, they were genuine threats; in the right circumstances, their loads a…

I like incels personally. They have a hilarious meme culture and are basically good guys. I’ve seen videos of these guys on YouTube, they’re often decent looking and funny. But the catch is they are about -50% on the social graces scale. Girls hate this. Rather than blame girls for being shallow, they shit on themselves. Who knows why they toke off depression; maybe their older brother listened to emo when they were five years old. But they won’t cheer up and enjoy the happy parts of life. Which…

This is one of the biggest reasons I went my own way: I am just obsessed with my hobbies. They’re totally nonnegotiable and I need a lot of time for them. My girlfriends competed with my hobbies (hey they wanted a challenge) and lost. Not necessarily their fault, it’s mine if anything.

I think the author inadvertently underestimates the quality of taken women. My experience has been that the kindest, smartest, most humble women I know are in apparently strong marriages long before they reach 30. The key is in most these cases they locked their man down in college or high school. Mating is a race for young women. It’s not nice and it’s not fair, but for better or worse it’s true. Nature gives an overwhelming advantage in pairing to a girl that works quickly on that. These artic…

At 33% gross and debt free. Having a hard time breaking through that level though because: 1. I’m a fanatical CD, book, movie, collector. 2. Buy way too much preassembled food, and 3. Have a tendency not to seek reimbursement from my employer when it’s a hassle. If I can improve on these, I should be able to reach more elite levels of mgtow mastery.

This lady has a poorly defined personality. Every time I see a video of her (I’ve seen like 17 or so over the years), I’m always struggling to remember who the hell she is and what her thoughts are. It’s like she’s been so many things that they all cancel each other out, and she ends up being just a meaningless blob of carbon tissue.

Regarding your 2nd question: This may sound crazy, but I’ve found practicing the occult to be perfectly suited to situations requiring routine activities, exercise, isolation, and confidence. If that offends your belief system, then please disregard, as that’s not my intent. I’m just throwing it out there as something that has worked for me, and I’m happy to elaborate. The sad thing about the whole wine/walks/arts bullshit is that ... I actually like all of that. When I was dating, I’d repeatedly be disappointed to find out that women were just making that shit up, and what they really wanted was a man to repair the house on weekends.

One comforter under me, one over me. In a carpeted room. It was very uncomfortable for about a week, then I slept like a baby. This is coming from a guy who hates discomfort. I tried the cold shower thing for several months and never got used to them. And really, the blanket under me only serves the role of preventing carpet burn.

I think life is largely awkward and uncomfortable, drifting from one sense of purpose to another. Can we find a true meaning? Maybe, I sort of doubt it. In the meantime ... we can focus on the little things. Feeling great physically, being around people you like, following through on goals, listening to new music, reducing stress. This should be helpful whether or not we ever really find meaning.

Who has been walking away from traditional churches in the last few decades? Men. Maybe the church should stop actively destroying young men’s psychological health by shoving marriage and courtship on them without a warning label. Maybe they should actually protect the men who walk into their doors seeking spiritual protection. There are biblically valid ways to do this, so the ball is really in their court. Until then, the church will continue to largely be a support group for sluts and single …

I believe you don’t have to commit either way. If you choose a relationship, you can usually leave yourself with an out without fucking her life up too badly (the assumption is that she would have it coming anyway if you dumped her). If you choose MGTOW it doesn’t make you less attractive - they actually come at you harder, so you can always drop it. So maybe just stay flexible and don’t feel constrained by labels.

I’ve never really had gay friends. I’ve tried a few times, but the gay dude either wanted a relationship or there’s no shared interests. If he wants a relationship, he feels friend zoned, and assumes I’m in the closet.

This is women’s vision. This is their endgame! They see the ideal marriage as a cold functional transaction. This is straight from the horses mouth. Women are disgusted by men trying to combine romance with relationships. They believe romance should only be with sex partners, and couples should just be business partners. Women are bleak as all fuck.

She says she’s pushing 30. If she wants a guy to make her into a housewife and mother, she needs to bust her ass finding and securing one. She doesn’t need permission from her subscribers, that’s 100% her problem to solve. She seems nice looking and pleasant enough, but I see zero hustle, zero sense of urgency, and most likely extreme pickiness.

Another idea: take survey of all your past sex encounters and ask yourself if there’s any bad blood lingering there. Keep it respectful and polite as reasonably possible with these women if you are still in contact with them. It’s time to be more vigilant.

I think the church needs to take far more seriously the protection of men. Shoving the traditional American-style 20th century marriage down impressionable young men’s throats is dangerous in today’s climate and has very little biblical basis anyway.

It’s natural for men to worry. The reason women are so skilled at shaming men (e.g., loser, creepy, awkward, can’t get laid) is that they’re biologically hardwired to do this, and they teach each other this skill from a young age. What’s new is for the first time in history, men have the technology to anonymously share notes about their horse manure relationship history. The result is that we are unplugging from the matrix. The self improvement part is geared toward our own happiness. I exercise…

I read the blurb and instinctively wanted to do the opposite and say something supportive but ... no man, you need to snap out of it! Wake up. It’s normal to get feelings, but this girl sounds like nothing but trouble. If she isn’t even going to pretend to be a unicorn, then you shouldn’t even pretend to orbit. This is very common and you didn’t do anything wrong. A lot of men, religious or otherwise, tell their girlfriends they want to wait for sex, but get pressured into it. The fear is that if you don’t nut in her mouth, she’ll find someone who will. Your desire to wait as a man simply holds no value in this culture, and is mocked by women and men alike. It was a reasonable request but it wasn’t respected. You obviously weren’t assaulted by any traditional definition, but under 2017 definitions, har…

“Middle term savings” which I define as outside IRA (long) but also above and beyond what I need to replace my used car (short). This is an annual deposit into my Ameritrade. Ordinarily increasing the IRA contribution would be the go to move, but 1. I want to retire before 59 and 2. Stocks look overvalued as all hell. It’s hard to judge someone as better or worse when they put themselves out there and take a shot. It’s usually a shitty interaction; it’s normal for it to end poorly. I respect anyone who approaches me, and I try to be polite and direct. What does annoy me is a persistent woman. I said no, that’s the end of it. If I liked her, I would obviously say yes and escalate. If I look really uncomfortable and fidgety like I’m getting my teeth cleaned, it’s probably for a reason.

Practically any guy can get laid (including so-called incels who usually have much better chance than they think). The real question is why bother? Artists are overwhelmingly male. You can always pick out talented exceptions (e.g., the Bronte sisters) but the fact that you have to try says it all. I think they can do reasonably well as singer/songwriters or actresses. Many of my favorite albums are by women - I think it’s a great field for them because they are soothing to listen to. The date zone is much more degrading than the friend zone. The latter at least usually leads to meeting interesting people. If you ask a woman out on a date, it balloons her ego, and she goes into Simon Cowell mode like the unattractive fool in this video, judging your every move with the very power you gave her! If you ask a girl out, you’re straight up cucking yourself. If the girl really wanted you for sex, she’ll get in your proximity and stay there. Dating is a 20th century relic, it’s harm…

When I was your age (90’s), girls had something called crushes (a type of emotion). Sometimes the guy seem like a good match, other times a wildcard who her friends disapproved of. Either way, she would be singleminded in pursuit of him. Girls don’t have crushes anymore. They have lists. They are in love with criteria rather than actual people. And they make no effort. I’ve worn many hats. I’ve been a beta boyfriend, an incel, and a bad boy fwb. I’m basically average and older, so women have slotted me into most of the roles at one time or another (except husband where I dodged some bullets). Now I’m trying this monk-like life. Generally, Hollywood needs new stories. They should go around college campuses, give cinema students $1k in pizza money for random scripts, and start the hell over. Or spend about the same to buy the rights of NaNoWriMo plots. At this point, any new fresh content would be welcome, and i’d take a thriving B-movie culture like the 70’s over the stagnation we see today. There’s a conflict of interest specifically when teaching your daughter. On one hand, you want her to have the best chance of success, and on the other you want her to be a positive influence on others. I think a lot of dads go along with the “you go girl” shit, but it’s vague whether it’s actually helping their daughters. Nah, this just sounds controlling to me. People are who they are, so a better option is to either have strong tradcuck wife selection principles, or to just GYOW.

I’ve never heard of the expectation to check and see if she made it home alright (which the article implies ~84% of women want!). Guys would most likely do that if it weren’t perceived as needy or clingy. Men act far colder with women than they normally would because women say they prefer it. It’s very basic.

Men own negative thoughts. We deal in harsh reality - the reality of our world and of our own shortcomings. Men didn’t push the self esteem fad, we didn’t make “confidence” trendy, and we don’t push body positivity. Maybe we should adopt a little bit of that stuff. Because nobody is around to tell us about our positive qualities. We don’t get pats on the back, and we sure as hell don’t get recognized for all our efforts and hard work - it’s all taken as granted.

For me it was a strong preference and is why I didn’t put a ring on it when I had a six year relationship. For me it was the way height or income is with some girls: a bare minimum requirement I refuse to budge on. Given my age and the era I live in, that makes MGTOW a better fit. Men shouldn’t have to justify their standards. It’s not debate class. Guys should just say them clearly so female candidates know where they stand and what they have to do to win over the guy.

Think of it this way: women are so annoying and harmful to men that there must be an even more powerful force that has been drawing men to them. That force would be their appearance. We are hypnotized by their looks, scent, and voice. It is almost impossible to overcome. The reason the whole world is going MGTOW or grasseater is that women have in recent decades gone too far, and we no longer have a real incentive to wife them up. They no longer save themselves for marriage, take care of the hou…

For me, it might be the biggest reason I’m MGTOW. I care about her past! I am instinctively hardwired to want her full affection, and I don’t get it when she’s had a bunch of dick in her mouth. I don’t have a wild past, but they always do if they’re pretty.

She is a moron if she thinks she can build a normal family life. It’s obviously too late for her for that, so my advice to her would be to drop that fantasy and just have a fun time on the carousel, broadening it out to include non-beta guys who will make her feel good and used.

One area many women complain about where I think they have a valid point is that porn is warping the expectations of the modern guy. I’m not saying I’m any better - I watch plenty and have no plans to stop. But back when I was dating, it affected my relationships.

A possibility (which I believe) is that men want sex more for what it represents than because of pure libido. It represents the female’s affection and submission. This is why it’s a drag if she is a starfish - you can tell she’s not really attracted. On the other hand, if her skin gets really flushed and she finishes, it’s pleasing for the male who knows she’s now attached to him and he has far more power. He also knows that it will attract other females - when it rains, it pours. And by extensi…

MGTOW is just a tool. It’s not a debate about right and wrong. It doesn’t have to prove anything, it just has to work. If a guy avoids relationships, he’ll retire younger, avoid alimony, have less stress and more dignity. A lot of older men have pulled me aside and quietly told me whatever I do, never to get married. That they’d give anything to be in my position. Are these men perfect? No, they are not saints, but neither am I. The more relevant thing is they wish they were single. That’s usefu…

Similar but not as unpleasant. Women made much more of an effort back then. There was still some value placed on the “nice boyfriend” type, so guys were nicer. Part of the reason everyone is such an asshole these days is because women stopped rewarding good behavior, and men followed the incentives. Women were also different in bed. They’ve on average become much more interested in being choked or pinned down, etc these days by a strong hung werewolf or whatever. It used to be much more normal. …

What achievement will mark the year? How will you expand in your hobbies? In your savings, income, knowledge, health? Write it down on actual paper, pin it to the wall if you have to. Those of us who have some years under our belt (I'm 40) will notice that these women aren't traditional. They are conservative activists. Growing up in the 80's, many mothers of that era weren't dolled up, didn't have careers, and quietly tended to the home regardless of their political views. That is actual traditionalism, and I doubt most of these trad girls have the guts to do it. Not saying one way is better or worse, I don't actually care either way. MGTOW as a growing phenomenon is new. It is the result of men sharing relationship struggles on the internet. Face to face, we're less comfortable talking about those topics, so comments sections gave us the same empowerment that women got from the universities.

One reason is purely offensive strategy. Women are very confident and put men on the defense. By always getting men to question our own value, they never have to answer questions about what they bring to the table. If you tell a single woman she's not worth the effort, she'll say that you're bitter because you can't get laid, or that you can't be Peter Pan forever. No I was a cucked out beta with religious excuse overtones, and you are correct I shouldn't have let her use me; this was pre-mgtow. I may have had a chance at her STDs though; she fake fell asleep in my arms when we drunk, but got sort of mad at me when I tried to sneak off to sleep. She had previously mentioned being very submissive, so for all I know she was expecting me to go 50 shades of grey on her. Most likely she just wanted a beta to cuddle-serve her through the night to get her warmed …

Word searches guided me home. That's why I don't believe in proselytizing the MGTOW lifestyle to blue pill guys - I was beta as all hell too but I was smart enough to find MGTOW on my own. I remember when MGTOW content was very obscure as little as 4 or 5 years ago. I believe that the main cause of MGTOW is not feminism, but rather the internet. Guys are finally comparing notes - a historical first.

A woman stayed the night at my place several years back, and I caught her receiving a hookup IM on my laptop after she left from some random guy she'd been messaging during the morning hours. They actually apply multitasking to dick.

Appreciated the Gregory Becker reference - I followed that guy too, he had a great style. I'm guessing he got concerned that his videos were a bad influence given that he was a father, which is completely understandable. But some of those early MGTOW trailblazers were great.

At 18, hormones are so strong that they override the mind and direct your thoughts. Don't feel like you're doing something wrong because nature is kicking in - you're biologically programmed to be a servant to women, and we've all felt that pull. You alluded to a couple things you can confidently focus on: your health and education. Without question, regardless of how it feels, those are a great use of your energy. Toss in an internship and CPA practice exams at some point, and you're off to a r…

They don't offer a thing, unless you count: they stop calling you an awkward, bitter, creepy loser. And women lift the ban on you hanging out with their husbands because you're no longer single. That's all they offer - they stop actively belittling you. Sex barely counts as a benefit anymore because women have taken that over too - you have to make her feel 50 shades of cosmo, or she starts to miss her college days. This is by their choice - in theory, they could offer whatever they want.

I think you're doing pretty good, but if you make a promise to marry you can't bail - you either say no or you commit for life. The reason I say that is too many women are using the "we were young" excuse these days, and you're smarter than that. Re: your advice for MGTOW. Yeah it's dangerous negligence because we could see another crash. I think another underrated culprit is the rating agencies. They relentlessly pressure companies into reducing expenses (and their downgrading is feared so they have power), which results in constant outsourcing and crap raises. They just want to protect investments; they don't care that hard workers are struggling to make ends meet.

The central bank bought a ton of assets so that the markets ended up with cash which is supposed to flow through the economy. But income is stagnant, so the middle class isn't spending much more. A lot of this money has been sitting idle in bank reserves. Same with low interest rates. Since ordinary people aren't taking out more home/car loans due to affordability, the only effect the low interest rates have is making bonds a poor investment. So everyone has bloated the stock market instead.

I agree, I wonder if some of it is an age effect. I notice the old school MGTOW tend to be extremely chill because they've seen it all and are less prone to judge. I'm not youth bashing by any means, I just remember that when I was <25 it was a lot harder to chill the hell out. You tend to want to square circles rather than just let it go.

"Just be confident." It's demeaning advice. I have no interest in putting on a clown act to impress some cocky girl who thinks too highly of herself. Women used to date and marry normal guys. I remember all the work parties my parents threw growing up. The couples were all normal. The husbands weren't particularly good looking, smart, or rich. I went through a horrible dry spell because I'm kind of beta. The rough plan I'd recommend is: Stay single. Realize on a logical level that it's possible to want things that are bad for you. Realize you're not a coward by quitting as long as you don't give up on goals worth attaining. Improve your life significantly by setting tough but realistic goals across the board. A few years down the road, you'll be thankful you went your own way.

Not for me. Rather than going back to old gender expectations for women, I'd rather just men abandon theirs too. Feminism provided an opportunity for men to free themselves of their social obligations since the women did it first. I want that total freedom that is only possible now. For my goals, it doesn't seem like a wife adds more value than she takes. Viewed from another direction: I'm less concerned with the quality of the woman and more concerned with the lifestyle potential.

Yes I do. They are women I've worked with who are married or in ltr. I will only be friends with a woman if she speaks well of her man and if she's a hard worker. I've noticed some of the best wives make more than their husbands. It just seems like this creates a good power balance, never thought about why.

Only speaking for myself: Pepe has barely any relationship to MGTOW. I've seen some posts and videos with his image too, but it doesn't bother me because I think it's funny. My limited understanding is that he represents trolling, often from a right wing, sometimes nationalist point of view. If I don't share the political beliefs of a MGTOW video or post, I usually just go elsewhere so I don't ruin the vibe for the participants. MGTOW is politically as broad as the views of the male population a…

Not having to buy crappy gifts is one of the underrated benefits of MGTOW - one of the very best. It's as you say: they don't just want a gift, they want you to struggle over the thought and presentation. It really adds up too. Valentines Day, anniversary, Christmas, birthday, and random "spontaneous" tributes. After a year or two of dating, you're fresh out of ideas. Go your own way. Maybe Chad will find a way to make her feel special.

It's actually harmful to the women it's trying to help. We're not going to read an article saying "women are sexiest before they even turn 20 and before they've gained experience, and the smart ones are leveraging this to lock down the husband of their dreams." That would be closer to the reality, and it would be very useful to women who are commitment minded. But it wouldn't be received very well.

Is it just me, or are these "career is amazing but can't find an amazing husband" articles always written by a woman from NYC. These gullible women all move there to live out their dumbass romantic comedy dreams, then they're surprised when they find out that even Lord of the Rings and Star Wars are more realistic than the life they imagined.

I wouldn't. The male libido is pretty powerful; it's responsible for almost all of the buildings, businesses, technologies, and art in existence. I'd rather keep all of that energy and just choose the way I want to direct it. If things get a little tense down there, there's no shortage of norp.

My experience has been than women can't move a project forward. They always bring things to a screeching halt the minute any slight problem comes up. Men are more effective at balancing deadlines and quality. Managers recognize the employees who stall and the ones who finish.

I don't think about my washing machine unless it breaks. But it makes life easier than scrubbing my shirt with lye in the river and hanging it on a line to dry. I don't necessarily have to cut a guy out; I can just stop caring and cut back ... be a little ghosty without making a scene of it. I don't know man, there's something to be said for used for 2 or 3 years. If you don't hate work, get the new toy that you've earned and enjoy it. If you're already moving into monk/retirement mindset, it sounds too much. I've averaged about 5 or 6 years a car, sounds like you've squeezed more out of your jeep than that so well done either way.

It's difficult unfortunately. One insight I've only discovered in recent years is that the "dream career" is an illusion. All jobs ultimately boil down to tedious grinding. So you can seek a job with stability and benefits, max out retirement contributions, and maybe avoid sales (but only if you despise it because it is otherwise good work). This insight isn't terribly helpful but at least you will avoid disillusionment. You won't feel that putting the cover letter on the tps report is "beneath"…

Part of why she admires the guy so much is because he's seeing someone younger. This is reckless behavior even for a 20 year old seeking a good man, much less a 30 year old. She's driving herself crazy by choice, but I gotta say I like that she didn't blame anyone.

I'll take a stab: women don't see us as a threat. They think we're not their target mate. If they personally lost a guy and he attributed the rejection specifically to MGTOW, it would get real very fast. But we keep a low profile and our official numbers aren't high (many guys going their way haven't even heard of the label). For guys attacking us? A lot of people are just controlling and can't mind their own business. Do gooders who think they have been chosen to uphold tradition. Screw them.

Great post, always nice to hear someone living well for themselves. Regarding your last point, I actually have become a less misogynistic with MGTOW than my dating years because the quality of my life depends on my own decisions. Yes. Most of them will struggle because most don't pass and the ones who don't will have extremely limited/niche options - I don't say that to be cruel, it's just reality. You hit on the key problem with their movement: they aren't promoting anything new; women already do all the dainty feminine stuff for Chad. Red Pill Women is a movement to try to get Chad to commit. The only new feature is that they're open about it. Women are usually quiet about being submissive for Chad because they don't want to sound weak in front of their girlfriends.

Me too, a lot of my favorite newer bands have a strong female presence like Now Now, Alvvays, La Roux, Best Coast, Vektroid, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and older artists like Tori Amos, Mazzy Star, the Broadcast, etc. Not 75% in my case but a heavy part of my rotation. If I'm in a metal mood, it's mostly guys. For me, music comes first. You can always answer these prying questions with vague answers like, "I'm sure it'll happen if it's meant to be" or "I don't know, maybe I just have to meet the right one" or "you know how it is - it's tough out there these days." Women gobble that shit up, and while it makes you sound dumb, women expect men to be dumb in romantic issues so it'll be convincing.

I think the effectiveness of her message depends on the goal. I agree it's probably not enough to sway guys who've gone their own way. But will this approach make her a better girlfriend than her peers? Yes, she'll run circles around them. For me this patches up some of the easier parts of being a girlfriend (cook, clean, suck dick, be nice) but doesn't address my bigger concerns (divorce risk, getting alpha widowed by Chad and running up a high count). So that's what I'd tell her.

I think this is slightly more nuanced than girls being attracted to killers. My read is that the younger generation of girls has a lot of anti-feminist types. They feel which way the wind is blowing, and many are taking up pro-male talking points. And most importantly, they're taking opportunities to mock their older millennial counterparts who are all hitting the wall and can't find husbands. I see it as a generational cat fight.
