You didn't give much information about your background. You might not even be who you claim to be. You might just be trolling. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and try to answer your questions. I'm going to have to assume certain things based on my personal / professional experiences and statistical averages. You didn't say if you had any brothers or sisters, so I assume you are the only or the oldest child. If you are 15 years-old, it is likely that your parents are in their mid to late 30's and married a year or two prior to your birth. That suggests they have been married barely more than 15 years. It also suggests they were born around 1980 and were raised with the social and cultural values of that generation. Those values included men being brainwashed and bullied into believing the lie that women are equal to men in every respect if not superior to them. If your father loved your mother as much as you say he did, he probably pursued her more passionately than anyone else did. If a man of higher social and financial status had pursued your mother, even if he didn't have your father's positive character traits, you can be sure your mother would have selected the other man. And if your mother originally wanted to remain single, but chose instead to marry your father, love was probably not her primary motivation. It is more likely that she recognized your father as a devoted and hard working mule who break himself to pieces trying to give her whatever she wanted. Since you were not there when they were dating or when they married, all you know of their relationship before that is what they have told you. And you can be sure they haven't told you everything, particularly the ugly side of themselves and their relationship. Your best friends are probably about your age and their parents probably are from the same generation and demographic as your parents. I'm a Christian man and have been married more than 30 years. I was a police officer for more than 25 years and have owned a state licensed private investigation agency for more than 25 year. Between my law enforcement and private investigation experiences I've seen a lot of disputes between men and women, and the majority of those disputes were instigated by the women. The infidelity ratio between men and women is about 50/50, and the divorce rate among professing Christians is very close to the divorce rate among non-Christians. About half of the clients who seek my investigative services because of infidelity are professing Christians. I have numerous Christian male friends, some of whom have been married longer than I have. We have discussed the matter at length and are nearly unanimous: If we had it to do all over again, we absolutely would not get married and probably would avoid women altogether. That doesn't me we don't love our wives. It means we now realize that the time, energy, emotional, psychological, financial resources and love that a man must invest to establish and maintain a relationship with a woman doesn't even come close to being worth the return on his investment. Women are by nature deceitful, manipulative, egocentric, and parasitic creatures. I'm sad to say that includes most Christian women. Consider it part of the fall described in Genesis 3. If you haven't heard of Briffault's Law and Corollaries, look it up. Nearly every man with substantial experience dealing with women will tell you that Briffault was right. But don't take our word for it. Open your eyes and see things as they are; not how you would like them to be. Christian pastors might be worth listening to when speaking on matters related to your personal salvation. But when it comes to understanding female nature and relationships between men and women, most of those pastors are blithering idiots and their advice has done much more harm than good to the men who have followed it. So, tread carefully as you grow up. Don't let your parents, relatives, pastors or friends con you into believing the ridiculous notion that getting married is essential for your personal happiness and fulfillment.
