Jewelry mostly gold, a first edition of one of my favorite books, a surprise trip scheduled and a new MacBook because my daughter accidentally dropped water in it a couple weeks ago.

Do you have family support?? Or other income? You’ll be going to school and working. Sadly in our current reality, healthcare, childcare/education and housing is at an all time high. I support all women and their choices, but honestly concerned for your child. Have you considered adoption? My neighbor sons is adopted and they are currently waiting for baby #2 and so happy. I strongly believe that every child should be given all the resources, time and love to flourish. Please give this matter th…

I have 3 littles so I definitely understand how hormones can get the best of you. That aside, I feel this relationship was already not going well before the pregnancy. He seems very unstable, and you need a man to be your captain. It’s doesn’t appear to be him. Also it’s possible he is being out the worse in you. Hormones aside, you were not making the best decisions. Curious how far a long you are. And why you were working so much.

I’m not gaslighting you. I agreed that some people have specific preferences. My cousin is a redhead covered in freckles. It’s not for every guy but she made it work. I’m simply suggesting to you that tour appearance is only part of the equation. Good luck

Yeah I’m sure it does to some point, some people have specific preferences. But again, it’s something you can’t change, so I wouldn’t put much energy into it. I think an evaluation in other areas might be beneficial. The women in this group are welcoming and honest. You are appearing off putting and defensive. These are not attractive qualities. You say you’ve never had a boyfriend. Do you also struggle with other relationships? SMV it’s important but don’t forget RMV!

We all want to and do change the things we can change. It’s just strange that you included your race (sometime you can’t change) when I feel it’s a non issue. Why are YOU trying to make it about race? I know many women who have gotten a nose job. That’s not a black woman only experience. Why did you include your race if you’re sensitive about it?
/r/RedPillWomen07/04/25 12:13 PM

That was also my first thought. Is it possible you’re just unattractive, insecure or awkward. I’m in the Bay Area so much more diverse than my hometown in the south, but I see beautiful black sahms all the time (assuming this is your goal). I’m not sure if this is a racial issue.

I’ve definitely had people come up to me talking about abortion when they wanted me to sign something or donate. I’ve also gotten a flyer in the mail before. Definitely haven’t experienced it in casual conversation. How odd

I honestly think it’s because you invested in yourself, took action and got positive results. Your insecurities issues are yours alone. I’m a thin girl and always have been. I struggled with feeling insecure after my 3rd baby and I weighed less than when we married. Insecurity is a cancer in relationships.

They are both. My husband and I are not political and a good amount of our core friend-group is the same. If you are considering joining a political party to make some friends I’d highly advise against it. There are much better ways!

Prior to my husband I was in a relationship with a guy who was not really ready to settle down. I went into the relationship letting him know my desire to marry young and have a short engagement and he agreed with me at the time. The reality was he and another guy I briefly dated were basically fighting over me and he wanted to win. It wasn’t long into the relationship that I figured out his true desires. It was difficult but necessary to break up and I never looked back. Your husband will be on…

I’m a SAHM and a sister in Christ so I want to give you sound advice. If you have no desire to complete additional schooling then don’t. If you are not satisfied in your current position, look for another. Don’t plan your life based on something you absolutely cannot control. It’s possible you won’t ever marry or have children. Or your husband may not be able to support you staying home. With this is mind how do you feel you can best serve god? What direction will help you feel fulfilled? I thin…

So this is a valid point. There was recently a discourse about BallarinaFarm(I think that’s correct) on socials. A couple weeks ago my good friends (who are all married to success men) were talking about this. It does not matter how much money your husband has or makes if he doesn’t value you. He must see your work as being just as important or more than his work. The best indicator for this is obviously history. How did he grow up? What’s his relationship like with his mother, sisters, aunts. D…

NYC has alot of alumni groups events etc, also try getting involved with philanthropic events, become a donor they often have private events, social or country clubs if you’re able. You are going to need to put yourself out there a lot more.

Curious why your family isn’t supporting you in finding a husband. A lot of it is family or school connections. If you are close to NYC there are able events for you to meet a quality guy. Where did you go to school?

A few questions. How often is he complaining about work?? Is your concern that he will get fired for behavior? Or that he needs to make more? It feels a bit like you don’t trust his abilities. You said you work ft, but he earns enough to care for you. Are you saving and investing your income now?

Might be the men you’re seeking. Maybe try finding one who enjoys hiking or music? Do you have a lot of friends? Are they mostly women are men? Do they share your interests? These hobbies don’t scream feminine but it’s not an issue for the right guy.

It very much feels like something is being left out of this story. Who is allowed to behave like this in a proper family? Also the way in which your fiancé is acting towards her is strange. I have 3 brothers so I know the dynamic well. This is odd behavior and I absolutely wouldn’t put up with it.

Not sure why you weren’t originally invited, but I think you should absolutely be added in. Your boyfriend is essentially going to a party where he doesn’t know anyone. Im sure him asking L if you can go wouldn’t be a big deal. Also the only way you and L are going to be friends is if you hang out with each other. If he has a problem including you or not going then you might want to reevaluate the situation.

Do you think it’s possible she has been questioning things for some time? You say it’s just been a month but you also say you exposed her to your similar beliefs long ago. It’s possibly she has been considering this for some time. If this is your best friend I think you can let her know you’re concerned. But don’t make it too serious and move on if she’s not wanting to speak about it any further.

I’m sorry your family is going through this. You are at fault, your husband and his ex are at fault. He is a 15 year old boy who’s going through a great deal. You seem upset about him being on medication(I’m not big on meds either) but it seems to me his mother is the only one working on assisting him with his clear mental health issues. If he is so down he cannot brush his teeth, why is dad and mom not doing more? It’s clear your husband has built up resentment towards you about your stepson. Y…

I feel this is a non-issue in our current reality. There are plenty of effective weight loss drugs, surgeries and proven diets that are easily available. I’ve never wanted to lose more than a couple of pounds but what always works for me is super clean eating, as an increase in cardio.

There is not one place to go for like-minded friends. I’ve personally met more traditional women at our club, church, Pilates class, kids activities, women’s groups like junior League or sorority alumna, charity parties. The options are large if you’re super social. Sometimes you need to put yourself out there. Aside from Reddit, I’ve personally had a hard time connecting to LM women. I have a good group of friends who are likeminded more traditional, sahm’s, respect and care for their husbands and home and are philanthropic. I’m a girls girl so I never have any issues making friends, but I also don’t discriminate based on politics, income level, race or religion. I was raised to not discuss the unpleasant. This sounds like a guy I dated briefly. He would never tell me I was beautiful, pretty etc. he would say I looked “nice” often but that is it. When I called him on it, he made me feel badly by saying “are you so insecure that you need one more guy drooling over you. I think you get enough attention”. I broke it off with him shortly after. Thank you for the clarification. Your “deal breakers” are your own but it’s a bit concerning to me that he is making hurtful comments about your heritage and also making little effort to make a good impression with your mother. I feel I’m missing some pieces in this puzzle. My husband and I also come from a traditional background were family approval is a requirement, so I’m familiar. But I’m confused on (1) why your father wasn’t the one speaking to him. (2) why his family members dislike you (aside from him parents) and (3) who made these hurtful comments?

I had boyfriends before who said they wanted to wait, were Christian but ultimately tried to cross my boundaries. Don’t waste your time on those guys. I’m in absolute agreement with you. This reminds me of a childhood friend who lost her mind around the pandemic and was convinced everyone was against her because she was a Christian(this makes no sense for many reasons) she actually was suffering from some kind of pp psychosis and really did need help. So I’m skeptical at best, based on experience. That we are getting the full story.

I’m also not political at all and although we are Christian not extremely religious. I’ve had a hard time finding influencers. If your goal is to marry and have children why would you currently be dating for fun? Counter intuitive of your goal. I was already married by your age, though marrying young isn’t for everyone. So sorry you’re going through this, it sounds so stressful and the exact opposite of what you need. To answer your question, yes start planning to be a single mother. He has made it clear is not interested in being a father. You have only known him for a short while so you really do know who he is. And he is showing you, when things do not go according to plan. This situation is not ideal, but a good leader would have handled it in a way that made you feel protected.

Hard truth: His divorce and ongoing spousal support isn’t any of your business. “His friends and family are on her side” - there is no side. Only a child who needs care. Your bf will always need to prioritize his child. His marriage didn’t work, doesn’t mean he stops being a parent. You sound like you are not interested in being a stepmother. Which is understandable this is not an ideal situation based on what you have described. You may never get acknowledged for the time and energy that you sp…

Wealth to me is generational (more than 2), includes a hefty trust, investments and a family financial advisor. In my HCOL area there are many tech tycoons. They are all well funded but spend a great deal on elaborate (some may deem unnecessary) things, constantly throwing money around. This isn’t all tech but in my area they have gotten a bit of a reputation.

I’m absolutely in agreement. I honestly view it as a turnoff because it shows a weakness/lack of control. You can be an attractive man and in a serious relationship. I waited until marriage and have zero regrets. It wasn’t easy but I’m glad I stuck it out. It greatly helped me navigate dating which I think is the #1 reason I would recommend. I think it’s soooo much easier to vet when you are not “drunkinlove”. I also planned to marry young (22) and it served as a good motivator to get to the alter. I also love that I’ve only shared myself with my husband.

From my perspective you and your husband are both feeling under appreciated. But it is less clear for me why your husband is. I’m a sahm of two toddlers and am currently pregnant. In this season of life BOTH my husband and I have had to make adjustments. We are a team. When we decided to try for a third we had a serious discussion about how it would work, areas we’d need more support etc. Now that you will be returning to work I think you should take the opportunity to have a discussion and draf…

Just focus on sleep and enjoying the good moments. The rest will come together. I had terrible pp anxiety after my first. My husband did a great deal of heavy lifting for a bit. We also had a night nurse which I recommend and my mom came to assist, which was a godsend. Your relationship will not permanently shift, trust me.

I absolutely agree with the stunningsort. I went through a bit of a shopping addiction with my daughter. I was spending thousands of dollars at children’s boutiques buying the cutest (not the most comfy) outfits. I think I was just excited to have a girl to dress, since my son came first. I quickly snapped out of it and now invest that money where it’s beneficial to them. I also like to decorate my home for holidays/seasons, but I do so subtly. And invest in items that I can use year after year …

My husband and I both work out and have activities we really enjoy and spend a good amount of time on. We also keep a very clean diet. But, are times in the year where he gets obsessive. For instance, every year we lodge for a month so we can ski and it’s honestly all he talks about for months before. It’s not ideal, but I’ve made my peace and found a way to make it fun for the whole family. It’s sounds a bit like he’s becoming a gym rat. I think it would be helpful to learn with him, focus on t…

You say this, but I very much feel we are missing something. If you have a great personality it shouldn’t be too difficult to make a girlfriend. Are you social? Do you live in a small town? What are the barriers? You basically are saying girls do not like you, but also say you have a great personality and no off putting behaviors.
/r/RedPillWomen14/11/23 09:46 PM

Maybe when you looked “bad” your personality was gentler, kinder and more fun. Or it’s possible it was situational, of course it’s easier to meet girlfriends in college, highschool or women dominated field of work. I honestly think it’s strange you would leap to “I’m too attractive”. I’m a girls girl, I’ve been fortunate to have a great group of girlfriends in every stage of life. I am also attractive and most of my friends are attractive, it’s not a requirement; Just sometimes happens that way.…

It sounds like you are doing everything you need to! And taking your PCOS seriously. My husband also wanted a couple of years with just us. Though I would have preferred to start right away. During that time I didn’t push but I did prepare myself by getting my body and mind in the right state (like you). Please respect your husband wishes when it comes to this. Having a baby is a joint effort , both parities really need to be on board. If there was something huge that was going to change your whole life and relationship wouldn’t you want your partner to respect your boundary. If I’m being honest my only concern is your age. How many children do you plan to have? Have you saved for possible fertility treatments? It’s possible you will have no issues but it’s smart to be prepared. Have you had a f…

I agree with this take. I believe there are a number of women who come to this sub who need help as they didn’t come from a traditional upbringing. I think there is a lot of misunderstanding as you mentioned and as a result the “kept” women troupe prevails. Many men don’t want their wives to work. It’s a status symbol honestly. My husband once told me that he had a discussion with my father about this topic when we were seriously dating. My dad basically said that he didn’t expect his daughters to have to work or want for anything. He advised that If a wife was not put together and happy that is a reflection of the husband. Yes, 100 percent upfront about my desires in the first three dates. I personally also had a desire to marry young and have all my children in my 20s. Which I shared. My husband responded well, we both grew up in a conservative environment where marrying young was not uncommon. He proposed without any nagging on my part. Are mamas boys a red flag? I think so. I personally believe it’s an unhealthy relationship that often stems from inadequacy with the father and in the parental marriage. I think it’s extremely important for your future husband to have a good relationship with his father. I find most mamas boys do not.

“Your family” has to be your husbands priority. From day 1 my husband reiterated that our family, he and I come before his parents, my parents, everyone. He’s telling you he maybe doesn’t want to get married and potentially wants to have kids in his 30s. Why are you not listening to him. At your age you can’t really afford to date so absent mindedly. Also having your first child by 29 isn’t ideal. Infertility rates are increasing every year and in terms of your skin elasticity you are better off having your first younger. I think boundaries depends on your specific situation. But all the consequences need to come from your partner. Don’t hold your tongue. Saying “I find it disrespectful when you speak to me like this” or “no” when asked to pick up her things etc. goes a long way. Your putting a great deal of blame on this teen. Ultimately it’s your partners fault. At her age I wouldn’t dream of disrespecting any adult. She does this because he allows her to. My first pregnancy was also rough. I had terrible pp anxiety which made me an insomniac and I also lost 15lbs which is a lot for a small frame. I would never have gotten through it with out the support of my husband and mother. She was able to come stay with me until we secured full time care. My husband took night feedings(when I actually slept) and all his hobbies came to a screeching halt. It was tough few months that honestly felt endless at times. He kept telling me he just wanted me to get…

I grew up in an evangelical bubble and went to a Christian college. Every man there wanted a pure wife and the majority of them were not. I waited until marriage and have zero regrets. It was honestly easier to vett men, because the ones who wouldn’t respect my abstinence were immediately dumped. But now that I’m out of the bubble I find myself being in the minority. I think you should do what is best for you

Yikes, I read your comments in the wedding planning post and I don’t believe being conservative or RP is the reason for the downvotes. It was just rude and unnecessary. Do you want help and advice for planning your wedding? or do you want to argue with people with different beliefs. Nonetheless, I found weddingwire and the knot forum to be super helpful. I don’t know if you plan to diy(I did for one of the bridesmaids gift) budgetsavybride has a great resource section for that kind of thing.

And honestly he doesn’t seem to be financially stable. In this one post alone you mentioned him buying an expensive car and taking a holiday that he cannot afford. Is this your captain? I think you need to ask yourself what you really want. Is it to be married to anyone so you can have a baby by 28? If so than I think your fine to stay on your current course. Marriage is a very big commitment and you need to not only think, is he the husband I want in sickness and health. But also is this the father I want for my children. The provider I need to care for said children.

When you have children you will understand. Your parents are scared you might not find a husband and want to make sure you can sustain yourself without assistance. Are your parents financially able to care for you and leave you enough funds to to sustain your lifestyle over your lifespan? They are simply looking out for you. Id suggest you pour yourself into things that will benefit your future self personally and professionally. Are you interested or passionate about anything? Maybe start there

Take care of your skin. My mother taught my sisters and I this very early. I have had an intense 10 step skincare routine since I was 17. I always wear sunscreen and currently I think I’m on track to age gracefully. My mother is in her 60s and looks amazing. Where I live Botox, implants, fillers, lip flips are very standard. Andrew Tate is disgusting. All the decent wonderful men in my life agree. What man is asking a woman for a written copy of her sexual past?!? Is this honestly common? I don’t think so. Also it’s not anyones responsibility to provide this information to a stranger they just met or person they are casually dating. Or anyone they don’t feel comfortable with. Oh my, don’t listen to any of those men! Also you don’t owe anyone a written history of your sexual past. I would put this idea of being “used up” out of your mind. Speak positivity and love into yourself. Take care of yourself the way you’d like your future partner to. Don’t disclose your past unless you want to. If anything, say you’ve had some sexual trama in the past but you have dealt with it and prefer not to talk about it.

I think it’s common for men to not really know how much rings are. I would let him know you’re not concerned with the price, but are concerned with the durability. If you did marry someone you didn’t like living with than you’d just have to work a bit more to iron out those “roommate” issues. But ultimately you marry someone for love. It didn’t have to be a meal, but that was usually the suggestion. A game, concert, exhibit, whatever was going on around town or campus. I dislike that you brought up a concern (why are you following these women) and his response is to take a break from the relationship. Communication is everything in a successful relationship. I don’t think that’s true in the least. When I was in uni and a guy asked me to get coffee I would just say “I’d love to go on a date but I don’t like coffee” study dates were also popular. I have received zero negativity from being a stay at home mom. I think it’s seen as a personal choice now. My grandma has told me stories about women hiding that they were working or being embarrassed to tell people they had a job, due to how it made the husband look. I don’t think that’s the case any longer. Women with children work because they want to or need to and shouldn’t be shamed. I would wait to move in. If you’re correct and a proposal is right around the corner than you won’t have long to wait! I agree. I feel this whole situation could have easily been avoided. Waiting until marriage to live and be together intimately is the ideal. Going against this often causes women to act irrationally.
