Don't rush to get remarried. Also, to make new friends, get into a hobby/sports. For me, I did adult rec leagues that also had women. I.e. kickball, softball etc. Or pick up a hobby. Running, biking etc. Pretty easy to make a friend group.

I did this as well but it was slightly different. She wanted a divorce so I obliged her. Took about 2 yrs to actually file. A bunch of back and forth. Trips. Family stuff. Still being intimate from time to time. I can't explain it but we still did things knowing it was over. Mixed in with love and anger throughout the two years. Finally did and we're divorced now but still good friends and coparents. I think there's stages to letting your partner go. Hard to quit someone cold turkey. So you do t…

When she moved out I tossed it in a drawer. I took her upgraded ring back to Costco. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I always say, if it's something she wants my kid to do, then she's on the hook for the money. Unless we explicitly agree on an event, item etc.... only then do we split the cost.

Her minds made up. Once you accept that you can begin to move on. You give her all the power by asking her to stay. She's already gone, bro.

Kicking the can is a sad affair. Don't be surprised if she isn't already game planning. Best to establish a game plan sooner than later.

In that case. Lawyer up. Get that paperwork rolling.

I see what you're doing. To try to make it as easy as possible, you want her to think she isn't the reason so she will play nice during the process. Brother, good luck. I think no matter what you do, based on your description of her, you're about to go through hell. Godspeed!

I'm a divorced dad. I never discuss my kid. Good to keep things seperate. If I go bragging how awesome of a dad I am, they'll start waiting a baby.

My ex is financially terrible. I dont care what I have to pay, if I want my kid to do something, I pony up. The days of relying on another person ended the day we went in front of the judge.

Took her 10 yr anniversary upgrade back to Costco for my 8k. Mine is still in a drawer. Not because I miss wearing it. Because it's not worth anything on the market. Lol. F that ring.

My situation is working out pretty good. We run a 2 2 3 schedule. We live about 2 miles apart. We coordinate any and all things regarding our daughter. We speak daily. We still do family things like go to the pumpkin patch, shop for Halloween costumes, etc. Sometimes I feel like she wants to get back together but I won't ever let that happen. So we keep it business like.

Get paid first and walk away. Don't give her anymore energy. Let her fail chasing a married man. Also, separation is kind of a green light to see other people. Mine did the same thing.

Dude, go ahead and file. Sounds like she's got a side thing going on but doesn't want to take the blame publicly for the divorce, hence why she's saying you have to do it. You tried. She didn't.

Dont text back again. Best you can do is wait to see her in person again and see what happens. If she comes to you and says hello, you can reply, "I text you a while back".. see what she says. If she avoids you, she listended to to her mom. Lol

Im happier. The stress of marraige and pressure of a being a spouse was lifted. Never realized how much I had changed from who I was to fit into my marraige. As for the day to day, co-parenting is working out. As for her and I, it's weird sometimes, but the further removed you get the easier it is.

If she asked 4 months ago, she was ready a year ago. Start prepping for court. And yea, most likely she's already seeing someone. Women treat men like jobs, they don't put their 2 weeks in until they already have another job.

Her wanting to live the single live. Toward the end when we lived together she started going out more and more. Like even on week days. Dressing for club. Not doing her part with the kid. Constantly broke. Then she moved out.

Should do the opposite. Forgive but never forget. Youre carrying a ton of baggage that will hold you back from moving forward. You may want to look into talking with a professional to unpack all this so you can move on.

First thing is to find a place to stay. Family or a friend. Second, start the paperwork. Seems like you're at the bottom. The only way to go is up. Life doesn't end when a relationship does. Calm down, collect yourself and right the ship.

16yrs marrried and now its new territory but I've embraced it. Taking time to focus on myself. Health, finances, work, being a father etc. You have to accept that this is the new norm and pick yourself up and move on. It comes in time. As for women, they'll always come along.
/r/Divorce_Men24/01/25 07:30 PM

Never. Had chances but I stood strong. Her, not so much. Lol
/r/Divorce_Men10/01/25 09:06 PM

First step is to leave. Get you a room share or short term agreement for an apartment. Save money and look for something long term. Next file for divorce. No one should be treated that way, period. If she's getting physical, I'd call the cops. No need for any adult to hit another. There's life after divorce. Getting there sucks but the life after will be 1000xs better than the current situation.
