Have you ever gotten back with someone you rejected? Why is this here? | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/04/26 06:57 AM
Solo vacationSeparated in January. Going to Sweden in May. Just do it. Go for it. I’ve had to travel a few times with my STBXW since January and have really made an effort to interact with more people. It’s worth it just for the experience. A great piece of advice I got was “if you see something you like about someone (their sweater, earrings, bag, etc. but not their looks), tell them.” People like compliments and it’s a good ice breaker. Even for people you aren’t interested in. It helps down the line. Good… | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/04/26 06:27 PM
Got served papers do I have to pay the 495 in order to respond back ?CA attorney here (not family law). Get an attorney. Don’t fuck around. Go talk to an attorney ASAP. Don’t go cheap on this shit either because it’s literally everything on the line. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/04/26 07:01 PM
Dating while separated. How did you do it?Thanks for this. I keep imagining all the women would just run away once they hear this but I’m sure some won’t. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/04/26 02:42 PM
Online Dating after SeparationThanks. I’ve heard about the Tea App but it always sounded far fetched to me. Then again I’ve been out of the dating pool for 15 years but I’m still relatively young, mid 30s. Still hard to imagine that it’s changed so much. I’ll probably just get a dog. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/04/26 02:41 PM
Dating while separated. How did you do it?Did I post this thread? This sounds so similar to my situation. I’m going to follow this thread and get some advice from it if I can. My situation is slightly different because we live in a foreign country where the main language is not our own. I move out in two weeks so if I figure anything out, I’ll post it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/04/26 06:03 PM
Holidays alone are tough.Hey man, I don’t know you but I care and I know there are others who care about you too. There are going to be tough times like this where it feels no one cares but trust me, there are people who want you to be alive. Sometimes you just haven’t met them yet Things will get better little by little with time and sometimes they won’t. Try to think of the good possibilities ahead of you and know that you are loved, brother. I lost a very close friend to suicide and it hurts to know that it still hap… | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/04/26 06:17 PM
Wife file for separation. I’m counter filing divorce.Generally not true. Each state is different. Please don’t follow this advice. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/04/26 09:58 AM
I need some honest advice. Am I jumping the gun or should I throw in the towel?Your situation sounds very similar to mine (up to about paragraph 4 at least). Now we’re separated and finalizing a divorce in a foreign country, with kids. Take what I say with a grain of salt because my situation hasn’t resulted in a happy marriage. Seek professional couples therapy. Approach the subject carefully with your spouse. Her response will give you plenty of information and reveal her mindset too. I wanted to do couples therapy many times with my ex but she kept deferring and at some… | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/03/26 04:59 PM
Divorce in a foreign languageI’m dealing with something similar, though both US in a foreign country. Most places require you to have a translator. You should seek advice from BOTH an Italian divorce attorney AND a divorce attorney from your country. If you are a US citizen, you can get divorced at home if that suits you better. Each country will have their own pros and cons to divorce in that locale. Those pros and cons will also shift depending on your financial situation with your STBEW. Best of luck, man friend. Hope yo… | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/03/26 04:44 PM
It’s better…Thanks for sharing this. Felt needed atm. I’m fresh into a divorce and I hate how everyone gives me all this fake positive BS about how we should all be happier. This is a fresh wound and I want my ex to not be doing well atm. Is it healthy for me? Probably not. But this is new and she carries plenty of blame for all this. Let me heal in time and wish her the best later. Good to hear you’re doing so well stranger. Wish you all the best. 👍🏻 Gives me hope for my life. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/03/26 04:09 PM
