I haven’t really started dating after the separation but I wanted to dip my toes in just to see what it was like. We’ve been together for over 15 years so I’ve never even tried online dating. I’ve heard many many bad things about it though.

I created a profile on tinder/hinge to see what kind of women are out there. The country I live in doesn’t have many women on the sites, I heard they use other sites and mostly stick to in person meets. I flew back to LA for a few weeks to visit family and have notice a stark shift in the women that post. It’s like the only purpose of these sites is to hook up with the hotter rarer men. I feel like I’m missing something. These types of women seeking lots of fling and posting bikini pics just don’t appeal to me. For some fun, maybe, but for anything serious, no thanks.

Any suggestions for meeting a woman? Should I just avoid these sites altogether? Are there other apps that focus more on serious relationships?
