I do this on tinder dates all the time. Usually just a little bit of basic small talk, then I go off on some deep emotional topic because that is what interests me. Ultimately I want to connect properly, emotionally. Which means that she gets the feeling that her vulnerable side is accepted and I get the same feeling.

Indeed. And to become masculine you need to meditate daily, take cold showers daily and work out daily. That is, constantly work on discipline, so that you are not receptive to your own emotions, so that you are truly a master of yourself. Only then can you master women.

You can use your insecurities to seduce her, funnily enough. What is powerfully seductive? Being vulnerable yet a master over your vulnerabilities in front of her. Because she'll relate to a guy that has some trouble in his life too, because she has it too. Nobody is perfect. The key is to be a bit humorous about yourself and all your weird little quirks. But yeah, you can approach even by telling her that you are a bit afraid but still wanted to say hello.

Yeah we all have our own views and theories, and this reddit in particular is most focused on the biological, evolutionary aspect.
