Considering how poorly their current approach is going, starting a new campaign that uses up resources while signifying to the world that their machine can be stopped is a terrible idea to achieve their long term goal

Excellent, we now have evidence to support the mission. I can imagine that a similar study will show the same of women, and then we can get somewhere

The patriarchy obviously. I'm not trying to diminish anything to less than an egalitarian point because otherwise I wouldn't be egalitarian.

Are you happy with the current cost of such apparatus?

Of course I understand how economics works. But I’m really not sure how it matters here given that a number of western countries have successfully implemented a baseline level of free period products
/r/MensRights02/07/26 07:19 PM

No. We should strive for an egalitarian world where everyone has equality of opportunity and no one is restricted based on their biology, physiology, wealth, environment, location, and a million other things

Not at all, but the majority of gender segregated sports differ between the genders in terms of strategy and approach, whereas that isn’t really the case with different gender lead superhero filns

Men and women both oppress women in various different capacities, just like how they both do it to men
/r/MensRights02/07/26 01:58 AM

As I have explained elsewhere, the analogy was objectively flawed. And calling feminism a hate group demanding superiority suggests to me that you haven’t spoken to many feminists.

Having just done so, I still fail to see what relevance your comment has

How have I gatekept here? How have I been destructive? What’s wrong with being a feminist?
/r/MensRights02/07/26 01:48 AM

I appear to have poorly communicated my point to you. I agree with everything that you said, but the proportion of men and women who watch sports changes much more between the two genders than the proportion of men and women who form the audience of superhero/comics/action and adventure media.
/r/MensRights02/07/26 01:08 AM
-22

By definition, what I’m saying is constructive. A better analogy would be an all female heavy metal band complaining that they aren’t getting the attention they deserve because of their gender. It really frustrates me when people make good points and then use terrible example and reasoning to back their pouts up and I feel the need to point it out
/r/MensRights02/07/26 01:01 AM

They can both be oppressed in ways that the other can’t. And even if what you’re saying was true, do you think that no one faces gendered oppression?

My point is that OP has used a bad example to demonstrate a valid point
/r/MensRights02/07/26 12:28 AM

Yeah the script was very bland. I came out of it feeling that I had just watched a generic superhero movie rather than what DC was promising it to be
/r/MensRights02/07/26 12:20 AM

The sports part of the argument doesn’t really work as large amounts of both men and women watch men’s sports, but there aren’t really large amounts of men who watch women’s sports

You’re comparing your numbers of rape to mine of sexual assault, which we both know are completely different events. I used to be on your side, of course I know that the rape numbers are similar.
/r/MensRights15/06/26 06:33 PM
0

You’re looking at page 24. Even if we were to suppose that your given proportion of false accusations was true, the subsequent ratio of women who are sexually assaulted compared to men whose lives are affected by false accusations of such events is over 50:1. Regardless of what the ratio is, it’s really concerning to me that you and mras in general are putting your attention onto the side much less affected. I thought this space was about striving for societal improvement

From Scotland: https://www.rapecrisisscotland.org.uk/resources/False-allegations-briefing-2021.pdf From the FBI: https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/1996/96sec2.pdf Another one from the USA: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/1077801210387747 Every single article and source that I could find online agrees that the number is less than 9%. Nearly half of false accusations are not made by the “victim”. And let’s not even talk about how scarily small the proportion of real victims who report …

Can you provide evidence that shows that 50% of allegations are false?
/r/MensRights14/06/26 08:53 AM
-5

Where did I say that?
/r/MensRights13/06/26 10:28 AM
-2

Of course I would consider it beyond the surface level. Heavy statements require heavy thought. The statement doesn’t refer to killing anyone, it refers to killing the part of the person that tries to talk them out of what they are saying. For example, a woman saying that she wants to ‘killallmen’ is often met with men telling her that she doesn’t mean that because of what the consequences of such an event would be, because she doesn’t mean it because she’s got a boyfriend and a dad and a brothe…
/r/MensRights13/06/26 12:09 AM
-9

Firstly, the manosphere, while saying different things, has a similar approach to these groups of women, and as we both know, this isn’t a true reflection of men and women or mras and feminists. Regardless, I’m still not sure that you understand what ‘killallmen’ actually means beyond the obvious surface level
/r/MensRights12/06/26 11:55 PM
1

You’re profiling these people. Why don’t you actually talk to them by themselves and try to understand their motivations and reasons?
/r/MensRights12/06/26 11:49 PM

You’re strawmanning their argument.
/r/MensRights12/06/26 11:44 PM

What have they done that is harmful to men that is not beneficial for women?
/r/MensRights12/06/26 11:37 PM

Feminists want to end the draft altogether, of course they don’t want anyone to drafted. I understand that we might value things differently, but I don’t get how being exempt from the societal responsibilities that men face while the opposite occurs at the same rate, albeit different responsibilities, could be advantageous.
/r/MensRights15/05/26 02:44 PM

I’m really not sure how you arrived at the conclusion that being systematically denied suffrage is advantageous

The big problem I have with social conservatism is that it is the antithesis to evolution, and even if the status quo is objectively a good thing, over a sustained period of time it is not beneficial at all
/r/MensRights13/05/26 11:15 PM

Segregation, McCarthyism, inequality of opportunity, overreliance on petrochemical products, and a socially conservative society all spring to mind.

I’m not a feminist. I just really don’t want to go back to the 1950s.
/r/MensRights13/05/26 10:39 PM

This is such a terrible example. If your analogy is reflecting the deeds of men, then why would not telling them about their bad deeds make them feel disadvantaged?
/r/MensRights13/05/26 10:26 PM
0

Oh so you have no source. Spiffing stuff. I will say, the example of banning ‘men as men can never be oppressed’ is the right thing to do, and the empowerment of boys in education is something desperately lacking in the modern world, but this can be achieved without disempowering girls in the method that you propose. And your example of facts not being thought is very much a half-truth that ignores how different the lives of the sexes used to be and still is in various parts of the world.
/r/MensRights13/05/26 10:20 PM
0

Because it would likely lead to the opposite type of agitprop which would very obviously disadvantage women and girls. Even if it didn’t, the idea of entirely reforming the entire education system to benefit less than half of its recipients and disadvantage the remaining students is completely stupid.

The increasing push away from the establishment parties towards newer movements - in the UK for example, the Greens and Reform are both booming in popularity despite Reform being about 3 years old and both parties having never had more than 2% of house seats - and the gradual realisation that the majority of two party systems are pretty much a uniparty only differentiated by culture war stances, and the decline in soft power had by the West for hundreds of years, all suggest that radical change …

/r/MensRights12/05/26 11:46 AM

There’s no real bias against men here. This is just op exaggerating both sides to fit a narrative. Anyways, in the traditional values associated with both, motherhood is a key part of femininity and power is a key part of masculinity, both of which op has conveniently forgotten to include.
/r/MensRights11/05/26 11:14 PM

They are absolutely terrible for both the cause and the people involved. There is an unfortunate lack of good role models for boys in media, so you get people like Myron telling them things that they want to hear, before begging them to buy their course on whatever new shill they’ve produced. This is damaging to the boys looking for guidance and finding miracle cures hidden behind paywalls, and also the perception of the movement because all the general public sees is central persons being douch…

/r/MensRights11/05/26 11:02 PM

While I think it would benefit men and boys, it would massively disadvantage women and girls at the same time. So this is not the solution.

Wow this is such a terrible mindset
/r/MensRights11/05/26 10:57 PM

This argument comes from such a stupid place. Firstly, there is a major difference between the state forcing one to pay child support and the state forcing women to reproduce. Secondly, it assumes that no relationship will last and that divorce or other separation will occur Thirdly, it assumes the best in a man and the worst in a woman for no reason at all.
/r/MensRights11/05/26 10:53 PM
-1

Judging by the political winds of change globally, it is becoming clearer that two party systems in particular will be unlikely to campaign on culture wars for much longer, and instead be forced to address actual issues that affect everyone. So the future will probably and hopefully be a kind of gender war truce where both sides are able to get things done side by side.

Like I keep saying, they are very relevant to the topic, and if you gave your thoughts on 2A and DBD, then we could have a productive discussion on why men are second class citizens. Until then, you can keep living in your fantastical world.

They are related to the discussion, and depending on how you feel about those topics, I can present arguments in a way that benefits the discussion for both of us ie if you were Christian, I may add a religious slant to the discussion that would not be there if you were an atheist.

From my understanding of your argument, you gave the state’s view on abortion, and so I assume that you agree with the state. Now could you please clarify your opinions on 2A and DBD?

I’m not trying to claim that smoking itself is good for you nor that you can’t socialise at the gym. What I am saying is that a large part of what smoking was before it was frowned upon by society is the social aspect of it, which is slightly larger than the social aspect of the gym today, and so while the gym is objectively better than smoking, it isn’t 1000 times better. And you dragging meth into the discussion is disingenuous as the social aspect of meth is not Can you please link the video,…
/r/MensRights16/03/26 04:26 PM

Okay, thank you very much for doing that. It’s nice to see people actually doing something for the cause, even if it seems small. Yes, men’s rights is discussed on this subreddit, but not often in a constructive manner as what ends up happening is people don’t share new information or ideas on the topic and so it becomes reduced to ‘fuck feminists’ more often than not, and this really shouldn’t be the case if we want to present as a respectful group instead of what Reddit currently views us as.
/r/MensRights16/03/26 04:20 PM
-2

This isn’t hating men for going to the gym ffs, this is hating that some men go to the gym and don’t do much else
/r/MensRights16/03/26 04:13 PM
-2

No. I was downvoted for telling people to get out of the echo chamber and do something that actually has an impact on society. I don’t disagree with advocating for men’s rights at all, but doing so here serves no purpose to further the cause.
/r/MensRights16/03/26 02:54 PM
-1

So you’ve said that the common negative thing that women say about men’s hobbies is that they’re immature for playing video games. I agree with this. What I don’t agree with is that it is a key hobby of women to do so - I think it’s quite bizarre of you to assume that such an activity constitutes a hobby partaken in by several million women for several hours a week, and is also the primary activity that they engage in.
/r/MensRights16/03/26 02:52 PM
0

Smoking is a social activity where you meet and converse with people from all walks of life, which cannot really be said about the gym. Again, can you please link the video instead of saying ‘look it up bro’. Also, can you please not strawman my argument? At no point have I justified the video’s behaviour or demonised the energy that you are so keen on giving
/r/MensRights16/03/26 02:46 PM
-5

What did you comment on that TikTok to make this clear to the world? No one is going to see this post if they’re not on this subreddit due to it being shadowbanned. You’re preaching to the converted. Anyways, this isn’t blatant man hate no matter how much you want it to be
/r/MensRights16/03/26 02:42 PM

I said that on this subreddit, there is very little resistance to the default school of thought and that anyone who thinks differently invites hatred onto themselves
/r/MensRights16/03/26 02:39 PM

I’m not sure that the gym is literally 1000 times better than smoking. I don’t know that they’re only bashing it because it’s men because all I have to go off is your screenshots. Could you please link the video so that I can see that you haven’t cherry picked your comments? I’m not mad at you for listing ‘pointless hobbies’, I’m just laughing at you for evidently having one of them. I am disappointed that she has made that video, don’t get me wrong, but it’s that you’re projecting and you can’t…
/r/MensRights16/03/26 10:29 AM

I’ve said a lot that complaining about the problem has no benefit to anyone and we should be focused on actually doing stuff, even if we end up changing our priorities to do so
/r/MensRights16/03/26 10:22 AM
-7

ah yes, on a subreddit intended for empowering men, as soon as someone calls out the echo chamber for complaining instead of actually doing stuff, that person is told to leave. i love reddit so much

What would you say is the predominant hobby of men?
/r/MensRights16/03/26 08:26 AM

Do you know that because you have been to the comments section on the video OP is referring to and so have seen such, or because you have seen screenshots linked by OP?
/r/MensRights16/03/26 08:24 AM
-5

This doesn’t refer to the general world, but I’ve been slated for having a slightly different opinion in here quite a lot
/r/MensRights16/03/26 07:32 AM
-1

So you’re using the example of about 10-15 different women in the comments section of a TikTok to determine the predominant hobby of women globally?
/r/MensRights16/03/26 07:29 AM
-7

Do you think that the predominant hobby of women is complaining about men’s hobbies?
/r/MensRights15/03/26 11:24 PM
-8

The TikTok isn’t bashing the gym for being a predominantly male hobby, it’s bashing the gym for being THE predominant male hobby. It’s also amusing how you slander women scrolling social media despite showing us this TikTok, which you have evidently scrolled through social media to find. With your comparison, are you going to make the claim that the gym is a good hobby, that makeup is a bad hobby or both?
/r/MensRights15/03/26 11:07 PM

In America? I think it probably ends up fine in America, I agree. It fits right into the more individual culture you guys have. In Europe, I think it becomes a different story due to different societal norms

You’ve picked two bad examples. Theroux is merely a mouthpiece for the documentary and has almost become a puppet for the producers - who he is doesn’t matter: his gender, race, sexual orientation, political identity. Whether or not this is good or how it should be is irrelevant as it ends up being what the higherups want, and even if he was more of a bold personality, he would be replaced with someone else more mellow. Starmer is currently being villainised by the media due to his not being a m…

I agree with your assessment in the example that you provided, but this is worst-case scenario for men versus best-case scenario for women. In this specific case, I would probably say that the man experiences maybe 130 arbitrary points, but if we were then to draw in other parts of life, the number drops to below 100 again.
/r/MensRights12/03/26 11:04 PM

If what you are saying is true, then this is where we think differently - I assume that you believe that these organisation are pushing men down, and I believe that they are pulling women up. Regardless, this all comes from mega donors trying to retain or better the status quo for themselves by fuelling culture wars, much as Elon Musk throwing money at Trump or the Koch brothers investing in TPUSA or oligarchs buying swathes of land and media outlets, or in this case, donating to women’s shelter…

Sorry, I meant white collar jobs instead of blue collar jobs, but most of the stuff still applies. On a side note, if a woman was to experience 100 arbitrary points of sexism across her life, how many arbitrary points would men experience

Do you think that women don’t experience serious discrimination in blue collar jobs, which are a far larger sector of the economy both in job count and economic value than childcare? I agree on your support systems point (which is based on gender norms), but to suggest that women don’t face discrimination as SAHMs is just wrong - they experience it everywhere, from working mothers jealous of their freedom to do so, to working men who think that they’re weak and lazy and submissive.

What? Do you think that posts online that excuse such things are acceptable? No one, regardless of gender, deserves anything like that. Before you talk about “they’re not talking about men being 🍇”, I have never seen any of them support such acts. The vast majority of the PLENTY of other online spaces with similar views have a large amount of overlapping members, and even if they didn’t, they are still dwarfed by the number of feminists globally. I will mostly cede your next point, however no fe…

Please don’t lecture me on stats, I’ve known about them for years. They are partly what swayed me away from your side. I think that the majority of such dangerous jobs can be made much safer, but it’s easier and cheaper for the corporation to leave it as it is ie the divers who got stuck in a pipe whose boss decided to let them die because it would have been too costly to save them. Yes, they were male, but the only change to the scenario with role reversal is that maybe it gets a little more ne…

You can’t be serious with that. As we all know, internet people exaggerate their opinions for clicks anyways, and such subreddits are massive echo chambers where you cannot criticise them without getting deleted or banned. This is something that doesn’t happen with this sub as much, so there tends to be more varied and ‘real’ opinions here. These subreddits also have a combined ~250k members, which I think we both know is dwarfed by the number of people globally who identify as feminists. In the…

I was asking to what scale equal contributions looks like. For example, are you suggesting that ~20m Ukrainian adults should be sent to Zaphorzhzhia to defend the front line, or does it become more nuanced than that?

You are strawmanning my argument - at no point did I mention totality nor being sunshine and rainbows. It is clear that, overall, the benefits of abortion outweigh the negatives and that overall, the benefits of immigration outweigh the negatives. I feel that you are demoralised more than I am if in your made up world, I can have completely lost hope, confidence and enthusiasm despite wishing for sunshine and rainbows

I never mentioned gender at any point. I think that you might be inventing things that I said
/r/MensRights11/03/26 07:28 AM

Okay I think I misunderstood your previous point. In an ‘oil war’, where the average person gains and loses nothing from the war, I am against all forms of civilian involvement/conscription/draft. In cases such as Ukraine, where Ukrainian citizens risk being annexed by pro-Russia forces, I am less opposed to internal conscription in principle, but I still agree that expatriated refugees should be left where they are.

Yeah I came to the conclusion recently that while my real life self is disconnected from my internet persona, my internet persona exists in multiple small corners of the internet where anyone determined enough to cross-reference the subreddits and then go on to connect internet me back to real me, and I could do without being doxxed.
/r/MensRights11/03/26 12:04 AM

Are we discussing Ukraine or not in this example? I condemn deporting refugees unconditionally. Unfortunately, Ukraine is in a position where it has become a global war, and it is no longer about the government ‘fighting its wars’ which it didn’t even start but more so about retaining global order. This is a completely different case to oil wars, in which case I agree with your comment.

What does keeping my account private have to do with me holding both sides of the coin to the same standard? As to the spamming of the subreddit, sometimes I get bored and do things like this. I also try to do it in the feminist subreddits but I get deleted more often than not
/r/MensRights10/03/26 11:55 PM

Yes I do say the same thing when women say that about men, and I roll my eyes when they also fail to provide any examples too. Honestly, if both sides spent as much time holding themselves accountable as they currently do not, this subreddit would not exist
/r/MensRights10/03/26 11:39 PM

For clarification, do you think that all Ukrainians should be fighting for their country regardless of gender?
/r/MensRights10/03/26 11:30 PM

Honestly I could make a similar claim about you. The point that BowtiepastaMasta was insinuating was that women often blame men for their shortcomings and I was asking for concrete examples that can be used in debate. As for comment history, I prefer to keep myself private online so that people don’t know that I’m trying to own being an incel on psychologyofsex, for example.

If you want to focus solely on the UK, then we can. Personally I prefer not to as the UK has a few anomalies that make discussing general issues somewhat more awkward. Regardless of location, I still fail to understand your point?
/r/MensRights10/03/26 11:23 PM
-16

So your argument is that women would generally be keen on reducing the population in one aspect and increasing it in another? Why are you equating an embryo to an adult human being? Even if I was to agree with your weighting, your logic falls apart when you are not describing a majority of white women - 64% of them voted for Trump in the USA

Also, I find it hard to understand how the US can be more democratic than the UK when someone with 34 convicted felonies can become the ‘leader of the free world’ and the UK’s deputy leader was forced to resign over not paying £1500 in house purchase tax
/r/MensRights09/03/26 11:10 PM
4

What? I’m referring to the people who own UK media, not politicians. Incidentally, one of them is an ex-KGB foreign affairs agent, but that’s not the point. The point is that they want less tax and less workers rights so that they pay less in their other ventures (because no newspaper is anywhere close to being profitable), and so they are pushing narratives that will enable the political parties that will give them these tax cuts to get into office. As an analogy, let’s say that in 2024, Jeff B…

/r/MensRights09/03/26 10:52 PM

Yeah that’s literally just the media and the 4 people who own pretty much every newspaper in the country. Their agenda is best implemented by misdirection which, as is seen in a lot of the West at the moment, is most often immigration. But this is above all a racist thing where the whole ‘we’re being invaded by criminals’ is accompanied by stock images of Muslims.
/r/MensRights09/03/26 10:47 PM

I didn’t use objective metrics as 1. For every piece of data you find, there is an equal opposite piece of data out there, and so it counteracts itself 2. Objective metrics is rarely the best way to determine how people feel and are treated. Yes, you can point to the suicide rates, but we cannot know that what pushed them to commit suicide was caused by gender discrepancies.

Father absence often means an incomprehension of boundaries, hence why the rate of single mother children in prison is so much higher than 2 parent or even single father. However, single father households tend to have a lack of emotional intelligence

After years of mistreatment from everyone I’ve become misanthropic to virtually all but 20 people I know and will meet. This kind of behaviour ended up with my believing that I’m psychopathic until I took a step back and looked around at what society had become and realised that no, I’m totally fine. It’s everyone else that isn’t. Anyways, I feel like I’m going off on a tangent. Yes, I’ve “turned evil”. No, I don’t care anymore
