Ask her to do something only an 18yo can do, like buy you cigarettes while you get gas.

This is a terrible place to ask for medical advice. Go see a doctor and tell him/her exactly what your title says.

Great advice, I'd like to see you get more into each topic though. What does it mean to be intellectual, emotional, sexual? I bet a lot of people, myself included, might mix those up from time to time, and being able to identify them more clearly might help us in the long run.

Why don't you ask her? It'd be interesting to find out.

It's a weird feeling, yes. It's also very, very common, and is a lot of the reason why people give up on things they think they care about. You THINK it isn't doing anything, because you only are paying attention to that very specific end goal, waiting for yourself to wake up one morning and think "I am finally fixed and now I am FINALLY happy!", which is predicated on "attracting women" in the vague sense. But that's not how it works. Just keep picking away at wherever you think you need improv…

And who doesn't like being complimented in front of people? Plus the complimentee likes you more for telling other people about your respect for them. It's a win for every angle. Just make sure it is genuine.

I try to say something positive about the person as an intro to get the conversation going, if they are going to be talking for longer than an introduction. "This is my friend Jane, and she's an amazing graphic artist"

Take it a step further. Try asking ANYBODY for the time. Work your way up so you wont end up choking.

It's awkward because you are thinking too hard. Once you approach enough it's no longer that big of a deal, and you can just be yourself.

You're not approaching, she's just there while you are doing something else.

This is the unfortunate plight of many teenagers. The sad truth is that you're going to have to put up with this until A) Your parents think you are mature enough (good luck) or B) You find somewhere else to live. Secret option C) is to talk with your parents and siblings about it, which could make things a little awkward (but is it worth it?), or just get over how it makes you uncomfortable. We all have needs (this is the ballsy approach) But really, you aren't screwed. It's totally reasonable …

It's called "What Every BODY is Saying". For some reason, I feel like if you get a title like that wrong, you aren't understanding what's in the book. http://www.amazon.com/What-Every-BODY-Saying-Speed-Reading/dp/0061438294 To OP, I'd suggest making her laugh and asking her questions about abstract stuff.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
