Yep. Also the weird, over-the-top sounds and facial expressions, and the lighting. And orgasming the second the penis is inserted. Nothing about it is erotic or sexy.

Yup. Where I come from, hypergamy is normal. I'm thankful for that. Cause nobody will judge me for refusing to date a guy who isn't financially stable, or can't buy a house, or has issues like alcoholism/drug addiction. But when it comes to Disney movies, we are brainwashed with the idea of this "not shallow" love, that encourages us to disregard character, upbringing, and compatibility and instead make big life decisions based on fluttery feelings of "true love", which apparently couldn't possi…

Facts. I can't imagine ever getting mad at the other woman, especially if she didn't know. She's a victim too. We should form a sisterhood rather than fight over a scrote. Pick mes probably won't want to do that though. They're too busy trying to "win" the piece of trash man.

I think that's different though. Cause you aren't gonna see them in it. It can be a nice gift from a friend. Cause you give it to them to lift their spirits, and its up to them if they wanna wear it or not. But there's something weird about the man you are in a relationship with giving you lingerie imo. Cause its for his enjoyment. He expects you to wear it for him.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/07/21 07:58 PM

It is insulting, now that I think about it. Its a bad gift, no matter how long you've been together. I would feel weird to receive such a present. I would feel cheap too. If I want to wear lingerie that is my choice, but he shouldn't expect me to wear it for him. I see it as something I would buy by myself only, and wear it if I want to. When I think of a nice gift that I can enjoy, I think of a massager, a spa day, jewellery, etc... Its really not that hard to get a nice gift for someone, if yo…

Ikr? So hard to believe, and also painful, cause even though you can't find a reason to believe, the brainwashing and fear of hell is so strong.

Yep. They wouldn't like it at all. That's why it's not allowed for women to have multiple husbands. In fact, it is considered a sin for men in that religion to have no " protective jealousy" over their wives, meaning that it is okay for men to do things that would make women feel jealous, but women can't be jealous, cause men are entitled to having multiple wives. It will never be fair.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/07/21 12:28 AM

Ugh at the second paragraph. You dont need your husband to get another wife for company. She should make her own friends for that. She sounds like she has low self-esteem. As an exmuslim I'm so mad. When I was questioning the religion, I asked about the topic of men taking second wives without the consent of their wife, and the responses I got from some women were so horrible. It really messed with my head. They really don't want better for themselves. They see it as a "test" or a way to become …

Facts. This one guy made a joke once and I laughed, and made a joke back, cause I was trying to be nice. He assumed I was flirting and made it really awkward and weird. I felt embarrassed even though he approached me first. That's why I try to stay neutral with my reaction to men's jokes. Especially at uni. I feel like so many people have mistook my polite/kind reactions for being a fool/pushover. I dont want people to feel like I'm being mean, but at the same time, I dont feel obligated to "rea…

I see. I have like 7 uncles who I spent a lot of time with, so I guess that's why I see older men that way. Maybe a girl's relationship with her dad would play a part in her attraction to a certain kind of man. The idea of a future with a man seems unattainable to me too, but I'm trying to work on it. I deserve good things in life, but being with a man is still not important. But its never unattainable.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/06/21 10:36 PM
15

Facts. They're just not thinking ahead. I find some older men attractive too (usually in their 50s, dunno about 70😅😅) but I would only date them if I were around the same age. Plus I would question why a man that age doesn't want to date women his age. I doubt we'd even be able to communicate. Plus, anyone my dads age or older, I can only see them as an "uncle". I know that the world is unpredictable, and people can die at any time, but if someone is young and dating someone who is near the end,…

Ugh. Its disturbing how the "younger ones" are usually very young women. Even if you are not that young and dating an older man(like let's say you're 35 and he's 70)...Why?? I'm convinced these women have never thought about their future...ever. They never look ahead. Women live longer than men, and these women are dating men 35-40 years older than them. I dont see the logic. I've always wondered if these women ever thought about the fact that their bfs are old, and they will probably have to be…

And the men know that we've been fed this fairy tale poison too. Its shown in how they will say anything to get in our pants. We are taught to put men on a pedestal and men are taught to devalue women. In Disney movies and our childhood TV shows, men are always shown to be the prize or the "popular guy" or prince, and the woman's main goal is to get picked by him. Always. So we have low standards, and tolerate horrible behavior because getting picked was enough. Its sickening. And I think women …

Omg same. At this point its not even a question of "can I trust a man?" I cant even trust nature. What if I have to be his caretaker for a very long time because of an illness or disability? Just because someone is married doesn't mean they are taken care of. Its the main reason I'm single for life. I dont want to be legally bound to someone, and have no idea wtf is gonna happen in the future. Even after you vet and vet and vet, you still have to have a lot of luck.

He's being an abusive fuck for the sake of it. He knows what she meant by the sex thing, but he's committed to misunderstanding her. He wants any reason to punish her, and the "sex as a job" thing was the perfect opportunity. What an abusive fuck.

Its like some wise people have said, to never play fair in an unfair world. The system works against us, and by trying to remain agreeable and pleasant at all times, we are putting ourselves in danger. I will go 50/50 when I see evidence that the world is fair, and that I will get back what I put in a relationship. So far, I have seen no such evidence. So I will do whatever it takes to make sure I am not taken advantage of.

Girl I am in the same boat 👏 I turn 21 next month and I haven't had much experience with men, but I am done with them. Even the thought of dealing with a "HVM" sounds exhausting cause you can never be sure about him. My intuition has never failed me, and I will never allow a guy to disrespect me. For "love". He will be competing with me. And I love myself and respect myself more than anyone in this entire universe.

And an attention seeker 😒 I know for a fact that guy just posted so women would praise him for being a dad. Men can make a career out of not being a shitty father to their daughter.

Damn 🤦🏽‍♀️ Its fake but still annoying. Speaking of crappy fake proposals, have y'all ever heard of proposal pranks? Like the guy will pretend to propose to his gf, she will say yes and cry very real tears of happiness, only for him to say "haha gotcha", making her upset and disappointed for no reason. Pranks should end in both people laughing in the end. Not someone laughing and the other crying.

I agree. He probably wants to "hate fuck" her too. Which is what a lot of misogynistic fucks like him fantasize about.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/06/21 08:58 PM
34

Agree. Its why I dont trust anyone who says "I am an open book". Why would they say that? So I can be tricked into believing that whatever he says he is and what shows on the outside is who he really is? Not gonna happen. We owe it to ourselves to be skeptical of men. Its life or death. We know society is on some bullshit when snooping is more of a problem to them then someone cheating.

It seems like he's attracted to her sister. He wants to sleep with her, and he's angry that he shouldn't, so he needs to put her down to make himself feel better. Or he gets turned on by putting her down. Either way he sucks.

And then after that: Its's okay for my boyfriend to have sex with other girls. Cause I'm not iNsEcURE. I shouldn't be so controlling of my boyfriend. I mean, some pick mes are already like that 🙄😒

Omg thats horrifying 😨 Plus it says they've been together for 14 years. That would mean they got together when he was 28 and she was 16. Typical grooming situation. I feel so bad for her.

Yup. The look on his face as he walked up to her just screamed "I'm about to take away your shine cause I can't handle you being in the spotlight for one second". The video wasn't even titled "___ wins medal". It was about the proposal 🙄

Idk. I feel like "matchmaking" is better done by someone who knows you personally. Not a service. Like a good friend or family member who has your best interest. From what I've seen, many matchmaking services gaslight women into lowering their standards.

Facts. I watched this one vid on YouTube. A man proposed to his gf after she won a silver medal at the Olympics. He went to her as she was receiving a medal and proposed. Something about that felt inappropriate. Like he wanted to show off his "trophy girlfriend" or something. I wish he would have let her have her moment. It became all about the proposal afterwards, and not her receiving a silver medal.

They don't see it as necessary to get over them. Which is why men with exes they aren't over or "the one that got away" are a nightmare to be with. Men always want what they can't have, so forget about competing with the one they're pining over. Chances are they don't even want to get over their ex.

Sometimes, I feel sad that I'm single. Then I go on reddit, and I'm not sad anymore 😒 What is this? She better not stay in a relationship with him. Not for the kid and not for the sake of "love". A man who is that depraved wouldn't be a good father anyway.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/05/21 07:10 PM

Facts. They also don't see emotional cheating as cheating. They think its okay to talk to another girl, text and sext her, and confide in her about personal details, but as long as they don't get their dick wet they're good.

Wants a threesome with another woman but will throw chairs and flip tables if his girl says she wants one with another guy. He'll get offended and say he "ain't gay" but expects his straight girlfriend or wife to do things with another woman for his pleasure.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/05/21 06:06 PM

All men benefit from cheating men too (cause most men cheat). That makes the non-cheaters who are still disrespectful and lazy look like saints.

Fuckin facts. They hate women. I dont know if men are this obtuse on purpose, or if they actually need someone to explain to them that you can respect someone and still see them as an equal.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/05/21 05:38 PM
23

Respect is so important. So many men think they can do whatever they want cause they think their "love" is enough. Love is nothing without respect. In any relationship. Respect for their time, boundaries, beliefs, values, autonomy, etc..
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/05/21 05:24 PM

I like how careful I am. For my own sake. I dont let just anyone into my life. I respect my body and my feelings. I validate my emotions instead of hating myself for them. I have my back and I put myself first. I'm always focused on how I can improve myself. I'd like to think that I try to be fair to the people in my life. I would hate if someone would just take from me without considering that I am a human with feelings, so I wouldn't do it to someone else.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/05/21 12:18 AM

Its the performance aspect for me. I cant see myself getting married and being happy, cause people watch you. People can never mind their own business and they expect you to conform to their ideas of how a wife should be. Also, the idea of the emotional labor I'd have to do is enough to turn me off the concept of marriage entirely. Not even with a HVM. Im an introvert, and I cant imagine being happy with someone constantly in my space, even if that person is great. I dont want to share my life l…

I feel like it will be easier to do that once quarantine ends and I can go back to uni. I already made so much progress last year and the year before that by being away from my family (super religious, also pick me and have toxic mindsets) and doing things by myself. But now we've been stuck together in the same house, and its frustrating. I've been reading a lot though. Some valuable books that are helping me become more courageous. I have role models, not anyone I know personally though.

I'm kinda struggling with this right now. I know what my standards are, but I still feel a lot of fear about going my own way, cause a lot of people will disagree with me. I support and look up to women who do what they want regardless of what other people think, but I still feel really anxious when I try to do the same thing. Its something I am working on. It's hard to get rid of the anxiety and discomfort. It gets better but its really hard and requires a lot of willpower.

It definitely comes off as holier-than-thou and obnoxious. They could seek out other messed up poly people, but they feel the need to manipulate monogamous people who have been with them for years. This is my problem with them. I don't care about people who mind their own business and don't harm others, but these "free love" assholes get involved with people who want monogamous relationships, and then they have the nerve to shame them for their boundaries. I dont owe anyone anything for not having kids. My reason for being childfree is so I can have more time and money. I'll be damned if someone assumes that the extra time and money is for them. That's so disgusting. I remember reading a post on a sub for men, asking how they react when their gf/wife cries. A lot of them responded that they would feel horny. I really don't understand the "I'm the exception" mentality. Right? People who have this mentality need to change it, for their own wellbeing. We need to see people and society for what is really is and not what we want it to be. It won't help anything if women keep idealizing these ain't shit men and making excuses for their behavior.

Oh yeah that makes sense. I've seen the movie. I think you're referring to the live action version. He says something like "what if I marry an honest country girl" and his dad gets mad I think. Ugh but even in the 1950 cinderella, all his dad cared about was finding a baby factory for his son. He didn't care who the girl was. She just had to "make a suitable mother".

I'm surprised how much people invalidate women who say they want to stay single for good. They respect their decisions even less than childfree people imo. If you're childfree, people still invalidate you, but you're more likely to find people who respect your decision as final. They don't respect wanting to stay single at all and its frustrating. All these men have one thing in common, which is that they get in relationships with women they don't actually like. I think its a "man thing". Men think something is better than nothing, while we (FDS or any woman with high standards) think that nothing is better than something we don't want. Men need to start respecting the time of the women they are getting involved with, but they don't. They think they are entitled to a relationship, but they either don't know what they want or they didn't f…

Omg memories 😭 I watched this as a child, as well as the disney version. I remember being annoyed back then that things ended sadly for the original little mermaid but now I appreciate it. It didn't end well cause she didn't make a good decision. You can't try to make someone love you and you shouldn't lose yourself for a man. She did both and failed miserably. Disney is weird. If you never heard about the original tales, you will assume all these princess stories are wholesome, but they weren't…

He's disgusting. I would take it really hard. Imagine being so intimate with someone, and investing so much into a relationship, just for him to say he wants to fuck other people. How could he think thats an okay thing to say to his wife? Men don't think about the consequences of their actions. I really don't think they do. They say and do things that are horrible, and then put on the "I didn't know she would react that way" act.

Facts. I feel really bad for the women who got married and had kids with losers like them. Men who don't appreciate them at all and openly pine for someone else. It has got to be soul destroying. These men are shameless and don't love anyone. To them, love = feeding the ego. They don't appreciate that woman when she is there, and when she's gone, they use that woman as a weapon against the next one. Triangulation is one of their most brutal methods they use to destroy a woman's self esteem.

Men will still marry women they are not in love with though, while looking for or missing the "love of their life". I put that in quotations because men like that have never loved anyone but themselves. I feel like most of them "settle", and the reason I put that in quotations is because these women they are settling for are usually amazing people, but they still get treated like dirt cause their husbands aren't in love with them. There is no true freedom for a mother. At all. The dad can still be seen as his own person separate from his kids and baby mama, but the mom will be defined by her role as a mom forever. It's a huge sacrifice that people don't think about before they have kids. When I imagine the stressful life of a parent, I wonder why someone would choose that situation. Most show just a lack of self-awareness, or they're aware and they pretend they aren't. Either way it makes them look stupid. Is it cause nobody told them no growing up? I'm genuinely confused.

Men get better treatment, no doubt about that. I just think that in general, dead people are seen as more valuable than the living for some reason. But men get better treatment for sure. We have women proposing to men these days cause they're so lazy and incompetent. Society is on their side though so women still bend over backwards to impress men, even though men don't do shit. They think all they gotta do is lie to a woman and say they "love" her, and that will keep her doing stuff for hi…

Same. I can't think of a better support to have than a group of single women who truly care about you. A HV friendship is where its at. For me its just a need to have my own space and not have to answer to anyone. I dont want to be with a NVM who makes my life hell but I also don't want to be with a HVM. I dont like romantic gestures and mushy words cause they make me feel uncomfortable, and I hate physical contact, but that's just me. I love that the ladies on this sub are able to take control …

There isn't a HVM out there for me, only cause I dont want a relationship at all. Even if hes a "good" man. I just don't fuck with them anymore. Its too much of a burden. I don't feel any shame about wanting to live alone and not have kids anymore. Is anyone else here planning to stay single? Like not until you find…

Facts. Men always go on and on about how they don't like women who "play hard to get", but they really don't like women who like them back. They don't appreciate what they have until it becomes out of their reach again. That's why so many men emotionally abuse their devoted girlfriends or wives with "the one that got away". That girl can either be an ex they didn't appreciate or got tired of their nvm ways, or a girl who refused to go out with him. They will use anyone for the purpose of triangu…

He's trying real hard to convince himself he's not the bad guy. It shows in the video he posted with his wife. He's one of those guys who see cheating as something that "happens" to a couple rather than something a person does by choice. They try to compare their bad actions to a natural disaster that wasn't anybody's fault. While I dont put anyone on a pedestal for any reason, I did respect him and thought he gave solid advice (and it is good advice, but he doesn't practice what he preaches). So when it turned out he was a cheating narcissist it kinda messed with my head. Like why did you make yourself look like a single man who has been hurt by a woman before? Right? Its like me inviting a friend over, asking her to give me her valuable time, just to make her sit with me in my backyard and stare at the bushes, and make no effort at all even though I invited her over to spend time with me, and then get mad at her for not entertaining me. Then I send her home, having throughly wasted her time.

Most of humanity has lived without porn. Men were always depraved. But come on, most of the things they do about their "sexual desire" is just a manifestation of their hatred of women. It has been shown with forced marriages, violent acts, and now it manifests in porn addiction, as well as violent acts and kink culture. None of which are the fault of women. And they never will be.

Repulsed. And kinda fearful tbh. In the first few months of following FDS, I thought maybe I can find a HVM. But I honestly see men and women as incompatible. It is so misogynistic. I left the religion for that reason. There are many hadiths that are degrading to women, including one that says if a woman does not have sex with her husband, angels will curse her all night. Disney princess movies are actually horrible if you think about it. I mean, what do most of the princesses have in common? This is so important, cause imo, even if we have formed a sisterhood with other women, we still need to avoid seeking validation from anywhere but within. We can be friends and help each other out, but we still need to trust our own gut and intuition about what we think is right and wrong for ourselves, like at the individual level, instead of seeking approval from others, even our closet friends or mentors. Before quarantine I would commute an hour and a half away from home, and I'd go home late at night so there's a lot of anxiety then cause I'm alone and I have to walk a long way to the bus from my school and I have to take the subway too, which is fu…

How do you go about rejecting/getting away from suspicious men? Cause I'm genuinely terrified. I say this cause I worry for my safety, and there's unwanted attention everywhere. Two very persistent ones tried it when I was separated from my people, and one tried to physically keep me from leaving. I was a teen and he was at least 45. And another one trapped me in an elevator with him when I was trying to go home. Turns out he didn't even live in my building. He followed me home. These were obvio…

Assuming she knows he's in a new relationship, and she hasn't contacted him in months, I would say she's missing him and wants to see how his relationship is doing(hoping its not going well) so she can try and get him back. If she had simply sent him a happy new year text maybe it doesn't mean anything. But saying she's grateful for the time they had together...That sounds like something you say during an amicable split, but not months after, after no contact.

Happy new year text is okay, but not that second part. And not if the bf sent that text. Bringing up the past is kinda weird. Its like she wants to get back together. I personally am not okay with the chatting. Some people want to stay in contact with their exes and that's their business, but I won't tolerate it, unless it were a baby mama, but I'm childfree so that's none of my concern anyway. Nah, no exes. No friends, no "special place in their heart", no "one that got away". People have diffe…

Its not a "flaw", but people have their preference. I personally prefer a full head of hair. Bald heads look nice on some people. I would rather they be fully bald then have hair around a large bald spot. There are a lot of things people find unattractive that is beyond our control. Its not their fault, neither is it our problem to worry about.

When you keep making excuses for things they do that hurt you. They could say something that would emotionally scar you, but then give their bullshit explanation for why they are right and you're wrong, and you believe them and assume they're right. Pedestalizing someone makes you think of them as the "objective". Their word is law and if they think something is wrong with you, you feel a deep shame and try to become someone you think would be "worthy" of that person. So when you just assume the…

I'm sorta at peace with that. I'd rather outlive him. I have this anxiety around the idea of a man I marry using his past with me to torment another woman. Men will date whether they have baggage or not. Women are just therapists who offer sex to them after all.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/02/21 08:50 AM

Yep. But men can't be single. They just can't. That's why they struggle to see how someone could have a life that doesn't revolve around getting the attention of women.

It's so weird. That's why more women should start dropping men like hot potatoes at the first sign of disrespect. But they don't. And men know this. Because of movies and social conditioning, we have been trained to want "struggle love". Women and young girls think they will be rewarded for their patience and sacrifice. There's no time to waste with someone you don't like.

I realized that men will do literally ANYTHING they can get away with. Usually a woman won't stay with a guy she can't be bothered to treat nicely. But a man will. For the benefits. There is someone out there he can respect but he won't wait or try to find her. He is perfectly content stringing the other one along. There is no shame or restraint or conscience. No "hmm maybe I shouldn't do this cause it isn't fair". They will do it if the woman won't stand up for herself. I came to realize this b…

Dang, I'm avoidant. Used to be anxious. Working on becoming secure 👍 I heard of something called "disorganized attachment" which described me perfectly. It means you go to the same people who hurt you for comfort. So if you grew up with bad parents who still manage to make you dependent on them, you might repeat this with a partner.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/02/21 07:25 AM

Not a surprise that they behave that way. Their hearts don't really bleed for others. They'll get away with whatever minimum effort they can get away with, and if they can "get away" (meaning they won't be arrested or disowned) with ignoring a problem happening in front of them or continuing some trash behavior, they will. They will do whatever they can get away with. Every single one. There is no such thing as "treat others the way you want to be treated" with them.

Oh trust me "ugly" is not the only word I have for them. 99% of these anime characters they lust after are underaged. And for some reason its seen as normal. I'm so sick of it. We want to progress forward but hentai/2D-wife culture is setting us back, and creating a bunch of depraved, disgusting, and utterly hideous scrotes. Just because they're not real girls does not make it okay. It doesn't mean it's not pedophilia. It's not okay. It's not it's not it's not.

It is too risky to have a child with a man. I am childfree because of the sacrifice that comes with raising a child as well as the risk that comes with starting a family with a man in this society. I think social media is the worst kind of poison for a relationship. Especially if people are using it to let the whole world know their business. I do. I dont see a point in bringing a child into this world. It's not a great place to be, and I feel like people just do it cause other people are doing it, not necessarily because they want to raise a child. I think adoption is a better option. I'm childfree, but if I werent, I still wouldnt have a biological child.

War of Hormone is a mess. People are still convinced that BTS arent misogynistic. The society they grew up in and the industry they are a part of is cruel to girls, and they didnt "apologize" for the lyrics until they were called out on it. I dont know how fans managed to convince themselves that they are woke feminists. It's all for show.

Sometimes I have to stop myself from going on that sub, cause the comments always make me lose faith in humanity. Its filled with people who either lack empathy, are pickmes, or have never been in a relationship so they give advice based on shit they see in movies, cause they think life is a movie, and for that reason, they will never get over the idea of a woman daring to demand some sort of respect.

They just want to convince young, never married, childless women to take on even more labor in a relationship so he doesnt have to unpack and sort through any of his baggage. Instead of expecting single dads to get their lives in order, you instead make them seem desirable so they dont have to do any work. They are LV to me, not because they are dads, cause that would be crazy, but because it's too much baggage and I refuse to be a stepmom.

Maybe it doesnt say that women have to sit on the floor, but their inferior status is implied everywhere. A man is allowed to beat his wife if she disobeys him for ffs. I've been a Muslim, so I know how far a Muslim will go to justify the unjustifiable. They will do 1 million mental backflips if they have to. Mohammed married a child and raped her (cause you dont have sex with a child and not call it rape). So what if the man has to pay for everything? Is that really such an advantage to you? Th…

They think every woman should be unconfident. The attractive ones cause they want them, and can't have them dare to stand up for themselves or have standards, and the unattractive ones cause women aren't allowed to think they are worth anything if a guy doesn't want them.

It's definitely a step in the right direction. What I don't like is them pretending like they never realized the problem until now. They knew the whole time. Seeing stuff from the perspectives of the people with dead exes made me disappointed. None of them feel the need to heal or respect their current partner, and have no problem wasting their time or making the relationship a relationship of 3. I think men benefit more from it. But they try to gaslight women by saying that their relationship problems have to do with their inability to please their man or their "too high" standards. They have found a way to make women compromise their values and feelings in order to get married, while men benefit from it, while still convincing women that this is what they want. I'm starting to think they just throw that word around to manipulate people. When women love, they are all in with that person. They care about them and put so much effort into the relationship. They don't just wake up one day and decide they love someone else. We think that love and care go hand in hand. As for men, a girl fills in the role they are looking for, so they "love" her, but she can be easily changed for someone else and suddenly they claim to love this other person. All they do is t…

I think so too. Nobody is pushing them to be better, and now the burden is on the women to bring something to the table. The same culture that started the whole concept of "basic bitch", shitting on a girl for being ordinary, not even doing anything bad, just being normal. And their definition of this normal which is supposed to be bad is...owning an iPhone? Drinking pumpkin spice latte? Wtf? I don't even know how that started. I guarantee a guy just saw a girl enjoying her life minding her own business, and had a huge problem with it. Just another way to get girls to hate themselves and strive to impress others.

I really hope so. It's extra hard when the thing that is damaging my soul and my spirit is the expectations of society to just carry all the burdens. Trying to look in myself for validation when 90% of the world seems to be against that is so hard. Takes a lot of introspection and strength but it's worth it when you get to the point where don't let anyone, and especially not a partner, try to break your spirit.

It seems easy enough, but what do you do about guys that are considered "good" by everyone but make you feel so unlovable and worthless? Like you know you're not happy with him but because you seem to be the only one who feels what he's doing is wrong so you stay to not be the "wrong" or "insecure" one. Sometimes the feeling of isolation makes the obvious thing to do seem not so obvious.

Lol he's saying the word "deserve" as if being single is a bad thing. Sounds like someone got rejected. I love how he's telling the girls to make the first move cause "if you like someone make the first move instead of waiting", but he doesn't put that standard on the men cause he doesn't want to have to prove himself. The hypocrisy. Problem is there are girls who would try to prove themselves, the pick mes, but men don't want them, they want the ones that don't approach them so they're annoyed.

This is why the whole idea of a guy changing is sold as a fantasy in movies. Because it is not a real thing. Women do change for men all the time. It's not unknown or unheard of. Definitely. I can count on one hand how many guys I've been attracted to in real life. And it's gotten worse since FDS. Now I don't crush on anybody. Even if they are hot. Cause LVM behavior is LVM behavior, and it's ugly. Also realizing how misogynistic our society really is. I'm as dry as a desert.

When men say wife or the wife it's like they don't even like their partner. It reminds me of those petty fights I would have with my siblings when we refuse to refer to each other by our names and just say "her" or "him" or even "that". We could say each other's names but we were too petty and prideful. It's like when men say female instead of woman or girl.

I totally get it. Also it drives me crazy when people say you need to "find" love as if there is only one kind and you don't have it unless you are with a man. I also don't want to hide my vulnerable side and be unavailable just so a man can chase me. If this guy is so great, why can't I comfortably be myself and not worry that he will get bored and leave? I reached a decent level of self love, but I also ended up giving up on relationships completely. That's just me though. I just don't see it …

5000x happier. I never wanted to be in a relationship, and now I am more comfortable with that decision because I stopped seeing men as these perfect beings we have to impress and base our worth on their acceptance of us. I am easily manipulated, so I bought into the mainstream ideals of relationships and sex. I had no boundaries and wanted to be as much of a "nice" girl as possible. I was also a giant pick-me. Divorces are because of people. Anyone who uses divorce statistics as an excuse to hate marriage don't have a sense of accountability. It's not a game of luck. Its not like divorce just falls on any random couple at any time. Their relationship didn't work out. It's entirely up to the people in the marriage. I think there are a lot of people who should divorce.

I've experienced it from my grandfather. He's the only dad I know out of the men in his generation who isn't cruel to his daughters. Not just that, he dotes on them and protects them. Treats them equally to his sons, which is very rare where I come from. My mom, despite being married someone who doesn't give a shit, has a man she can count on. The fact that he thinks its enough to just "support" her and he doesn't think he should be working is just... Like he still thinks that everything she is doing is her job. Even so-called "good" guys will waste your time if you don't assert yourself. Why would they break up with someone they can use with no consequence? The second one really speaks to me. When someone says they will stay single, people will ask them "why do you hate love" or "why don't you want love in your life" as if romantic love is the only kind there is. What about the love people have for their family, friends and kids and pets? I'd argue that romance is the worst kind of love. It has the ability to cause so much pain and you have to be so careful. This is a reason why I think its better to have the mentality of assuming he's a POS until proven otherwise. There is no benefit to giving people the benefit of the doubt because at worse you could be killed, and at best you have someone with a fucked up sense of humor. Both are terrible.

For real. They don't see a person, they see something that can be done for them. I'd be worried about them even if they are looking for marriage. Some are just looking for a wife, not a woman who will become their wife. They don't see her person. They don't plan on being a good husband though, cause they are too focused on making sure the woman is as good of a wife as possible, cause that's all she is to him. It's all taking and no giving from them.

I've been called all these things by narcissistic family members. I now realize how manipulative they were being and even though I've never dated, I'd like to see a guy TRY to call me these words. You also find that people like them use the word "selfish" a lot, to describe someone who demands to be treated with respect. Thats off putting and they have too much free time imo. I've seen something like this on Gossip Girl. Except even worse than just pretending. The guy flirts with another girl and then the girlfriend comes and fights her pretending to be mad. In this case an innocent woman is being exploited for some dumb kink.

Stop focusing on pleasing others and straighten that spine out. That's my problem. Literally, anything people say can send me into a panic. The problem with these women is that they will have genuinely good intentions, but they expect to be rewarded for the "kindness" they give to undeserving people. Back in my pick-me days, I would dream of meeting a terrible man to who I can be "good" so he would like me and change. A form of approval-seeking behavior. Some people want to be the "main chick" so bad. Even feeling flattered that he "went back" to them after cheating. Sickness.

Definitely agree. I see this among women I know. A guy will decide to do something, whether it is to cheat or try and get with another woman, then his wife will leave because she can't tolerate it. He didn't explicitly break up with her, but he decided to do something that hurt the woman, and she ended the relationship because she got hurt. Sometimes I wonder why these men don't just end the relationship and spare their partners the pain. It's like they want to stir the pot on purpose.
