Yeah, I wondered the same thing, I know there have been multiple studies that show that women’s happiness has declined heavily over the last 35 years like this. Which is kind of ironic because the book that virtually started the feminist movement in the 60’s(the feminine mystique) was basically built on the trend of unhappy women. This actually summarizes what I think of him quite well. In that he gets half the equation right. Men aren’t given the purpose or guidance they need to succeed. However I always thought he missed the other end of the same problem, which is that women are virtually handed everything for free.
