Buddhism gave me a sort of ‘grounding’ in life. I found MGTOW before practicing Buddhism, and while the community here is great, I feel more settled inside with both. MGTOW = helps keep me from old patterns of seeking mates Buddhism = helps me understand suffering, and the path to eliminate suffering.

Well said. A friend of mine asked me over the holidays why I’m not interested in dating someone older than me (I’m 29), and I said “I don’t wanna be the guy the girl settles for.” His wife was there and that conversation changed subjects quickly lol

For me, I follow the golden rule of treating others how I want to be treated. Which of course makes women not want me, or only as a beta guy (which I am beta). But I am okay with that because I enjoy having my freedom and money, and not having the baggage that comes with relationships.

This is actually a meditation exercise Buddhists use to help reduce lust in the moment. Visualize the parts of the body ranging from their feces, to food being broken down in the stomach and other bodily fluids. Intensely focus on these items and it helps to combat lust for a woman.

So you just buy some land with utilities, and install the fabricated house? Sounds pretty cool. I’d be happy with a small house with a garage, but most houses these days are built so big. And the smaller ones tend to be too old or in the ghetto.

You want another level of MGTOW? Don’t let this annoy you. Annoyance is a subtle feeling of suffering, but you have the capacity not to be annoyed by it. When you let those feelings go, you enter a state of mind that becomes neutral/indifferent to things that used to bother you. Eventually that leads to development of constant feelings of happiness. Then joy.

It’s not worth the effort to live a lie. Lying isn’t good for anybody including yourself. Just be honest, kind, keep your distance from women. I think thatll go a lot further than pretending to be gay.

In my opinion, having nihilism as a guide can lead to a slippery slope of harmful actions that lead to suffering. For instance, if nothing matters, then one would be more inclined to drink, take drugs, to temporarily induce a state of false happiness. Or lie all the time to get things you want, causing suffering for self and others. Whereas, if you lead a life cultivating good for self and others, believing in reducing suffering can help make things better on everyone. You don’t even need to be …

The best we can do when disagreeing with the hunter mentality is to show the hunters compassion, and live a life devoted to doing no harm. Killing has consequences whether we try to ignore it or not. Do the best we can not to show judgment, and live according to our values.

Hey OP, I’m a vegan and this is a sub that doesn’t really have a positive view on it. There are a few here, but when everyone is against your opinion it makes it harder to post your views. That’s the beauty about going your own way though, this is my choice!

Just going through this now. Best friend from high school, we always kept in touch now 10 years later. He got married last year and he won’t return my texts. The emptiness is hard, but since going MGTOW I realized you don’t need anything outside your self to find happiness. It’s a cliche, but happiness really does come from within.

Here are a few verses from The Dhammapada that may help you, friend: Let go of the past, let go of the future, let go of the present, and cross over to the farther shore of existence. With mind wholly liberated, you shall come no more to birth and death. For a person tormented by evil thoughts, who is passion-dominated and given to the pursuit of pleasure, his craving steadily grows. He makes the fetter strong, indeed. He who delights in subduing evil thoughts, who meditates on the impurities an…

I suggest to think on this carefully friend. I did 5 years, and let me tell you my views on the military and life changed dramatically. It’s not such an easy thing to walk out of if that happens. Frankly, I felt I was in prison. I didn’t feel good what I was doing, and after learning about Right Livelihood (Buddhism), I began to understand why I felt so. I’m not telling you should or shouldn’t do it. Just be cautious in putting yourself in a situation similar to mine.

The Dhammapada is the words of the Buddha as a sort of guide to learn the Noble Eightfold Path (Buddha’s teachings on how to eliminate suffering). Anyone can read it, as it’s easily-digestible but one of those things you should regularly study. I’m not an expert on Buddhism at all, but I think this the Dhammapada is a wonderful tool. MSM = mainstream media. Anything that’s ‘pushed out’ for the masses. So while I love music, I try to avoid many pop artists (not hard to do lol), movies (especially…

Absolutely. A couple of versus from The Dhammapada come to mine: Slave to their desires men run down the streams just as a spider runs into the net he himself has spun. Steadfast persons retire from the world when they have cut the bond, and leaving all sorrow behind they look not behind. (347) In order to awaken, we must learn to extinguish desire. I believe an important step into actualizing this is to stop consuming alcohol, limit MSM consumption, become debt-free, and not to associate with t…

The story is unfolding at the moment, so it’s hard to say. She snapchats my step-mom ‘girls night out’ pics, some with her wedding ring removed. The soon-to-be exwife is a very vindictive person and I would assume she’d do everything in her power to go after him, unless she is so checked out she wants nothing to do with everything. My family asks all the time why I’m single, and yet everyone in my family has been impacted by situations like this.

This stuff doesn’t just happen to online strangers, everyone. My brother’s wife left him for a bad-boy ex-convict heroin user who just got out of prison. They have 2 children and were married 7 years (also about the typical length of time we talk about on this sub). Go your own way.

I agree to treat people with kindness, but respect is earned. Also, this sub far-from cherry picks the worst case scenarios. They happen too regularly to ignore, and this is a place to talk about these issues because we can’t really do that in real life or any other forum. That said, this post breaks the rules and will probably be taken down. We are going our own way and that’s what we like to do. Be well.

Hey, man. You’re about my dad’s age and sometimes I worry about him. My parents divorced 15 years ago and he remarried. His current wife has her own children who’ve had illegitimate children (one of which he is raising his step grand-daughter), their drug problems, high school drop outs, etc. he calculates his retirement age based on when step grandchild turns 18. I agree that what we know came from the past, and we humans have the gift to predict the future to a certain extent. However, I believe past/future is illusion, because no matter what happens it only exists in the mind. We can’t will the past/future to the current moment.
/r/MGTOW25/07/19 02:06 AM

You have to let go of that fear. That is your ego talking...not wanting to be ‘average.’ Continue to strive for whatever suits you in the moment, but really understand that we are all going to end up six feet under and eventually forgotten. If you approach this mindset, not from a nihilistic perspective, but as a perspective of reality itself, I think you’ll be alright.

Hey. Professional musician here. I don’t know how far you are in, but avoid college debt at all cost. I took a sizable student loan by the end of my Masters and it put me in a position where I had no other options to go in (military). I went to my dream school, and while it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but the reality is it is very difficult to make a living outside military. Things also change. I don’t really have the same passion I once did for music. Now, I could definitely see myself…

I don’t make much. But I still save and invest over half my income all the while earning dividends, winning with compound interest in my Roth IRA, 401k matching contributions, etc. I live a modest lifestyle, but someone like her would say the same, that I’m not “going anywhere in life.” She would probably think I’m living paycheck to paycheck based on my lifestyle alone. There were a few reasons why I suspect it happened like that. Her family has money, and her parents still supported her even after college. She probably met someone else, as we were long distance at the time. I barely was able to get her to even sign the divorce papers because of how little she wanted to deal with the situation. I think she felt shame from the whole situation, as she later told me she was too young (23 then) to be married...also true. In the end, I am so happy things turned out …

I’m one of the lucky ones. Married < 1 year, no kids, no joint assets, she ghosted and didn’t want anything. And people ask me at my unit why I don’t try to date coworkers. There was a girl at work who claims she was sexually assaulted by a Private in the barracks, and there was no evidence so I’m pretty sure nothing happened. I tried nofap for almost 60 days, and all it made me do is to want girls like you wouldn’t believe. You do you, but it didn’t work for me. Sure thing. Being in the military, not having to provide for others dramatically improves your experience. Because you have to move every few years if you’re Active Duty, it puts a huge strain on families. I grew up in that environment, too. But if you’re MGTOW, the moving isn’t nearly as dramatic. If you follow the cardinal rules on this sub (1) never marry (2) never cohabitate (3) never have children, it gives you room to breathe at the end of the day and recover. I enjoy my job during the day…

Lower enlisted here. Married for the ‘right reasons’ and that still didn’t matter. Luckily we got divorced quickly and went our separate ways without children. Lesson learned and going my own way. Once you are content with what you have in the barracks, it isn’t so bad.

Hey, man. I’m happy you are reaching out for this kind of problem. I would advise you first to seek professional help, but here are my thoughts. You are not depressed because of a girl. You are depressed because of you. How you respond to events, including your perception and the actions you take, largely determines your state of mind...not the events themselves. That said, it sucks. We’ve all been there. It’s okay to feel this way. Don’t mask your feelings with alcohol, please. Alcohol is a dep…

Being mgtow in the military is pretty awesome, imo. Even as a lower-enlisted pleb I have a great lifestyle with enough money for toys (video games and motorcycles for me), investments, and saving for retirement. And a sweet retirement pension and super cheap health care for life (about $300 a year I think). The career is obviously not without its headaches, but I enjoy my job.

He’s a lower-rank enlisted Army guy. There is a huuuuge incentive to get married so they can get out of the barracks and get a sizable housing stipend. I was in his position a few years ago, except she wasn’t big, and I luckily got divorced before anything too crazy happened. Then I learned about MGTOW, and life has been great ever since. Maybe he’ll go on a similar path...sometimes we need to fall before we can get on our feet.

Really, I think it comes down to do what you like. In my case, it started off as a dietary experiment and I learned I’m sensitive to dairy. Then I took out meat and liked how it made me feel. Then my perspective changed to a moralistic stand-point which I try not to talk about unless someone asks. But yea, vegan restaurants are awesome. I don’t eat out much, but it’s a nice treat. Mixing it up is fun. I like it when meat eaters do things like ‘meatless Monday’s.’
/r/MGTOW29/03/19 07:23 AM

I haven’t, but that severe depletion of protein is probably pretty rare. There are tons of alternative sources of protein (nuts, beans, tofu, lentils, etc), and I think I get enough. It’s been almost 2 years since my diet change and I am able to perform the same level physically (I’m in the military). So far so good!
/r/MGTOW28/03/19 01:04 PM

It wasn’t right, but it is what it is. If someone did that to me I would be very upset. But it if you treat others with compassion and not hostility, that situation would rarely happen.

Maybe, but that also happens to everyone. Aging, illness, and death. Maybe I’ll succumb to a nasty disease before all that. Maybe I’ll live to be really old and have mental problems because of my diet choice, but in the end we all die.

This is anecdotal, but here is an example of a vegan who is over 100 years old now. I believe what he says, that vegans can get by with taking a little b12 and live a healthy life.

Hey man, vegan chiming in here. That definitely is the stereotype because loud people get noticed. Most I’ve talked to online are actually hesitant to talk about their choice of being vegetarian/vegan, because of that stereotype. For me, I only talk about it when people ask me and I keep it brief. I don’t care what others eat (though it does make me happy if someone eats less/no meat), and it’s not a supperiority complex. I just don’t wanna eat animal products.

I’ve been thinking lately...how do we know we are NPCs or not? Especially considering the possibility that we might live in a simulation. We see the stereotype of what an NPC is, and a lot of that stems from their lack of self-awareness. If we think we are aware, but we only have this physical reality to cultivate that awareness, then what’s to say we aren’t NPCs outside of this medium? A fish only knows water, after all. Anyway, cool video lol.

Anger is a useful tool to learn things. Some things you just figure out aren’t worth doing any more. I’m a MGTOW who might go on the occasional date with someone, but at a certain point situations frequently turn out the way yours did. For me, the juice is rarely worth the squeeze. I maintain that living simply is one of my values, and complicated scenerios that you went through are not part of my plan. Just let go and move on with your life. It sucks to be angry over something this small.

Such an honorable thing you did for your grandparents. It seems you’ve had your MGTOW priorities straight that entire time, and that is great because you developed a wonderful relationship with them all the while avoiding what most men make the mistake of getting involved in. Oh, man. From personal experience, this is probably not a good sign. One time, I slept with a girl who had a boyfriend (back in my BP days, I tried to ‘steal’ her because I thought I loved her...the guilt afterwards got to me, but I forgave myself). I remember after several hours of her not texting him, seeing her phone blow up with messages. She told him she “crashed on his [my] couch” and he believed her. This is a fast-growing sub with a lot of newcomers discovering the philosophy for themselves, many of which come here to vent about bad experiences with women. Use your frustrations as an opportunity for your own growth. Whenever something like this happens next time, just watch what exactly is going on in front of you (this includes watching your thoughts). You will learn it is not the other party making you angry, it is your thoughts, which is an illusion. If you ‘try’ to make yourself calm, that will not work. You let yourself become calm by this observation technique. It’s like you are just a video camera floating in space that doesn’t react to any…

Also, “the fool who persists in their folly will become wise.” Sometimes men have to go so deep into the BP and go back into the plantation, that they really learn what it’s all about. If they get lured back by these shills, so be it. That is something they must do. I know for me, it took a few hard lessons to learn how to go my own way not out of anger, but from self-love.

Best thing to spread the MGTOW message is to embody it every day, month after month, year after year. When you reflect an example of what your ideal looks like, people become curious and will come to you, but only when they are ready to wake up. Otherwise, you get reactions like in OPs post.

This was my observation on vacation last week. Many girls would make their “boyfriend” take photos of her. One couple ended up taking photos for about an hour, as she laughed at him for not having certain camera angles right. They did this for about an hour and left, spending no time not taking photos. The rest who didn’t have a boy around had selfie sticks and would just go in the water to take the selfie, and promptly leave.

And they go together. You would not know one without the other. You would not know what man was without woman and vice versa. You wouldn’t know cold if you didn’t know hot. They are inseperable. This is why we need people in our lives who get married, divorced, have kids, blow money on women, etc. Without them, you wouldn’t know you are MGTOW. If you approach MGTOW with this perspective, the hate and/or rage will dissolve, and you are even more free to go your own way.

This is my only counterpoint to nihilism, because nihilism is an exhausting and miserable way to live. I encourage you to sit down and meditate more with these thoughts and see where they go. Don’t judge them. Don’t grasp them. Just watch them pass by like a cloud. Where do clouds go? They just cloud around. As human…

Just take a step back from all of this, and breathe. Take another deep breath. The knee-jerk reaction you’ve had while under the influence of psychedelics has indeed comes from your mind being opened. It’s shocking what you discover when this happens. I’ve been there. But it’s not open enough. When you realize things are perfect the way they are now, there is no need for anger. Anger only fuels your suffering and pushes you into going back to sleep. Fully accept the situation you are in, includi…

Your life isn’t a lie. The circumstances surrounded your birth are unfortunate, but you are you right now in this moment. That means everything that happened in the past is an illusion, and the only thing that is ‘real’ is your current direct experience. If you choose not to forgive them, or yourself, for having these rightfully justified feelings, you won’t be able to move on. Forgiveness allows us to let go of what was, so that we can learn to be.

I’ve experienced this first thing at work, and didn’t realize it was a thing. The men would stay at work trying to find something to do, when everyone else was gone. They didn’t need to be there. Just so they had more time for themselves. Here I’m thinking, “the moment I don’t have a peaceful place to go to at the end of the day, is the moment I leave everything.”

Same thing happened to me. Six months after we got married, she decided she wanted out, although didn’t explicitly say it. We were long distance for a bit. Our phone calls dwindled down, became cold and distant. One time she said she’d been thinking about The Notebook (I am military), and knew that was bad news. Luckily like the OP, everything was split and that was the end of us. After discovering MGTOW, I learned how lucky I was. Of course she tells me she is seeing someone casually shortly af…

This is so important to living a deeply fulfilled life, because our entire lives have essentially consisted of others telling us who we are. Whether it is the media, your parents, your closest friends and romantic relationships. When you go off into the woods with nothing but your own thoughts, and maybe some basic camping gear, you really tune in to your inner self.

Were you at Jackson? I kind of miss that area tbh. But yea, almost everyone I know in my unit has been divorced, myself included. When you go MGTOW in the military, it can be a pretty sweet lifestyle. The stresses of the job dissolve each evening when you have peace and quiet to yourself. Even as an enlisted guy, the pay and benefits are fantastic when you aren’t spending half your check on someone else.

This is more less how my ex wife ended things. She kept giving hints like “I’ve been thinking about that movie The Notebook,” and me freaking out (we were long distance military), talking to me less and less gradually, “forgetting” her phone overnight at work, and petty arguments where I thought I was going crazy. She didn’t have the guts to want to call off the 6 month marriage, and left it up to me to do all the heavy lifting of divorcing. I could barely get her to sign the divorce decree.

I’m in Korea for a year, and I was surprised with how Westernized Korea seemed to me, in my opinion. There are pizza ‘italian’ joints, breweries, coffee shops everywhere (moreso than US), so many ads, plastic surgery joints, exotic cars. From first hand experience, the job you choose will probably have the biggest impact on whether you (a) suffer through your first contract hating life every day, (b) tolerate the job and appreciate the benefits, or (c) love it so much you know you want to stay in. I have always been in position (b), but sometimes flirting with (a). I enjoy the job itself, and it has been rewarding many times. You make pretty good money. What is your budget like? If you can learn to let go of material things and be content in a small house, you’ll still have more than enough. Money won’t fix your problems (unless you’re in debt), but a mindset change will. If you learn to define what ‘enough’ is in your life, you’ll also learn that you can live on less than you think you need. If you do want all that big stuff, guess you will have to work more. I’m in the military too and have a similar mindset. The benefits at retirement are really the only thing I would want to have. I also try to remain in the subordinate role. I think we need more love in this world, and that includes loving women. Not in a romantic way, but a universal way. I love a tree as much as I love a woman as much as myself. Do I want to participate in the dangers of dating? No, and women/MGTOW taught me that. They also taught me to raise my own consciousness/awareness more, rather than lowering it, and become a better person.

While there are bad apples in any forum, the majority of us just don’t want to be bothered with women any more. We see the risks associated with dating in this day and age of tinder and #metoo, and don’t want anything to do with it. This is a place men go to who opt out of the game because we don’t want to play it. We want to play our own game by going whatever way we like. When we don’t have to deal with a certain kind of drama, we can focus on other things like “basic adult functions,” on top …

“It is only when we have lost everything, that we are free to do anything” I’m realizing more and more, each day, the importance of this message. “If I don’t own it, I don’t have to dust it.” It’s not just the actual cost of purchasing an item, it’s the work that goes into maintaining. Every small little thing adds up and fills our psyche in such a way, that distracts of from discovering our true inner-selves. There is little room to dwell within, as it is filled with useless Netflix shows, the …

Hey, man. It’s tough out there for sure when you go through something like that. And it takes time. You need to do you, and if playing video games for 6 hours a day is what you need, then do it without any guilt or anger. The best thing that happened to me was getting divorced, because that pushed me into such nihilism as yours, and allowed me to grow to where I am now. Where I am now is a place I would call peaceful serenity. A place of contentment for the little things, acceptance for anything…

Don’t fight your feelings. That is like going against the tide. Instead, sit with those feelings when you have a moment of solitude and feel it with every fiber of your being. Allow it to hit you like a ton of bricks. Visualize the best that could happen in your situation. Visualize the worst that may arise. So this slowly, and really experience in your mind and heart these situations. Take a deep breath, and let out all of that energy that was built up inside of you as you slowly exhale and rel…

You hit the nail on the head. That’s the ego talking. An illusion that you need to realize will influence your decisions in life. That desire in you of wanting to be missed will continue to make you suffer, no matter how small an idea it is. When you learn how to let go of that, and accept whatever comes your way, you will be set free.

Something I did to help me get over caffeine withdrawal: replace the beverage of choice with water, and take a caffeine pill of similar dosage. Do that for a few days, then gradually reduce the dosage by halving the pill over the next weeks or however long it takes. I just drink decaf coffee occasionally now and I enjoy the taste. Never had an issue quitting soda, though.

I like to blend in and not stick out as MGTOW. An easy go-to for questions like this is, “I don’t know. I haven’t found the right person.” Or better yet, in my case I was married for a very short time in my mid-20s, so I’ll say, “I already tried it once. Didn’t like it.” But that’s only if I am closer to that person.

I’d like to play devil’s advocate with this whole "NPC” thing. To me, referring to other human beings such as this will lead to even more division and hatred among us. If you choose to stereotype someone by their actions and what they look like, you will tend to give yourself a sense of separation and superiority to them. You will treat them differently, and not for the better. I believe everyone is on their own path that they need to go through in that particular moment of their lives. Whether …

Turn that thought around. Do you give a fuck about you? If not, ask yourself why. If you do give a fuck about you, that means someone gives a fuck about you. When you do give a fuck about yourself, and grow your self-love, feelings of being alone tend to go away. When you don’t respond with their energy they give off, and be courteous yourself, it really does drive them mad haha. I don’t do that to make them mad, because it’s similar to being on their level. I do it out of compassion and to express my truth, and if they don’t like it that’s too bad. The best is when they ask you about your choices, you present your reasoning, and they still try to shame/guilt trip you or call you out on it. I usually throw the, “that’s just like, uhh, your opinion, man.”

One girl I cheated with who had a fiancé, still ended up marrying him 6 months later. I was trying to be exclusive with her in the hopes that they would break up (thankfully this didn’t happen), and her words, “steer clear from me. I’m very good at separating the emotional from the physical,” shook me. It still baffles me.

I used to think how extreme his story was when I was younger. Abandoning everything to obtain enlightenment...it all seemed like such a fairy tale. Oddly, it makes complete sense to me why a man would want to do this. This is the path of MGTOW, and everyone’s is different. When we learn to let go of worldly attachments, we can choose to participate in the game of life if we want...or not.

I’ve been married once. And it was even a relatively ‘painless’ divorce (she ghosted, which was nice financially). I love being MGTOW now because it takes off the stupid pressure to have a family and raise a bunch of kids mentality. My Dad still thinks I’ll dive in that arena again. No, thanks.

Not true about no vegan animals. Gorillas are essentially vegans, rhinos, hippopotamus, horses, Wildebeast, and more. They may be able to digest meat in emergency situations, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they were ‘made’ to consume meat. Personally, I find the diet to be a healthy way of life to significantly lower risk of heart disease which is the number 1 killer in the US. It doesn’t destroy your body if you are smart about it (coke and Oreos are vegan). Here is a prime example of someon…

It really depends, and just as how there are different philosophies in within the same religions, you decide how you approach something. Buddhism can be a lot of what you describe, but I’ve learned that you can also participate in the ‘real world’ fully while understanding that it’s all a game. I’ve personally decided to take the latter approach and continue working my job, investing, having hobbies, making mistakes, and still practice what the Buddha taught.

Columbia is pretty bad for sure. Although, I have personally seen some who claim to be vets, who’s “brother died in another city, his car has a flat, and needs $ for bus.” This Air Force “veteran” had the vet hat, drove the handicap cart around, had me convinced until I asked to see his ID. No matter what he wouldn’t procur it. I even offered to take him directly to the funeral myself, and he declined.

Man, my Dad is about the same age as you. Despite how much he hates giving half his military retirement to my mom (he also remarried, and is supporting new wife’s 3 kids who are hard to manage), he still wants me to make my own family some day. I’ve already been divorced once after a short marriage. I’ll tell him some dreams of retirement of mine when I’m single, and he says, “well you might have a family to take care of.” Essentially dismissing what I really want to do with my life. This hits hard when you realize your whole life is programmed for these ideals, and you wake up and see the light. I told him it'd be fun to be a barista for a little while in a foreign country. He looked shocked and said, "well if you have a family you won't be able to do that." I think we should question our paths even more. We should acknowledge the hate and see the manipulative tactics at hand, but I think we should understand why they do what they do. “Forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Question even the path of MGTOW. Definitely more risks than as a civilian. For those who don’t know: military members fall under a penal code system separate from civilians. In marriage, adultery is illegal, with punishments ranging from loss of rank/pay to jail time. So if your spouse wants to press charges on you claiming you cheated on her, she can do so. However, she can sleep around and is not under the same military penal code.

Hmm. Good point about the TSP. I only put in maybe $100 a month in that (after maxing IRA and a good chunk in mutual funds), because of the new retirement system. The match is pretty cool in that. I was curious. I’d never heard that song, but then again I really dislike most of what’s put out these days. Dude...it’s so bad lol. How does that get 1.2 billion views on YouTube? It is pretty clear who the target audience is.
/r/MGTOW21/07/18 05:14 AM

She’s 22. Just let that sink it. Granted, it’s obviously a mug-shot...but! We are so used to seeing women on with layers of makeup and fakery. She would probably be extremely attractive with make-up and filters, and deceive men. This picture is what she truly looks like: nothing special.
/r/MGTOW20/07/18 09:55 PM
9

Yep. I wonder what the ration of ugly to attractive women who protest this kind of thing is.
/r/MGTOW20/07/18 09:40 PM
2

Exactly. “I want a wedding.” No mention in that post of the man at all lol. O
/r/MGTOW20/07/18 09:37 PM
2

It really is prostitution.
/r/MGTOW20/07/18 09:33 PM
7

She won’t be saying that in a few years! Then it will be time to settle down, attempt to have kids but can’t because of the damage done to her body, spend $$$ on IVF, cheat on her husband because that’s what she’s used to. Eventually she won’t be able to afford anything.

The feeling of having earned something develops character. When people do things like this, living life on easy mode, it has consequences on their mind, soul, and body. Nobody can have this lifestyle without suffering post-wall (or even during the excursions)...and then what? You are used up, have no real skills, and die with unsatisfaction. I would rather earn $30k a year for the rest of my life on an honest living, then make $100k+ From selling my soul.
/r/MGTOW20/07/18 01:01 PM
3

Exactly. No one wants to breathe poor quality air, global warming or no.
/r/MGTOW20/07/18 11:40 AM

I’ve been wondering about this lately. In my case, I’ve had several ex girlfriends try to be ‘friends’ or stay in touch even years later. Or they’d be girls I had a fling with and are now married. We’d be geographically separated by sometimes thousands of miles. What is their end game?
/r/MGTOW20/07/18 05:44 AM
3

Dude, you’re so right. I just got a roommate for the next year and I already dislike it. He’s fine, is quiet, responsible, friendly too. But there’s such a huge difference mentally in having your own space, and having the feeling of your private space being invaded.
/r/MGTOW20/07/18 05:37 AM

My first thought was also “Jesus.” Neat.

This makes more sense to me. I’m pretty ignorant on the matter, but it makes sense for the climate to change on it’s own over time. I know we are currently still in an ice age technically.

What's even the point of marriage in this case?
/r/MGTOW19/07/18 05:52 AM

I sort of disagree. Sometimes that sexual energy is extremely useful in getting important things done, pending on how one uses it.

I wish I could upvote this 100 times. This should be a sticky. The most important concept in MGTOW is detachment in the broadest sense of the meaning. Buddha says that life is suffering, and that we can mitigate suffering if we learn how to detach from all worldly things.

This also reinforces AWALT more. Women who claim they don’t cheat, can accidentally easily cheat at the drop of a hat and try to blame it on their partner.

I think these days the words “sexist,” “bigot,” etc. are watered down. Now they are designed to shame someone who doesn’t follow their agenda. You can just be single your whole life while being kind to everyone, and still be called a sexist lol.
/r/MGTOW18/07/18 07:39 AM

Good points. Looking back, I could have phrased it better and I honestly wasn’t trying to be a dick about it lol. But, what’s done is done.

Yea, I could have phrased it better.

Absolutely. I know a girl who said she’s “very good at separating the emotional from the physical,” and to “stear clear from me.” Her words when I pursued her even though she had a boyfriend (back in my blue pilled days). We still became intimate and eventually had sex, and she married him anyway. Huge wake-up call for me.

Ask yourself, “why have I always dreamt of raising kids and having a wife?” And I mean, really go into this question. I used to think I did too, until I was about 26. Thank god I came to the realization that MGTOW is the way I want to live my life without kids or a spouse, and I didn’t realize it too late. It may take you a long time to realize what you want to, and in the mean time ALWAYS protect yourself. Wear condoms every time, and be careful about who you date (this is actually a good time …

Hey, you sound kind of like my Dad (he’s 55, had 3 sons, divorced my mom over a decade ago, grew apart from us geographically, caring). He has no relationship with his first born son, due to my brother’s controlling and abuse wife...which is funny because my brother followed in my dad’s footsteps to be in the Air Force. My dad has no relationship with my middle brother because of his troubled self-created past. I’m the only one who talks to him and tries to see him as much as possible. We have d…

My Dad is a great dad, and I fortunately have a good relationship with him. However, he was gone a lot for his work (military) and they got divorced when I was in high school. After which, I lived with my Mom. Thankfully, he taught me enough to figure out how to be my own man. It took a long time to go MGTOW, and although my dad is blue pilled, I still respect and love him. My mom always, and I mean always to this day shames his entire being, and that’s affected me. I can’t imagine where I would…

Been there, man. Lessons learned too. I’ve lead at least 3 girls to cheat either on their bf’s or fiancés. Both married their fiancés and they never found out. I’m not doing that kind of shit anymore, because I always felt guilty. It’s funny though, the it’s only the girls I was in a fling with would still text me to this day but my LTRs ghosted.

Hey man, I got you! Married 6 months, then she wanted to split lol. You could get it annulled depending on your state (mine wouldn’t allow it, because we “consummated” the marriage..stupid). That would be awesome if you could. Find an attorney. My ex didn’t get anything. As long as you have no marital debts (which I think would be split 50/50) or property/kids, you should be good. Just act fast and seriously get an attorney. It may suck to shell out $1000 but it’s better safe than sorry. Hit me …

Listen to this guy. It doesn’t matter what others think. YOU like it. In my opinion, that’s a great hobby that is healthy and productive. People who say that’s a girl hobby, or call you a pussy...ask them why it makes you so. Question yourself if you tell yourself you’re a pussy. “What is a pussy?” “Oh, it’s just a social construct designed to shame and control people.” And then you can laugh at it.

We had a pretty similar situation, although you had more info than I do. Joined the Army in 2014, married college sweetheart in 2015, she ghosts me 6 months into marriage while she finishes college out of state. Found out she was ‘seeing someone casually’ conveniently a month after we split up. Luckily, she was good to me in the sense that she was completely out of the picture. I see it already in my 3 and 5 year-old nieces. They have EVERYTHING. Every toy you can think of, attention. They will probably be attractive blondes when that time comes. I already see that entitlement attitude in them sometimes, that they ‘want it’...whatever toy they see. Not to mention being raised in front of an iPhone/ipad/TV screen having the Disney princess propaganda melting their brains. I love them, but some day I may not :(

It can be tough, man. I used to get obsessed with girls as much as the next guy. I think what’s helped me the most is to study MGTOW ideas to the point where your reason trumps feelings/chemicals. Build that discipline up of letting your higher self be in control of your lower self, not vise versa.
/r/MGTOW05/07/18 02:31 AM

Yea, eventually you get used to it. I just went to the movies, and saw a coworker. He asked if I was alone and I said yes, which lead to a weird vibe coming from him. Usually I see people more in this scenario than being annoyed. But, fuck it! Who cares?

Duuuude get off now! Online dating is dreadful. Any website. Women get matched with the hottest guys, men get matched with the scraps. In my recent understandings, women won’t respect nonchads they meet online, because it sends a message that the guy isn’t successful with women. I have one that I just leave open after the initial set up, but I already wasted time and money.

That sounds similar to the D.A.R.E. Propaganda in the 90s. “Marijuana is a gateway drug.” “Sexbots can normalize pedophila.” The study was by a woman. I’d be curious to read if a men would come to a similar conclusion. I personally probably wouldn’t indulge in this, but others will.

Hey man, I’m not a mental health professional whatsoever, but I’ve been down that road before. You should seek counsel if you need to. Anyway, it can be pretty horrible. You have to ask yourself, “why am I depressed? Who is it that is depressed?” You get this sense of separation, and you can analyze your problems from a rational perspective. Another bit I highly recommend is to meditate daily, if not for 5 minutes. Just sit, and allow yourself to feel those feelings. You can’t trick yourself to …

I agree. MGTOW to me is not about hate. We need to have compassion for all beings. If we have that in our hearts and our actions, going our own way is much more meaningful.

This just reminded me. My college sweetheart and I were together for a couple years, and she was a freshman when we started dating. She told me she was a virgin. When I got to second base she started crying, so I stopped. Eventually when we had sex for the first time, it didn’t seem like a big deal down there. I wonder what sort of lies were hidden there. Shocker: she broke up with me junior year because she wanted to sleep around (I think most my exes did this lol), and she has hinted that she …

That sounds really interesting, man. I’m wanting to go back to school in a few years (I’ll have the GI Bill, so tuition is no problem). I’m pretty much feeling like a blank slate and looking to research as much I can in different professions to see what might fit. What do you plan on doing with your degree? I want a job where I can provide something for humanity, that isn’t so specialized to restrict me on career options/salary, lucrative...although that’s not a huge deal, and allows me the opti…

Thank you for your story. My Dad was born in 1963 also, and got divorced...with my Mom getting alimony for life and half his retirement from the military for life. He remarried again about 7 years ago and is being destroyed over and over again (I think his new wife is fine, but the step children wreck his stuff, and one keeps getting pregnant with baby daddies at 19). So now he chooses to be the step Granddad to these unwanted babies, paying for all their stuff, etc. At one point he told me he w…

It’s like these women stick to a pattern no matter what until it no longer benefits them. Maybe in your case she cared about you enough to tell you that, which is honorable. I

I think that moment, which was a couple years ago, is still sinking in. It’s such a mindfuck. I wish all women were that honest, no matter how vile the behavior. At least then men could have a better chance at going their own way.

I was shitty. Messed up in some ways. And you’re right, we do need less men enabling them. To do more good and less harm in the world.

Yep. We legally got married first for benefits. Then we were planning the wedding when she says, “all of this is so stupid.” She decides she wants out, but wouldn’t come out and say it. I was going through so much turmoil just to understand what was going on. She ghosted after the talk, and I even had a hard time getting her lawyer tracking her down for divorce paper work. Wouldn’t respond to relevant calls or texts. I was just glad to have finally gotten the signatures and to put it all behind …

You’re totally right. And now she is essentially using the guy she married for babies and benefits. I forgot to mention she said two things to me while things were heated. She says, “I’m very good at separating my emotions from the physical.” And, “steer clear from me.” That was honesty right there. But her husband will never know.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
