Redpill is “dead” because it’s mainstream now. Gen Z has all of this in their vocab now. It won. There’s no need for acting like this is some tucked away corner of the internet. Everything claiming “redpill” now is just trying to claim the brand for something entirely different (or for personal gain). Probably safe for young men reading this to integrate the old stuff and move on with their lives.

Frame doesn’t mean you always get your way, rather that you’re willing to walk away. You don’t need someone else to follow. You are going in a direction and inviting someone to join you or not

That’s great about #2. Don’t feel guilty about needing people either. Humility can be our greatest strength for exactly situations like these. Funny, I have a friend who someone once said “he’s got a unibrow but he actually kind of pulls it off?” It’s shitty when someone pokes at an insecurity, even inadvertently. But the best thing you can be, even if you looked like how you want, is to own your shit. Gaslight yourself into appreciating your unattractive features. I don’t know what you look lik…

I’ve been there. Lot of similarities. For me, a few things to keep in mind eventually helped. 1. In terms of career and goals, it’s good to have goals. If you’re struggling to reach your goals, then make them smaller until you do - even laughably small. Eg send ONE email offering your services, or sign up for a course that will teach you a skill you want. Anything that lets you tangibly mark progress. For faith, it sounds like you’ve got a good roommate. Most important thing here is finding peop…

Red pill communities are dead because weirdos treat it like a religion. OP says “here’s a useful mental heuristic” and autists screech like they need a modus ponens logical flowchart Instead of being so easily disagreeable, they could’ve added some of the reasoning themselves they said this lacked?? Eager to be right instead of being useful

Finally a sane comment. Being a doormat isn’t Christlike, and thankfully you advocate for genuine wisdom and not unconditional suffering in a false sense of servant leadership, which seems to be the direction several other comments point to.

Forget all those rules. There’s only one and it hasn’t failed me. Is the person giving the advice hot (woman or man)? If not, discard opinion. Not memeing, this cuts out 90% of advice which is usually crap

For those downvoting - I suggest you read your Bible, particularly Matt 18. Go to the person in sin (he did), if they won’t listen bring in another, and if they won’t listen still bring it to the elders If you’re pressed because I suggested a woman, lol do you think she’s more receptive to two dudes talking to her or another woman who will reprimand her? Y’all gotta use your heads

The moment she refused to show you messages is the moment you needed to bring in another church leader, preferably a female one who will tell her to sort her mess out If she refuses, go to the elders. It is not overreaction. The messages may be tame but not wanting to show you her communication with a man she’s fantasizing about is as big a red flag as you’ll ever get. This could be your last warning before something even more serious happens (maybe with someone else who isn’t the teacher, bc sh…

In my experience, the better you get at putting up with BS, the less you have to. The BS will show up very very subtly before you even have an actual relationship. Nip it then and then once you’re together it will be hella smooth. Underneath it all, she just wants to know she can trust you to lead

Great initiative. One thought to add is the primacy of leadership. That’s the stand-in word for “alpha.” The first task is to lead oneself. The second is to lead one’s family, if you have one. In case of pushback, creating leaders would be a good way to pitch it to other elders. Strong men create strong families. And if your church is like any other in the west, there is a lack of single men, and this kind of program would have strong retention and attraction for them.

If EVERYONE is telling you to take them, it is strongly worth considering. But it’s serious, so talk to a doctor and tell them exactly what you said - you want stitches, not a bandaid. Another thought: if you do go in, go in with a plan to be OFF them eventually. What another poster said, maybe you feel depressed bc you have a depressing life. Or as J Peterson said, “you’re not depressed, your life just sucks.” The plan to get off is (1) identify areas A, B, and C (usually body, career, and a ro…

Dude, super interesting thought with the passive dread. I will 100% endorse that for worship leaders, since it's associated with rockstar status. The husband structure was just the story formula mentioned at the end of the Dalrock post: Of the two, the Husband Structure is the one we most commonly see today, albeit generally omitting item E or replacing it (and often D) with the wakeup call. A. Husband lives with virtuous wife B. Husband is a drunkard/gambler/wife-beater C. Wife and children suf…

My old pastor, who I really respect, is a blue pilled alpha. He has wondered out loud several times why (in his estimation) women are more spiritual than men. This was, and still is, a very masculine-oriented church, to the point that it used to be a pretty big complaint from some of the women. Like, a cussing on stage kind of place, but theologically extremely orthodox. Part of me thinks that because the pastor is very alpha and got married very young that it makes it harder for him to sympathi…

Correct. That said, woman have unfair advantages within their competition around looks since they have options around makeup, surgeries (which is shockingly a lot more common than I thought) fashion options. Men technically have many of these options, but realistically...no.

This one. I know loads of single men and women. Most of them reject each other lol. Both groups “fine” but not actually hot. No one wants to say that though, especially in tight communities. Not-hot people date all the time, they just walk through a bit more shit to get there. Usually adjusting to their own hotness level over time, just like in any other social group. Also, I went to a church years ago that was exactly the kind of place that told guys to “man up” and start asking out more women.…

You say you don’t want to spin plates, but that’s exactly what you’re doing by dating four women. To take a different tack than everyone else here, ask yourself “are my actions getting me closer to my goal of marriage or not?” Going on dates with lots of women, even simultaneously, can definitely get you closer. Then there comes a point (3-month mark?) where you essentially know if this is someone you want to pursue things further with or let them go. You DEFINITELY know by 6 months. If you know…

If you subscribe to the “beauty and the beast” paradigm where a man is wild by nature, and a charming enough woman essentially tames him, then no they don’t necessarily contradict. How true the paradigm is is another question. Def true for some people (I’ve personally witnessed it) but not a perfect analogy for all, or even most.

This is what I tried to communicate to my female friends struggling with dating. When they gave off that vibe, the only men who approach are either (1) guys unaware of social cues, or (2) guys who are aware but think “no” means “try harder.” Gave up trying to help them because it got nowhere lol

I don’t think it would be, but any attractive trait all comes down to reproductive success. Men can reproduce for a long time. Women have a shorter window, so men are attracted to traits associated with that window.

Lol what? No, brother. No. If he thinks it’s wrong to be alone with a woman in a room, he needs to either find her another place to stay or tell her not to come at all. If his standards for dating require a chaperone, and he’s not willing to make the financial sacrifice to make it happen because it’s a “waste of money” then he’s not serious about dating her. If you actually wanted to chaperone for him, that would be very generous of your time. But you are under 0.0% obligation.

In general, no, it’s not attractive. I’ve been attracted to slightly overweight women if they carry it well on their body and have genuinely pleasant personalities. Unfortunately many are insecure and overcompensate with bad attitudes, which doesn’t help. Churches can be great (or not), but real “church” is a community of believers. If you’re new, you definitely need someone to disciple you. From the Bible itself, the way “being a Christian” is done is by imitating someone else who does it well. Every believer needs that (few do it). I would only commit to a community where you have someone who will specifically disciple YOU. I like vineyard churches. But any denomination can have a mixed experience depending on the specific group. What country a…

Don't read into the names - quarterback is the traditional leader of the team in American football, since they're the ones that take the hike and throw the ball, and also can call the play (if the coach gives them room to). Linebacker is a defensive position, and their job is typically to rush the line and tackle the running backs (and some receivers). Just American football names. No idea why each is called each.

It's the exact same insecurity for men and women. Men starved of attention will still take a poor form of it. Mature men know how to spot time-wasting women. Mature women also know how to spot time-wasting men. Maturity is a minority, which is why OP thinks men are better at it, when really it's uncommon to find maturity in most men or most women.

I like this a lot. "Love your neighbor as yourself." If you do not love yourself, you will not love your neighbor. This lesson seems truer the more I see. I.e. the people I see without any sense of self-worth don't truly act out of love for others—they typically act out of the need for validation, either from the person they're "loving" or from their own belief that being good means they're worth something. • Shave • Hair. Look up styles for your hair type/length. • High-quality, fitting clothing. No more loose T-shirts. You can be skinny and still look good if the clothes fit. Everyone else said lift, and that's cool. Most important by far is attitude. Lifting helps with that, but strong masculine attitude is based on whether you feel you are in control of your life. Macho is a half-joke, not worth getting riled over, and not worth caring if your gf laughed. It's just teasing. Your friend's follow-up seems different. That seems like more of an actual insult.
