This is true. But a relationship is not a need, it’s fun when it’s around, but life is good either way. They aren’t waiting to be chosen, but being chosen sure does feel good.

Not waiting to be chosen. They are being pursued or they are focusing on other things (studies, work, friendship)

Many activists see a problem and want to do something about it. Empathy and caring about something other than themselves.

I see him maybe three or four times a month. We both know it will end eventually.

I have a FWB. I will never develop the feelings necessary for a relationship with him due to blaring incompatibilities, neither will he. We did not start as friends. He’s my friend and lover. We say I love you, because we have such care for each other. It’s not in love, its intimacy. I think it’s a special thing to have a casual relationship with intimacy.

I think it brought up abandonment issues. He said he missed me and wanted to meet up several months ago but I shut it down. I don’t know why I haven’t let him go. I’ve gone to therapy, I’ve dated, I’ve focused on myself.

Mental Health, Physical Health, Dating and Attractiveness, Finance (if you don’t make your own money, you are trapped). Women live life and struggle. We compete for love and career just as men do. If they are mothers they go through childbirth trauma. Every month we become weak and/or in pain yet we must show up as if all is well. We must conform to standards of beauty and we struggle to maintain this image. These are not options. If we don’t choose to show up, we end up alone, ill, impoverished…

Yes men’s lives are shaped by this. So are women’s, just in a different way. Women also have competition, achievement, and struggles.

Thank you for your kindness. It’s been tough with this quarantine, I don’t have my activities and friend time to interrupt the thoughts of him. Break up was nine months ago.

Thank you. You’re right, he would have been kind.

Is wanting him back humiliating? It was amazing until the end.

Seriously, why do some guys cum taste so horrible?

I miss my ex so much. Is there a high value way for me to get him back? We broke up because he got a job in another state and pushed me away by being rude.

Thank you for this. I’ve been leveling up and holding my standards. And I have had less men interested in me. It worried me for awhile. I was under the impression that when you love yourself, men want to be with you. I’m switching my focus from quantity to quality.

I feel that. I swipe left on 98% of the profiles.

This sub helped me realize I was relying on men to fulfill a need I could better fill with my female friendships. I feel more whole and bright. Good feedback!

I was so heartbroken I couldn’t date. Then things got better and I still didn’t want to meet another man. Dating is risky and my instinct to protect myself was higher than my need for intimacy. I’m back on the apps now, employing the mindset I learned here. The men I let into my life must be better than the one who I was heartbroken over.

He’s wearing an old band T-shirt, multiple silver rings, and a neon fannypack.... what does she see in him?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
