I spent $120 on my hair, yes. And I am focusing on my career, which is why I don’t have the time (or the money) to waste on a guy who refuses to be understanding of the fact that looking pretty is not cheap. You want a pretty girl who will lie to you? That’s not me.

I’m the one to ask the guy out probably 1 out of 4 times. When I ask someone out, we usually split. I haven’t met a guy yet who would be cool with me paying lol

Yeah it definitely has to do with communication as well.

Pushing boundaries after I’ve said no, not empathizing with me, not appreciating me (ignoring when I go through things that they don’t), putting their own needs first ahead of mine (and yes I mean sexually), expecting me to pay for all the collective stuff he uses too like groceries and toilet paper (even when I make way less money). Stuff like that

Splitting the bill is low effort because it puts the financial onus on me. It takes $120 to get my hair re-twisted, makeup is not cheap, and even buying from thrift stores, women’s clothes cost more than men’s. All while women make a median income of significantly less than men. So if I’m supposed to do all that plus pay for half of a date, I’m spending more money while earning less than a typical man. Now is this true in every case? No. Which is why I’m absolutely okay with splitting the bill o…

I don’t anymore, no. I have before, but as I said, the guys who expected me to split the bill were always the ones who treated me worse. So I don’t anymore, and I view it as a red flag when they expect me to. If he wants to take me out on a date on a budget, that’s fine, but putting in low effort or expecting me to pay half isn’t generally a good sign.

Yup. As a woman, I’ve learned from 5 years of bad dates and coercive situations that guys who don’t invite me out on dates are the ones who’ll treat me worse. It doesn’t have to be expensive, but it has to have effort. A coffee shop or a house date is low effort, and those are the types of guys who’ve been the most violent and push boundaries the most so far.

This is the way.

What about women who put guys on a pedestal? You didn’t specify.

What about women who build themselves and have a mission?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
