In the case of mass shooters the problem isn't the violence per se but the lack of social support. The absence of good stuff rather than the presence of bad stuff. Some of them were bullied but most were just excluded without being bullied. If you follow a simple "don't tread on me" moral then there's nothing wrong with excluding someone as long as you don't bully them. But psyschologically it's still horrible. Focusing on violence specifically in this case is limiting.

Yes the body pillow thing is a good idea. At 36 I still sleep with the teddy bear I had as a baby for this reason and I wonder if a body pillow would provide more benefits (mine would def have a waifu on it though).

I don't tell her I selfharm and I don't see a psychiatrist for one reason: I don't want to be put in a ward. I don't want to be humiliated and don't want to provide feminist with an opportunity to disqualify my views by exploiting my issues (which are caused by them). And...yes you are correct that I don't take my treatment seriously because I consider that I have good reasons to be depressed in this clown world. Still it provides temporary comfort.

It's more complicated than that. I started to see her because I've been a victim of threats and extorsion (and our initial sessions focused on that) so it's actually free of charge. Also she's not a psychiatrist and she doesn't know I selfharm. I'm not sure it would be better with a male psychiatrist. And, to be completely honest, my current female therapist in cute and this on its own is soothing.
