My answer? "Good, you should do that." Because if I'm not what they want, then I don't want them. I'm not going to change for anyone else, and I don't expect anyone to change for me.

I really like my surname. It's really cool and uncommon, there's less than a hundred people in my country with it. I'd be willing to change it if I got an even cooler name, but I doubt it would ever happen. If my spouse wanted to change to my name I'd be cool with that, but I don't think it's necessary for either of us to change our surnames. And if we had kids we'd talk about it and figure something out. Depending on what we name the kid and what fits best.

Red flag; he talks badly about people in general. And I don't mean when he criticizes the president of Brazil, or a shitty customer at work or David on 90DayFiance. But when it's people he/you know and interact with,it's a bad sign. Good people have no need to act shitty towards others.

The only thing more gross than a guy with filthy sheets is a guy sleeping in a bed without any sheets. A little mess is fine. Filth is not. A guy with a filthy bathroom probably uses filthy towels, and a guy with a filthy kitchen usually cooks filthy food with his unwashed hands he dries on his dirty kitchen towel he washed in his washing machine whose filter he has never cleaned. If he doesn't make an effort for your first visit, he's not going to make any effort ever.

Well, seeking male validation is something that we've been conditioned to value all of our lives. But, it is a learned behavior, and it can be changed. It's like learning how to write with the opposite hand. You have to keep at it, and challenge your line of thinking constantly. It's quite exhausting. “A single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we …

I always find this fascinating, because where I am from the tradition is completely different. The man and woman (or other combination) used to have plain gold rings as engagement rings, and you pay for your partner's ring. And then the woman gets another ring at the wedding, and the man will get another engraving in his ring. It's however changing, and the American dream wedding is definitely a factor.

You shouldn't deal with your trauma in order to be with s guy, you should do it because of YOU and your needs. You deserve to get help. Not in order to deserve a relationship, but because you have the right to love yourself and to be caring for you.

Start asking yourself 'Why?'. Like, all the time. Why do I need to drink water? Because my body needs it to survive. Why am I wearing a bra today? Because I'm in a hurry and it's easier for me to run when my boobs aren't all over the place. Why am I playing the sims in my pyjamas all afternoon? Because my week has been shit and I deserve some winding down me-time. Same with feelings. Why am I feeling like shit? Because the bus driver was rude as hell and I haven't eaten anything since lunch. Why…

My therapist told me that 75-80% of all validation must come from within. So I've started thinking that if I only have 20% to spare (to be received from others), who's validation do I want? Who is worthy enough for me to make their validation count? Spoiler alert; not a lot of guys, and certainly not some dude from a dating app or similar.

Maybe read some articles or watch some documentaries about the porn industry, hopefully that will make you feel less keen on consuming it. Plus all the reddit posts about women having their personal videos uploaded (without consent) as 'amateur' porn, and how crap boyfriends have uploaded them to /r/gonewild while pretending to be them.... Ok at first this stung a little since I have ADHD and on antidepressants, but honestly... I don't want to date someone who had ADHD. Unfortunately some of it is connected to self-hatred and frustration over my diagnosis, but most of it is because of the guys I've met who also have ADHD, they have been exhausting. I have my flaws, but I don't want to date someone with the same flaws as me.

I think that's impossible to answer since we only see the image of them they want us to see. Maybe it's just an act to keep his brand strong, because that's the kind of girlfriend his fans expect him to have. Like how k-pop stars need to look single and available. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if everyone single online interaction they have is carefully planned and directed to fit their brand. It's all about money. I

How a person handles a 'no' says a lot about their character. Don't see him again. Don't have sex with people who don't respect your boundaries. You didn't want to touch his dick, so he tried to touch you with his dick. This kind of logic is trash.

I live in a country where housewives are super rare, and I am a bit of a history buff and I agree with you wholeheartedly. Historically speaking, only upper class families had wives who didn't work, because they are the only one who could afford it. It's not like every farmer wife for thousands of years just sat at home and waited for her husband to come home. She had shit to do. Same with factory workers, their wives were cooks and cleaners for the upper class. Men saying shit like this really …

I mean, who the fuck TELLS his girlfriend these things? It's so disrespectful! I am not keeping tabs on what/who my partner fantasies to when they're masturbating to when they are alone. Just like I would never tell my partner who I am thinking of when I do it. And I don't want that knowledge. But if he would tell me he's rubbing it out to my friends, so I'll have that thought stuck in my head whenever I see them, and when he sees them, I don't want that.
