The problem with not thinking of yourself as the shit is that this unabashed confident mentality works with women. I would even go as far to say that having an absurdly inaccurate perception of yourself would do wonders, but the crucial key is to maintain it while interacting with a woman. The issue is a lot of these incels and low-on-the-totem-pole guys may think of themselves as the shit after three masturbation sessions, but this perception CRUMBLES when it's actually challenged and the woman…

Yes, you fucking can. I swear to you. But it doesn't matter what some faceless stranger says on the internet. It's what you tell yourself. That inner voice is louder and more convincing than I'll ever be. Until you realize that you are in control of your actions AND your life will be objectively better without porn (seriously - just look at some of the stories people put in NoFap), it doesn't matter what the hell I say.

You know that sinking feeling you get after fapping to your favorite video? That compounds on itself and leads to a shitty mentality/self-esteem, hence your awful impression of yourself. Saying you'll get no sex will be a self-fulfilling prophecy, especially if you continue porn-watching. You have no idea how much porn is affecting your perception/mood/everything until you stop doing it so damn much. Tell you what. Why don't you stop fapping to porn for a month? If that doesn't change the way yo…

I think any night out is a good night. Regardless of how feel about your night at the end, the fact is you put yourself out there. You almost definitely learned something, whether you were conscious of it or not. So what if it didn't match your expectations?

I actually like Tyler, but I don't think this video is the best representation of what he's talking about. Once the girl starts going off on the beta after he asks if she's a pole dancer, he is kind of just sitting there and taking it. His body language is not confident at all, so we can assume when he asked her that question, he didn't really own it. Then comes Tyler who not only owns what he said, but smiles, immediately says "just kidding" and goes in for a hug. I don't think it's so much of …

Would you recommend using lotion/lubricant during your edging sessions? I never use it during normal masturbation, but if it helps, I'll do it.

Yeah, you're absolutely right about not blindly following anybody or any kind of information, but it's also important to not blindly reject anything either. Keep the mind cautiously open. It's funny that you brought that up, as I recently broke up with my LTR a few months ago and it was difficult for me. As time went on, the feeling of guilt faded, but I still get remnants of feeling bad about it.

From what you're saying, it seems like the easiest way to take women off pedestals is through experience with them. I was wary about the idea of practice girls, but as I thought about it more, it makes a lot of sense. And I don't have any moral objection to it, so why not? Thanks for the tip.

There is such sweet truth to what you said. Thanks for that.

Oof. Hit a bit close to home with some of those. But in this process of self-improvement, I'm bound to spend money. MMA/piano lessons ($100/month for Muay Thai lessons) aren't cheap, but I guess in the end, I feel way better about paying for a monthly gym membership than a night on the town.

Your last sentence really struck a chord with me. I've been putting off a lot of things that I know would be fulfilling to me in the long run (MMA classes, piano lessons, learning Spanish, lifting, practicing stand up, cook more, etc) in place of things that JUST feel good today. I know I want to do these fulfilling things because I genuinely feel better about myself after performing them, even if they are more difficult. Some of this is due to me being in school and me incorrectly thinking "I'l…

That's an interesting perspective. I see the word "abundance" thrown around here and I always assumed it meant in terms of women. I guess the takeaway here is to never limit yourself to a single option and especially don't feel like this girl is the only/best use of your time. And perhaps the best way to go about this is to spend time outside of any female interaction doing fulfilling shit and that would help with these silly feelings I get? These damn silly feelings. Rationally, I think to myse…

So in summary, you don't believe that women have the capacity to change themselves? Am I understanding you correctly?

Thank you for taking the time to write this. It's pretty inspiring and you really hit the nail on the coffin.

Agreed, but I would add that I think, assuming she is trying to change and on a path to better herself, using a woman's past as an indicator of her future behavior is inherently illogical. If that's true, those of us who have had beta tendencies are doomed to stay in betaland. After all, we are solely a product of our past choices, right? I disagree with that, as it ignores what we DO and instead puts all emphasis on what we've DONE. We're all here trying to improve and move towards betterment. …

That's some damn good and practical advice. Thank you sir.

Yeah, regardless of the platform/situation, I just need to really suck it up and go out and practice this shit.

Solid point. Time management is something I never really considered. There's definitely an abundance of confidence I feel about getting to meet the girl. Although I could easily be feeling ignorantly overconfident... But actually closing though? That's where I've always struggled. You're right though. Actually interacting with the woman would probably be a more efficient use of my time.

I appreciate the response and honesty. I'll check out those guys you mentioned. And you're right about the different gaming approaches. I was just thinking from more of a confidence perspective. Like if I fuck some girl from Tinder (which from what I read, seems to be easier), that'll help with the general feeling of confidence I can use to approach in other situations. Man, a big part of me still wants to lose just a little more fat before I start trying to put on mass, but maybe you're right. …
