Yeah, I see your point. I guess I was preempting success for this particular post, because it really does make a lot of sense. Whether sidebaring should be based purely on post success or other criteria really isn't up to me at the end of the day I guess!

If you don't already, start watching Curb Your Enthusiasm. Larry basically walks around doing nothing, yet is constantly noticing things around him that are interesting to him, jotting them into his memory, then recalling them later in social situations, often to the chagrin of a female companion. Ok, I know it's a TV show, but it provides a great play-by-play example of what guys on here are suggesting you should try to do. As Larry demonstrates time and again, you don't even have to have a whi…

Dude, I don't know about the beach, but I live in foreign country and I've got that shit down (at least here :P). After your initial opener (i.e. "Hi!" with a smile... in most situations, most other openers are over-complicating), if it's obvious that you're foreign, i.e. you're speaking in a non-native tongue, then at some point in the interaction, 8 times out of 10 (1 is reserved for super-boring girls and 1 is reserved for super-interesting girls), they're going to ask you one or all of 3 pos…

This is really just a variation on the "I am the prize" idea. Please do give it a try. I promise you, it will make a massive difference.

Ok- I feel like taking a shot at this. First and foremost, remember that you're not necessarily out to entertain her per se. You're out to entertain yourself. Everything else, e.g. if she smiles, laughs or generally enjoys your shit, is a bonus. This attraction stage is very non-committal. Play it that way. A lot of the fun of flirting comes from breaking away from both your own expectations for an interaction and those of others. People get excited and interested when you steer the conversation…

In case anyone's still reading this, I'd just like to say thanks for the kind words folks- it meant a lot. I was honestly expecting to get trolled a lot more than I did for this, but you guys are swell... I'll try to write back again sometime soon, hopefully with something resembling more of a proper FR next time :)

lol... hey man, as I said, I'd be happy to break down any of those stories I mentioned move-by-move if requested... until then, enjoy jerking off to your testosterone-fueled fantasies of how to be a real man and fuck-a-doodle-doo to you sir!

I'm sorry to hear that man, really. And I'm sorry you reacted to my post the way you did. I was just trying to tell my own story from my perspective. It's different for everybody. If you feel like talking about it, PM me.

Yeah, you and me both buddy. Think back to the last time you cried. The reasons can be complex, but I guess often the over-arching theme is that it is a result of letting some of life's growing pains get the better of you. But that's ok. Sometimes you need to let those feelings wash over you in order to grow. And I guess I'd prefer to be honest about that here than to pretend that the road to self-improvement is all plain sailing.

Thank you for the feedback. I think you might have missed the point I was trying to make though, or at least for my part, I emphasized the wrong points. I probably shouldn't have reeled off all the 'conquests' like that, but it was my first post here and I guess I sort of felt a need to talk about where I'm at. But it's not the conquests that bring me peace of mind or that let me know that I'm special or good enough. There was a time when I defined my self-worth through my ability to do well wit…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
