I'm a relative writer with a blog, but I don't know much fashion

I'm definitely seeing a misunderstanding here, and I do apologize. My point was that fat as 'attractive' is a lot more on the lines of 'fashion', as it indicates wealth, not health in the countries that encourage or force over-eating. But knowing that is easy. Dealing with it is hard. I married into a very large family and while many my generation are younger are just curvy (the women), many of the older adults cling to lifestyles and diets they've grown up with for generations. Most of my older…

"Did you know" and stop assuming the other is an idiot? What books point to obesity indicating health? I'd really like to read it as cultural anthropology is a hobby of mine and my former teachers would be very interesting as well (so would r/history and r/anthropolgy). No books I've read, no courses I've taken, and no teachers with masters in cultural anthropology have shown obesity is an indication of health. It's always been fat around the hips (which develops during puberty). Did you know it…

Please stop cherry picking and calm down. I said there were many examples and I already pointed out one that had nothing to do with lack of food (blacking out teeth). Not to mention the gout I mentioned. That's from an abundance of food, but lack of the right food. There were actually well-fed and plump peasants in more prosperous cities where and when those were popular. Not to mention getting enough food has been difficult since the age of refrigeration (which many places still don't have), ye…

That could very well be argued from an anthropological point of view, but that reinforces that beauty is a cultural and sociological concept for the most part. There are countless other examples.
/r/RedPillWives23/02/17 05:02 PM

Beauty isn't a social construct? What about culture where obesity was considered beauty (still a thing today in parts of Africa, and gout was common among the 'beautiful')? Or China when blacking out teeth was considered beauty?

I don't fit in with liberals, I don't fit in with conservatives, i have no idea what libertarians are doing these days
/r/RedPillWomen15/02/17 08:48 PM

Well, first a conservatism kinda took over a lot of my views, which haven't changed much: fewer and more straightforward taxes, greater punishment for bad budgeting or using the money for something else (like when money for kids lunch programs are spent on a lunch for shareholders). Second, the lack of jobs for a long, long time angers me severely. My cousin-in-law was shot recently and the worst part was that it was due to violence that is seen as 'normal' in places where he and a lot of my in-…

We've set sail, and we're in calm waters now. We're headed towards rougher water soon, though. We've always been able to work together in storms. He's best at getting through those. Jolly Roger? Link and Zelda holding hands and holding swords in their other hands. It was our wedding cake topper.

I'm all for it. Even if you're careful, there are accidents. Rape, incest, horrible education, BC fails, partner suddenly changes his mind and wants to leave due to baby. Parents can't raise the kids. Horrible genetic defect. It's always going to be a nessecity, no matter how much someone doesn't like it. There will always be a need to end a pregnancy soon. BC, education, and responsible actions, both personal and societal would reduce the need, but there will always be the possibility of disast…

Hugs, cuddles, lingerie (sex is normal, not a reward), sometimes we go out to dinner, and I openly tell him he's wonderful for it (as well as overall telling him for little things) and ask him what he wants just to be sure it's a good reward. Edit: I verbally acknowledge that he's being a leader and everything he's done, small or large
/r/RedPillWomen11/02/17 03:48 PM

Well, we've been together for 12 years and were married. If I find myself attracted to a more alpha man, I'll tell my husband. I can't leave him all that easily and if he's willing to change, I can be first mate even.
/r/RedPillWomen11/02/17 05:21 AM
1

It is? I kinda thought being a captain or alpha would be a lot more assertive or...A bit more of a short off of it.
/r/RedPillWomen11/02/17 03:15 AM

Yes. It worries me a lot that I'm doing something wrong while he says he likes things this way.

Thanks. He does lead, he just often doesn't think it's needed much.

/r/RedPillWomen11/02/17 02:08 AM

I do encourage him. I like it and feel safer and less stressed. He does like to lead sometimes and I encourage that. He just says he's not onto a relationship where one of us leads all the time.

He asked me over not as a date, but to hang out with friends. We mostly hung out at his house because mine sucked. I can't remember who asked the other out first. We both proposed at the same time.

He seems to like being the XO so far. I'm encouraging him to step up whenever he can, though.
/r/RedPillWomen10/02/17 07:56 PM
2

Oh, he leads sometimes. He's like my Xo, though. I currently feel more like the captain at the moment. Do environmental restrictions affect that (at the moment we cannot set up an urban farm he'd like to and the landlord is against getting a dog, and he's wanted a dog for years)?
/r/RedPillWomen10/02/17 07:28 PM

He's less first mate and more XO. He speaks up and helps steer whenever he wants, he just usually likes the direction we're going in often.
/r/RedPillWomen10/02/17 07:01 PM
3

I kinda lead to give him everything he wants (including sex and companionship). He just isn't as good of a leader. I asked him if he'd rather lead and he seems to prefer me to lead. At last some of the time on some things.

I'm headed back to school to help my husband. I'm going to get a home inspection job and take an electrician course for a bonus (also something to fall back on). Once we've repaid some debt and move out, I'll be getting a masters in management (maybe a BA in an environmental field) to get an even better job.

Mine has asked me several times to stop agreeing with my mom on stuff. He still doesn't understand letting her do mild toxic things can keep a big toxic disaster from happening. I have no idea what to feel about that. Last night he asked me to be more expressive and not worry about his feelings as much (he feels better with honesty when it comes up). I'm happy about it, but not sure if I can.

I'm sick of 'strong independent woman' being claimed by people proud to be a bitch. Just be normal. And nice.
/r/RedPillWomen08/02/17 06:08 PM

Independent shouldn't mean jackass. We should all be capable of being strong independent women. We just choose to be strong women with loving partners and we show we love them back.

Humans pair bonding, but aren't monogamous. Also, I have found more than one study that says evolution drives women to have one night stands or multiple partners as much as or more than men.

This is why the statement pissed me off. Let's say you have privilege. Why not use that to help get yourself educated and fit and financially settled, the he help your partner a bit, then help your community now that you two actually do have everything you need? Why punch yourself in the face for having something good and not use it to share?

I'm in r/childfree and they can't accept you're strong (capable of being) independent women who will stand up to real abuse and don't want to be thought of as inferior. I'm not welcome to feel this is a great sub, which I hope can accept my modern views and can help me now and then.

Nearly verything boils down to the fact that I'm too cold too often. I'd rather not go out when it's too cold. It's hard to wear something sexy and body fitting. Working out is painful if the cold (no, it doesn't warm me up, it makes those freezing cold parts of me too sensitive) and warm clothes tend to be too bulky anyway. I'm also too short and bad at spatial planning. Edit: I'm also not sure I belong here. Some things about redpillwomen my husband adores and some he and I both disagree on.

I just joined and my co-redditors at r/childfree hate that I mentioned this sub was good. I'm on the fence about some policies and dynamics here, honestly ( I have a very different stance on past sexual partner). But I feel this is a great community. I want to be a strong, independent (if I wanted to be) woman who loves her man and makes sure he knows. I think I signed up as a captain, though.

Okay. I am VERY sorry for misconstruing you. If continuing your phD isn't your thing, that's also okay. You already have a great education (it's not like you're quitting high school). What kind of guy do you want? I'd still recommend trying to meet one via hobby conventions or other big meetings (smaller meetings are harder to find). I'd also not recommend pushing a relationship, but focusing on getting to know him, whether as a friend or lover. It takes time, but meeting other people in general…

There's nothing wrong with wanting to finish your PhD. Be proud you can and have done so when the time comes. Can you not meet the right guy in your college? What about a campus chat? Hi there. My husband actually recommended this thread after finding it. He found the philosophy talked about in The Surrendered Wife very interesting in how it can be adaptable to many lifestyles. HE also said a lot of women here were. He just said a lot of you were happy, independent, and that this sub looked interesting to him as a very mature and friendly opposite of a lot of other stuff on more 'feminist' subs. Thank you so much. This really sounds great and like something my husband and I want to work towards; I just don't want to take cooking away (and I'm not a fan) or have to put kids in the picture (I'm not against other adults having kids). This place sounds great.

I'm kinda new here, so I have questions: what if you're both childfree (or fencesitters)? Can you still be motherly to kitties and doggies? He's a way better cook than I am and likes it better. Is helping out whenever I can enough?

Except for #2, these all work IN THEORY. Humans may not be monogamous evolution wise, but they are known for pair bonding and forming extremely close social bonds that way (I'm not excluding gays). Most adult humans will want to at some point in their life. As for marriage, I do feel it's been ruined economically for several reasons. Too much stress is put on spending money for the wedding and on children (I'm not saying you can't do either of shouldn't, I'm saying getting pushed into them by pr…

I have mixed feelings and feel the smaller, more local marches, like the one my Godmother marched in were better. Far less !Offer, more inclusivity for men, more straightforward messages, and not wanting to be associated with sexists, racists, torturers, people who threaten to blow up the White House, or impose Sharia Law. I'm glad it was mostly peaceful in DC, but some speakers and some aftermath was facepalming.

then WHY don't women do these jobs. Historical bigotry, historical ignorance, the stigma of 'only stupid people do those jobs', social peer-pressure, and lack of job offers (until the internet). In essence, society said 'no' or ignored the women who did help build things and later the jobs became iconic of the uneducated and not available to women until recently (most recruiters looked for men).
