exactly lol, coincidentally every man's 'love language' is touch and acts of service...

Constantly making sexual remarks, jokes, finding sexual connotations where there aren't any. Bringing up sex and porn related topics in conversations with no regard as to what the group is like and whether its appropriate.

Havent listened to this episode yet so idk how they use it, but I HATE people misappropriating the word gaslighting!! It's a very specific concept, someone simply lying to you or being mean is not gaslighting!! Whenever I see the word being used incorrectly on reddit I usually write a (polite) comment explaining what gaslighting actually is and people just don't care. 'Well in my mind it counts as gaslighting' ok nevermind then i guess

Or they are particularly looking for a woman to 'mother' them. In my very first job, on my first day my new boss said to me that since the team is almost all men, it's good to have a woman because I can keep them in check.

In my feeling a lot of younger women nowadays do hookups because the current message is that this is just something you do, especially while you're young - that your 20s should be full of adventure and random sex with random people - I think a lot of them are not doing it because they actually really want to.

I wish men who want to fuck children should at least have the balls to just say that, instead of pretending to just argue on an intellectual and theoretical level

It's enough of a red flag that he calls a 30 year old a girl.

Honestly I think this story is almost certainly made up. Almost all these very dramatic stories you find on reddit are made up for karma. Personally I don't find it that helpful to discuss stories from AITA or similar subreddits because there is such a high chance they are just fully fake.

I somewhat like the idea of Deadpool as this 4th wall breaking character, but the humor usually is something that should only appeal to 14 year olds.

To be fair I have seen women praise Amy's 'cool girl' monologue, but they are also always very quick to add that of course they don't support her other actions. Meanwhile men out there just identifying with mass murdering villains

Take this with a grain of salt, because I actually don't know all the intricate background story or every single story arc of the Joker. That said, even before I ever consciously thought about why, men who really like the Joker have always been a very red flag to me. I am not saying it's necessarily weird to like a 'villain'. But from what I know about the Joker he's kinda just this wEirD quIRky edgy guy who commits random acts of violence for fun. He abuses Harley Quinn non stop. And then in th…

I saw a female ex-pornstar talk about her experiences on youtube once. She described a scene in which a male pornstar literally forced her to eat her own vomit. She understandably broke down in tears and was clearly very traumatised. And still she mentioned that she still watches porn and is not against the industry.

The problem is that these scrotes do not think any further than access to sex. Yes, in order to get 'offers' of sex, a woman only has to exist. They refuse to consider that this isnt everything in life, because thats the only thing THEY care about. In their minds, getting sexual attention is the only relevant thing and if you get it, you should be happy.

Every industry may have some sexism, but the porn industry is literally based on it. How embarassing. I hope she looks back on this in a few years and cringes.

yeah, in the end it all kinda depends on how exactly he approached her. In my experience the gross looking kind of man also usually isn't very respectful about it but who knows

I see your point but I'm not sure if there is really a polite and respectful way to hit on a random woman who has given you no signals at a gas station (a place not really intended for flirting or socialisation, but rather where you just want to get something done and leave). Personally I probably would have taken the more 'polite' approach first but also it gets on your nerve to be bothered by random men when you just want to go about your day.

Part of the problem is that by now, so many men are into exactly that: women who don't actually enjoy the sex. They'd want the woman to be either unwilling or at least not participating. Just see how many reddit porn subs there are for rape fetishes or porn stars with 'dead eyes'. Consensual sex that is good for the woman would actively decrease their pleasure.

Equality will not really be reached until there is roughly 50% women in positions of political power. Even if a country currently has a pretty good state for women, if the political system is still male dominated (which it is, literally everywhere in the world) it can quickly be turned into hell on earth for women again.

Maybe this is unpopular but I would always take any accusation of a woman abusing a man with a grain of salt. Not saying it can't happen. But men are in a position of systemic power over women. They don't get the same conditioning as women to be submissive and forgive abuse, and women don't get the same conditioning as men to be agressive and do whatever they want. I believe that in order for a woman to abuse a man to a similar degree as vice versa, there must be extraordinary circumstances and …

I'm screaming it's so much funnier knowing the writer is short. That makes so much sense. I haven't actually watched the movies themselves but seen several youtuber's videos tearing into them. The Jack character is very offputting, not just because he's small. A friendly reminder that men who 'date' bots aren't necessarily going to stop watching porn, pay for 'sex work' or be in some other way less bad to the real women they do encounter. All this further enables is the notion that men don't require consent, reciprocity or even free will from the women they want to fuck.

I don't have any medical background but I also felt a bit weird about some of the arguments. It sounds like she started from a point of 'women are unfairly treated by the mental health industry' which is obviously true and worth discussing but in the end she landed at 'there are no personality disorders at all ever'.

Agreed. It's interesting for me to think about how a woman arrives at that state of mind. Although I have gone through the same societal programming as every woman, and have experiences with abuse, there has always been a rebellious part of me remaining that will not take mistreatment. At the very least, I will perceive that if someone mistreats me, it's not right. But there are so many women out there who genuinely fail to see the problem with how a man is treating them.

One time I just searched for 'female' on etsy and in the third row of results was a life size replica of a female corpse with limbs torn off and innards leaking out. It was advertised as a 'horror movie prop' but the description also made sure to mention that the dolls have 'realistic pussy and ass'. I reported it to etsy and after a while it at least seemed to have been removed (or I couldn't find it any more)

Right. They never ask why it's always men having the fetish to rape and women the fetish to GET raped, and not the other way around. In their perfect genderneutral world where everything is 50/50, it should be about equal amounts of both - women getting off on the idea of raping men, fucking unconscious men, tied up helpless men etc. That doesn't happen and they would like you to not ask why.

Not quite the same, but sometimes in relationships subs I find posts written by men about a GF or wife supposedly abusing them that I find.. sus. I don't think that women can't be abusers, but some of them seem to strike all the points you'd want to push an MRA agenda. I normally have a very good intuition for what is fake, what's real and what's satire, and I think a huge part of them are very shady.

Where I worked, you didn't have to pay to use the site (only certain features of it) and user accounts that were supposed to be deleted/inactive were sometimes taken over by an automated system that would then use these accounts to send out automated messages to other users, because the accounts still looked 'real' although there was no actual person behind it anymore. It's always about what's 'natural' in men but not in women. Like when I say it's natural for women to want a man who isn't constantly busy spending attention on other women (implying they are not reliable and might abandon you & your potential child) they'd say it's bullshit, but that makes so much more sense than any of their arguments.

I read a similar comment one time where a woman was a sex worker and went off on the same spiel to defend herself to me, but her comment was unintentionally extremely revealing. She mentioned that both her parents neglected her, she's been poor all her life, and she started sex work to pay her mom's bills. She also was autistic and had brain damage from an accident. I've seen 'doesn't like sex' as a diagnosis criteria for autism in girls. My personal armchair psychology hot take is that autism is becoming overdiagnosed in females that are maybe just a little 'headstrong' or eccentric. This has no direct connection to anything but I just remembered something I saw on reddit some months ago (dont remember the subreddit either) that was about a female pornstar who had recently died. Of course men were absolute pigs in the comments and there was one comment about how she hasn't been in the earth that long, so you could probably dig her up and she'd still be a sexy corpse. It had like 2k upvotes and several awards.

All the feminism subreddits (except this one) only allow the most watered down, feel-good 'feminism' that doesn't make men feel too bad. Your comment was probably too direct. You're not allowed to criticise 'men' on here, just 'the patriarchy' which is supposed to be this nebulous system that somehow exists on the earth and harms both men and women.

It's not a huge risk for men to marry a woman they don't love. A wife is probably still going to be an overall benefit to his life. Plus, we all know they can definitely have sex with women they don't even find attractive. Meanwhile why would a woman ever marry a man she doesn't love? Not saying it never happens, but it doesn't have the same kinds of basically guaranteed benefits for her.

Ugh, can we also talk about the weird ideas about equal work distribution some men have?? My own father would begrudgingly help with the daily chores to some extent (although ofc he never cooked) but he would try to argue like 'you women (my mother and like, 7 year old me...) do all this cooking & cleaning stuff, and I take care of the house, computer and car. They genuinely see us as a hate sub. I get about 1 DM per week from some scrote who asks me (nicely, at least) to explain why I am on FDS and what's good about it or how it differs from the male incel community. Their brains are so biased against women already that they legit cannot understand the two are not remotely on the same level.

I actually remembered another pretty bad thing after I posted. In the last year I was there a system was put in place where even the real women's profiles would automatically send out pre-written messages to men's profiles. However they would not show up in the sent messages of those women's profiles. So their profiles would automatically message men, and they had no way of telling or seeing them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/12/21 02:36 PM

I wouldn't bother. I encountered men like this when I was younger and felt the urge to show them that they are wrong about me but it's ultimately not worth it. They will always see you through the filter of their preconceived ideas about women. If men have made up their mind about what a woman is like it's already game over IMO. Next

Yeah. If someone has a fetish like that, it's something they at least partially believe. IMO a fetish is kinda like being drunk. Sure, you might not have yelled at your friends or danced on the table if you hadn't drunk all that Vodka, but the fact that THIS is what you do when you're drunk still says something about you.

You know what really bugs me is these male celebrities that are very popular with men, at least in the redditsphere, are often abusers or otherwise suck and noone knows about it. I wonder if this is because men actually don't care so much about the woman's personality, because no matter what the woman acts like, she is very unlikely to ever become a danger to him. Women should vet men carefully because a shitty man has real potential to cause her great harm, physically or otherwise. Meanwhile even if a man ends up with a shitty woman he probably doesn't have a lot to fear. So men are more free to focus just on looks.

I just remembered that in my first ever job (I was 21) the day I started, the boss welcomed me and he said that since the team is full of mostly men he needed a woman to keep them in check because women are more mature than men. Not entirely the same but when I was maybe about 8 or 9 there was a boy in our class who everyone knew had some kinda issues. I wonder why 'kinks' always seem to be based on devaluing women.. idk about you but I have literally never seen a female owned sub about calling men 'it'. Why is this stuff untouchable in 'kink'? It's literally the same old misogyny you find in everything else. If anything, admitting that it turns you on to treat a woman like shit should make it worse, not better.

doesn't even have to be a psychopath. I think this is part of female socialisation where we're tempted to look for reasons and go like 'oh men only hurt us because they're actually broken inside' I'm like nope he treats you like that because he has no respect for you and it gets him what he wants, stop digging! Lmao I understand I come across as a bit nitpicky here but I rlly think it's important to stop looking for reasons so much
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/08/21 03:53 PM

sure. but most of the time I don't think trauma is behind a man treating a woman wrong. That smells like 'my ex was mean to me so that's why I have issues now'
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/08/21 02:52 PM
14

and I agree with that, but I don't think that necessarily means the guy feels hurt or worthless inside. He might genuinely just think he's hot shit and treats women like that bc he can.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/08/21 12:02 PM
3

I disagree. With the second part, anyway. This still follows the idea of 'he's only treating me badly because he's ill' or something.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/08/21 11:35 AM
31

I think part of that is the 'other'ing. Like, men don't know what it's like to be a woman, they can't read our thoughts, they see what the media tells them about us and they see that we're different. It's relatively easy for them to see us as fundamentally less human even if they might never admit it. Meanwhile, lesbians for example know other women are human, and so they can find women sexy without completely dismissing their humanity.

Why do men not do this? because they can. For most women they know that if they don't do a thing, it doesn't get done. No man will come and pick it up for them in a reliable manner. But men can always find some woman to do basic tasks for them if they just search a bit. It's unfortunate.

It's not really about accuracy, but men don't want to watch something in which society is not as it is now. They can't or don't want to see a world without rape left and right because they don't see how it could ever happen. They think it's literally impossible, that's what this tells me.

It's not entirely the same, but I worked in a company for a while that developed web sites where men would be able to pay for live cams etc. I was just a developer but from what I experienced in that time I can tell you men do not have a single ounce of respect for a sex worker or even just a woman they don't know who is presented in a sexual context.

Some men have literally no standards for themselves. They're content being incapable and failing at basic life tasks. They don't feel it's something they should feel ashamed for. And I mean very basic stuff like washing clothes or cooking literally any simple dish. I honestly feel like women on average have a greater drive to be independent and manage their life. I know so many 20something men who still live at home or live like students in constant disarray and don't care at all.
