Honestly, it could be Spotify playing with you. I have the premium version for free but I'm willing to bet they have a similar algorithm to YouTube that is well known for favoring far-right, extremist content and probably pick-me liberal content as well although that gets less scrutiny than proxy-fascism.

Whether it's YT or Spotify I consume content that is mostly non-political: adhd, meditation, recipes, DIY that sort of thing. But with youtube as soon as I remotely engage with a lefty source for news I get bombarded with extreme right-wing and corporate suggestions I never looked up.

I listen on stitcher and don't seem to get that problem. But I hate Spotify so much because of the ads. I have music streaming with my prime account ad free, no reason to give free revenue to those fucks.

Yes! Agree Spotify AI is terrible for podcasts. I have a premium account but the podcast suggestions are still annoying.

I fully recommend Apple Podcasts. I know iOS products are more expensive etc., but there’s precisely zero of that bs.

My ‘recommended’ on there are: - The Game EXPOSED - Girls that Invest - Women of Impact - The Self Love Fix - Break Down to Break Through - Narcissistic Trauma Recovery Podcast

… etc. So much better than Spotify. I’m not sure what a good quality app is on Android. I did hear Pocket Casts recommended about a year ago, might be worth a try?

I use the website on my phone, https://open.spotify.com/show/1yEtiYEtlLyutV8w3jpeTZ , not the app, and I am not logged in either. I don't see any ads.

However I do see a label "explicit" under the podcast so I think that might be why they lumped FDS with a bunch of shite.
