The grandfather you dislike is in a position of respect, and is likely quite set in his ways (as it often is with age). There's no point in arguing with him, even if he is an asshole. Your friendly grandfather sounds like your relatives are taking advantage of him. It's hard to say for your class mate. He obviously deserves credit for his work, even if he is a dickhead - you can't just say someone has done no work if they actually have done some.

None of that sounds too unusual to me, but I haven't seen whoever you're talking about. I think that book will help you out a lot though, check it out when you get the time.

Have a read of "No More Mr. Nice Guy". Assholes don't get away with their attitude, confident people who are willing to take the lead do. Do you have any specific examples of what you're talking about?

Because intoxicants are a cop-out to discipline. Sure, getting wasted by yourself might make you less butthurt about oneitis, but you should really just deal with it like a man. Occupy yourself and look inward. I'm not even really against drugs, but I don't think it's a good idea to suggest them in lieu of actually changing your underlying behaviour.

Mt_Arreat will take part in this challenge! I only saw this post today, so I'm starting from today. 7 hours sleep - night of 2nd August.

This will seem like overly simple advice, but don't discount it because of that. I'm on a path very similar to yours, I started Starting Strength several months ago at the gym (it's going great), I'm pursuing engineering after leaving high school early, and I also was given a Christian education, despite being an atheist-agnostic myself. Read Meditations, by Marcus Aurelius. I think you'll find it to be tremendously helpful in making the changes you want to make. It sounds like you've already go…

Haha, righto mate. I don't think you bottled anyone. But hey, you don't need my validation, Mr. Badass.

Consider trying out amateur wrestling or boxing. Both are very "no bullshit". Martial arts is a good option also, but you need to find a dojo that is serious. Many are catered towards kids or being family friendly.

Fair call on all of that, except a cut lip and a black eye aren't really serious consequences, they're the kind of things you heal from in less than a week. In particular though, what about that bloke you bottled? How did that not lead to charges being pressed? That's what really gets me.

I don't think it's entirely fake. I'd believe it's exaggerated, but I don't think it's a total fabrication.

Well done mate. But as a fellow Aussie, I have to ask how old you are - I mean, how the fuck are you getting away with punching out and bottling random cunts? Fair enough, you know, sometimes disrespect needs to be dealt with in a way that sends a message. But how exactly have you avoided any serious consequences as a result?

Yeah, pretty stupid routine OP. Using machines for newcomers is simply a dumb idea. What even is a burnout exercise?

No worries, glad you enjoyed it. That's interesting. If it's true, I still think it supports the idea of a code as something productive, especially if it was used as a tool for nationalism.

The OP, whether aware or not, is speaking from a very Nietzschean viewpoint. Friedrich Nietzsche is popularly referred to as the founder of the school of thought of nihilism - a philosophy suggesting that morals are subjective and do not exist in an objective sense (i.e. the universe is without meaning). Of course, in a totally amoral universe, excessively antisocial behaviour would be rampant without deterrents to those who harbour feelings that this behaviour is acceptable. Machiavellianism as…

TRP is about sexual strategy for men. You want /r/redpillwomen.

Children being a poor life choice is not a feminist idea, it's a general preference among the population at large. I hate the idea of kids.

AskTRP didn't appear because there's another subreddit for that, and there was a mod post about it. It's seen as a disorder because people are jelly. That's all it is, really.

It's actually completely illegal to not warn your partners or tell them to get tested, and you'd be totally fucked if any of them ever found out they got infected by you, since you've already seen a doctor about it. Also, in no way is not telling your partners to get tested "alpha".

Know that TRP is about self improvement, become a better man. Not about getting girls. Girls come as a byproduct of your improvement as a human being. No matter how well intentioned you were OP - for the love of fuck - do not attempt to guide the new members when you yourself clearly do not yet fully understand what this sub is about. I fear for the future of this board when a post like this made it to the front page. At least this much is clear: TRP is about sexual strategy. It is not /r/become…

I have to disagree with most of the comments here. OP is completely right, even if his analogies are a little offbeat. A hot girl is going to assume you're talking to her because you want to fuck her - because you do. Don't hamster that shit. At some level, you want to fuck her. I feel the OP's TL;DR could essentially just be: "Don't focus on the destination, focus on the journey." Of course you should make your intentions known when you can, but don't focus on it too much.

If it made "evolutionary" sense, then why isn't there anything similar occuring in men. If men being strong and well-built made evolutionary sense, why isn't there anything similar occurring in women? It's almost like... men and women... are different

The happiness of man is, "I will." The happiness of woman is, "He will." "Lo! now hath the world become perfect!"--thus thinketh every woman when she obeyeth with all her love. It's interesting that Nietzsche - who identified the death of traditional morals and nihilism (the death of God) as being a problem that every human being faces - also believed that the burden of seeking purpose in an indifferent universe lay solely upon man. That's an idea that seems quite ahead of its time (or perhaps a…

I'm not sure I understand why this is being downvoted. Rollo Tomassi defines game as: "At its root level Game is a series of behavioral modifications to life skills based on psychological and sociological principles to facilitate intersexual relations between genders." The sidebar post "The Basics & Direction of Sub 2014" also clearly states TRP is: "A loose and highly debated collection of frameworks that describe sexual dynamics between men and women. In short, it is purely information. What e…

As someone currently consuming a ketogenic (ultra low-carb) diet, do you have a source on that? A quick Google search doesn't really support your claim.

Alcohol is its own macro, and has a slightly different caloric value to carbs. You should account for both. Keep that in mind while counting.

A few weeks ago a friend admitted to me that she had recently cheated on her serious boyfriend. My friend is a fantastic girl who is certainly a "catch," Are these different people, OP? Or are you just stupid?

This is correct, BUT, it depends where you're located. In Australia, after 6 months of living together as a couple, you are basically married, for all legal purposes.
