Tbh I think the demographic here leans more redpill so you see more redpill posts during purge week. Also some don’t have time to be posting 24/7 memes lol.

almost every woman you talk too, is still not a large enough and diverse sample size to represent most women. Also sleeping around isn't the same as cheating with your rapist. There is clearly an underlying trauma and mental health issue going on with this individual.

They can sex on demand but not from chads or the ideal guy. Plus women like the relationship process that’s why dating simulations are popular.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/23 12:47 AM

Nah I’ll stroke my fembots and manbots while I appreciate both sexes.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/23 12:44 AM

There are more things that just status that attract women. And women can certainly be turned on by a computer, many people are attracted to fictional characters and anime dating sims as women. There are entire apps dedicated to the so called anime boyfriend experience. Of course sexbots wouldn’t be the same but they would still be just as possible for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/23 11:46 PM
-1

Nothing wrong with having robots. What’s wrong is the revenge fantasy. It’s not like women would not have bots of their own, or simply not care that someone they wouldn’t sleep with is sleeping with a bot.

/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/23 05:19 PM

If there’s a fembot gf then women can get an ideal boyfriend robot. Since the technology would exist anyways. Why assume women wouldn’t have robots for themselves?

I do think my standards tend to be skewed because in my community she would be called fat. Asian people are much harsher on weight.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/23 02:56 AM

She's what is called skinny fat. Regular weight, but not toned and higher body fat percentage. The positions aren't great for showing off the body as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/23 02:55 AM
8

She is at a healthy weight, but she's skinny fat. Aka she's not overweight but has more body fat and an untoned body. You can tell she doesn't work out. If she took a body fat test, she would have more body fat than non chubby people at her weight.

People kinks have nothing to do with feminism at its core and people need to stop attributing kinks like cukchold to femenism. Rather than femenist this just seems like someone whose part of a specific kink.

/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/22 06:03 AM

It could be both. There may be a wall in terms of attractiveness, and people can mature and value themselves over hooking up or a relationship.

Q4A Favorite book? What genre do you like? Recently I've been into classics, especially Dickens. Right now I'm reading A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. side note: I've been so much more into reading since changing my major from literature to psychology. Reading for pleasure is much more engaging.

OP, are you talking about your experiences? It seems like you've experienced something like this because the thought process you describe is so incredibly specific. I will say, I've never been attracted to starting a relationship with someone who has different values and a different lifestyle. I like people who have similar hobbies, interests, and values. I don't like big social events and tend to be a homebody. So the people I've been with are similar because we can do what we like together. Th…

This is the answer. Also, I've never really been attracted to people with a different lifestyle/values. Different looks, ethnicity, upbringing-- yes? But we generally have common values and interests. I don't think most people want to be with someone who lives a different lifestyle, because part of a relationship is living or interacting together.

However, this retort never made sense to me. Let's address the elephant in the room: common sense. Isn't it common sense that women are more traditional in poorer/more conservative cultures? I figured that fact would be no less reasonable than saying the earth is round. Saying poorer nations are more conserative is common sense. Saying they're more religious is common sense. Saying they're more racist/sexist/homphobic is a reasonable claim to make. Why is saying they have more traditional women …

What's funny is that skinny is back in fashion right now, and Kim Kardashian is reducing her overall size everywhere. People want smaller boobs, butts, and bodies right now. Seriously, the y2k style comeback proves the trend.

No, and if you view the person you want to date as an enemy that's just a setup for an unhealthy relationship and perspective. I consider it more as who would suit my values the best. Of course, both people want something out of a relationship. If the things we want are similar, I think it is a good start for a relationship.

It sounds like both of you were immature and rude to each other. Purposefully trying to hurt each other with your comments. Who you surround yourself with affects your perception of the world and the experiences you have.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 06:04 PM

Yeah raw materials are cheaper. I can buy dry rice and beans for a good price. The issue there is that you have to prepare the ingredients to make a meal. Junk food is already prepared so a lot of people find it convenient. Therefore ready made stuff often wins out over potatoes, which you have to cook.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 05:17 PM
2

Junk food is addictive. The manufactures. Purposely test and create a product that will create a dopamine rush and make you want to eat more and more. Sure you can buy lettuce, but you have to cook or do something to make the lettuce a part of a meal. Ready made, addictive junk food would always win over that.

For sure. We sit a lot more than we have ever used to. And with innovation we don’t need to do the physical labor our ancestors did. Washing clothes used to be a damn workout now it’s popping it in the machine etc. my grandma eats a ton but she’s very old fashioned and brooms the house by hand rather than using a vaccum, etc. probably why she’s slim.

I think it’s the access and poverty as well as culture. I know food deserts are more common in a lot of southern states. If the only good you can acess is junk food, that’s a pretty much a setup for failure. It’s def a combination of issues, not just conservatism or liberalism.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 07:29 AM

everyone doesn’t share the same morals. Casual sex may be gross to you, but others don’t find it repulsive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 07:13 AM

If it’s legalized, nothing wrong with it. I don’t care what two consenting adults are doing. I wouldn’t compare it to casual sex because money is involved. So it is a business. Casual sex has no strings attached like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 07:11 AM
1

This has to do with class status. People who go to college and can afford it generally want to marry within their social bracket.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 07:08 AM
1

Going to be honest here. Women are harsher to each other on looks. But I agree that mens beauty standards have become harsher recently. Especially with social media. I think beauty standards have gotten more extreme in general in the last couple of years because of filters and instagram. I find it crazy how a body type can go in and out of trend. How we can find a certain type repulsive only to love it the next year. Crazy shit.

High fructose corn syrup is the devil. Junk food is made to be addictive. Seriously all of us have been fucked over by these companies making additive filled food. Food addiction is real. I see so many people suffer from it. Grandma might have her leg amputated because of diabetes, but she is still ordering from McDonald’s in the goddam hospital. Door dash to the hospital. Like seriously.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 06:48 AM
13

Yes conservative states are by far more obese. Of course I know blue states like Cali the d to have higher acess to healthy food and a collective health forward perspective. Here in la people work out and eat vegan or low calorie food all the time. It’s pretty darn easy to acess and stay slim.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 06:39 AM
20

Fat acceptance does have a connection with modern American feminism, however the rise in obesity is directly related the the rise of addictive fast and junk food. The reason people used to be slimmer is not because they were more conservative but because they didn’t have the same terrible and addictive junk food that we have aces to. Just comparing an American grocery store to a store in another country will show you why we are fat.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/22 06:36 AM
59

I don’t think the cause of this is feminism. I think the cause is the mass expansion of social media and internet culture. As well as the messaging that pop culture and media have been sending. I wouldn’t say feminism is the cause of the rise in obesity. Obesity is rising because of the overproduction of addictive junk food that is easily available and convenient. Hook up culture is perpetuates by dating apps and is shown in tv, movies, online etc.

You answered your own question. Sometimes, people are superficial. People can hype you up, then tear you down in the background. Happens all the time, to both sexes-- though women tend to hype there friends up more.

Dominant in what way? There's no point in forcing yourself to be something you're not, just because you think it'll make you happier. Also, just because a partner is more dominant doesn't mean they do all the leg work in a relationship. In a healthy relationship, both people would have input and split work. I'm more outgoing so I order ,and talk to the waiter, make any complaints if needed etc. when I'm with a shy person, but my partner would do the research and pick the restaurant based on what…

/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/22 07:16 PM

I don’t understand why users equate sex with dating here. And seriously OP just clearly doesn’t understand gay dynamics, calling the bottom the equivalent of women and other shit like that. It’s funny when users talk about shit they clearly have no clue about.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/22 07:04 PM

I don’t think you can compare homosexual sex to heterosexual sex like that. The bottom isn’t the “woman” because they are both guys. And the gay men I know don’t always exclusively bottom or top, a lot of people switch. Also anal isn’t the same a vaginal sex. I know people in the do more blowjobs, handjobs, mutual mastrubation than anal. Of course anal sex is more prevalent, but you don’t have to have anal sex, and the bottom isn’t the equivalent to a woman. But competition is fierce also in the…

Fear is a gift. I know people aim to be fearless, but that's unrealistic. I have so so many fears. Plus healthy fear is imperative to living a healthy life. I'd worry more if someone didn't fear having to be changed/being total care in the hospital.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/22 06:40 AM

Tbh it’s good that you’re afraid of having to be taken care of like that. It means you have a healthy outlook and want to be self-sufficient. Those patients always get better the fastest and are the favorites for sure, if they get ill at all. Take good care of yourself, it seriously pays off. And if you ever get sick, doctors and nurses will have a much easier time taking care of you. Just taking blood from an obese patient can be hard, not to mention scans and surgery, etc. I think healthcare w…

I say no obesity for both sexes because it kills and causes so many chronic conditions. It’s not men against obesity or women against obesity, it should be humanity against obesity. Because it is killing us, and lowering our quality of life drastically.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/22 06:11 AM
3

Def you get used to it. It’s gross the first couple of time, but you get used to it after seeing it everyday. Some stuff is grosser thought, like when a colostomy bag bursts—shit gets everywhere. Had a patient who would open his colostomy bag because he wanted to “release” the gas, but every single time it would start leaking. Also some dementia patients don’t remember what’s happening and will pull their catheter out and start bleeding everywhere. That was a real nightmare.

Once you empty a colostomy bag or watch someone insert a catheter, most things aren’t gross anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/22 05:44 AM
2

Shit. I mean lbs lol. I’m a little sleep deprived. But we do get quite a few 200-300 lb patients. 200ish patients aren’t uncommon these days, and they can be super hard to take care of if they are total care. Some of them can’t even move their arms of legs to help you out a bit.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/22 05:41 AM
4

Hoyer lifts are a lifesaver but also damn annoying to use sometimes. The oldest patients are not too obese, like the 90+ crowd. But the majority of patients are overweight which makes care so much harder. We have to special order beds all the time. And if a patients falls and grabs you it could be career ending. The difference in quality of life is staggering. Recovery is so much harder and simply living is so much harder when obese.

From what I know about bottom surgery, they can retain sensitivity because no major nerves are affected. Not sure how it relates to this case, but I imagine it would be a surgeon's perogative to maintain as much regular sensitivity and integrity as possible. There always is the chance of damage though.

People shit on evolutionary psychology because it is vastly untestable and based on assumptions. Humans aren't monogamous by nature, but we aren't polygamous by nature either. We tend towards polygamy, but pair bonding is common. You can't define human mating systems that simply.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/22 05:22 AM

"as a bi women I've never understood mens obsession with skinny girls with no shape..." The thin shaming here is evident. If you're not attracted to skinny women, that's fine. But you don't need to insult skinny women.

The main issue with evolutionary psychology is that it cannot be confirmed or falsified. Most of the field isn't testable in any way-- making me seriously doubt its validity. I haven't read the Evolution of Desire, however, so I cannot comment on it.

sure sexual selection affected evolution, but by far environmental factors and natural selection are the single largest driver of evolution. It's the entire reason we developed bipedal locomotion, our brain grew, and we evolved to be more gracile, etc. Sexual selection is just one form of natural selection that affected hominins over time.

I can relate on acting like others to deal with social situations. When I was younger I didn’t get social clues at all, though now I understand them from experience. Still I have to actively act when interacting socially and it gets exhausting.

Telling a woman she doesn't deserve a young, hot, man is essentially telling her that her value is less than a full male. Men are objectively less attractive the older they get. Not only do most men find their partners in their mid-20s after multiple failed relationships probably with girls mostly more attractive than themselves. so men, why am I not worth a young man? there is research into the growing embryos in labs, though the furthest it has ever gotten is 13 days because they are usually terminated at 14 days per the 14-day rule. I haven't seen any research into a machine like this, because embryos are microscopic. They are literally grown on a petri dish.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 05:09 AM

It's not, though the idea is not bad. https://www.reddit.com/r/worldbuilding/comments/zgursc/ectolife\_the\_worlds\_first\_artificial\_womb\_facility/
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 04:36 AM

Then link your sources. The source linked here, in the post, is not reputable and is based on a FAKE video. The scientist they mention isn't even real! Sure, it is possible to make artificial wombs. But ethically, and practically it's quite difficult to get it to the general public. How do you even do human trials on this? I don't see it happening for a while.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 04:28 AM
3

News sources want the most sensational headlines, even if they are fake. This is why I read boring old NPR and AP because at the very least they cite real sources. In the future, there will probably be fake wombs, but people vastly underestimate how hard it is to get this technology out there. Not to mention, the ethical questions. How do you do human trials for a fake womb-- especially if there is failure? Right now labs terminate human embryos after 14 days, though it is getting changed. Still…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 04:25 AM
3

The artificial womb stuff is fake. https://www.reddit.com/r/worldbuilding/comments/zgursc/ectolife_the_worlds_first_artificial_womb_facility/ crazy how news sources are running with it like its real, when it's literally a concept video from the worldbuilding subreddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 04:15 AM
6

It's fake. editors in the worldbuilding subreddit made it, and news sources ran with the story without checking. goes to show how fact checking matters. And I was wondering how they got over the 14-day law that makes labs terminate embryos before 14 days. https://www.reddit.com/r/worldbuilding/comments/zgursc/ectolife\_the\_worlds\_first\_artificial\_womb\_facility/

https://www.reddit.com/r/worldbuilding/comments/zgursc/ectolife_the_worlds_first_artificial_womb_facility/ This is fake. The worldbuilding subreddit was the source. News sources just ran with it. You literally can't grow a human embryo past 14 days in a lab, so how could they have made the technology? No legitimate news source is reporting on this.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 04:02 AM
2

Don't know how viable this is yet, and it will cause a lot of legal and ethical questions-- especially in the testing phase. How do you ethically test this? There's also a law in place that doesn't allow human embryos to develop past 14 days in labs. It's no longer a hard rule, but most labs follow it. I would say this is more sensationalism right now, then viable technology.

The hours and physical labor suck. Some of these patients are total care-- meaning they are in diapers-- and they are 300 pounds. Imagine changing a 300-pound adult. I work as a CNA, so I literally do that. Healthcare is my passion, and I need clinical experience for med school. But every day I get more disillusioned.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 12:58 AM
3

That's true, our budget is ridiculous. I'm also for bringing back long-term psychiatric wards because at the nursing/rehab facility I work we get shafted with patients who need serious mental health care all the time because they have no space elsewhere. Some of them are homeless, and the hold is only 72 hours, so they get dumped back and come back again the next week. The addicts are even harder to take care of.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 12:55 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 12:49 AM

I'm always thinking about the healthcare system in America-- it's just so fucked. But is it realistic to achieve some sort of universal healthcare We already, don't have enough doctors and nurses? I often doubt my decision to apply for med school, because of the cost both in money and physical/mental labor.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 12:36 AM

you shouldn't drink only if you drink too much, or have a medical condition. If not, enjoy in moderation. I doubt you are that weird lol.

There are. That's why government and law exist. The social contract is where we give up some of our freedoms, in return for certain protection of our rights. There is the abuse of this system, but by in large humans have created some form of governance to protect their rights-- again and again.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 12:26 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 12:23 AM

Yep, consensual sex is consensual sex. It's not realistic for sex work to ever go away, and people pay for sex all the time. As long as they have the other qualities I look for in a partner, I wouldn't be opposed. I'm into BDSM, and ppl like to use pros, so it wouldn't stop me.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 12:14 AM

I don't mind. Of course, that shouldn't happen while we are in a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 12:11 AM

It isn't abusive to deny sex, because sex isn't a human right. The freedom to have sex is a human right, but not guarantee you will get sex-- even in a marriage. It may feel like "torture", but we all know torture is much worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 12:06 AM

True, in China the one-child policy led to parents abandoning female children. Tons of Asian and African communities see female children as a burden since they won't carry the family name and abandon and kill them off. In India, they had to ban doctors from telling couples the sex of their child, during ultrasounds, because couples would get an abortion if it was a girl.

I simply want a partner whom I can trust and support for the rest of my life. If a guy says so, than clearly we have different goals in life, so it may not work out in the long term.

Barbara Kingsolver is by far my favorite author of all time. She wrote on of my favorite books-- The Poisonwood Bible. I like classics as well, especially Dickens and Wilde. Though my favorite book of all time has to be The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck.

The average person doesn't really think about sex as power or the other terms and theories people here discuss.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/22 02:01 AM

Sure, there are women who are upset for this reason. I don't think most women care about men they don't want sleeping with sex workers, because why would you care about what someone you don't care for is doing? But, they probably care if someone they do want is getting sex from a sex worker. However, there are so many other reasons people are against sex work, including society looking down on it in general.

Yes, the female and male brains have some structural differences, but the majority of that is an account of the fact that women are smaller than men-- so brain size differs as well. Women actually tend to have larger prefrontal cortexes than men, the part of the brain responsible for regulations. But we largely have the same capabilities. https://stanmed.stanford.edu/how-mens-and-womens-brains-are-different/ https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/medicine-and-dentistry/prefrontal-cortex#:~:text=Th…

You'll don't even know, the Hollywood stars have full-on sex parties and swinger meetups. Politicians are even wilder. If you think they are normal, think again. They all sleep together and pay to keep it quiet. Just because one star gets exposed, don't think they are the outliers. This shit it pretty darn normal.

Take zinc , vit D, and those vit c packets you can put into water as supplements, theraflu or mucinex is good for symptoms, and rest! I've gotten exposed to so much covid, especially since we just had an outbreak at the facility, and by doing all that I've been fine. Symptoms are mild for the boosted and those who got the bivalent, especially since they cover the newer covid strains.

Yep. As long as you find the other person attractive and they also find you attractive that's good enough. They don't have to be your ideal physical type. Then what matters more is if you have similar values and goals and if you could live with and understand each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/22 01:28 AM

See looks fade. So In the long run, what matters is that both of them like and trust each other, while finding each other attractive. If someone got with a below-average person while they were above average in looks, there is probably a reason-- regardless of male or female. So it's more about a person's values because if you both have similar values and understand each other it is so much easier to have a long-term relationship. Thus, I don't think one is better than the other because we know n…

Overweight and fat are the same thing to me, unless it’s muscles. In the Asia the bmi standard are even harsher, ppl in America tend the glaze over the fact that overweight people here would be considered fat back in the day and in other countries. People just got used to seeing bigger people. Simply put if you are overweight or have high body fat, you are fat. Doesn’t mean you don’t deserve respect, but extra weight is always a toll on the body.

after 75K income, more money doesn't make people happier. So enough money is better. Not more.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 02:15 AM

People have become materialist, and want to live an expensive lifestyle without understanding that the majority of people earn a regular income. There are not many 6 figure men, but people always aspire to be the exception. Studies show that after 70-75k combined income, happiness doesn't really increase. So what matters is that both of you make enough money together to live a decent life.

Men and women aren't smarter than each other. We both basically have the same capacity for intelligence. Men are physically stronger yes, and do have other biological advantages. We can absolutely have equal rights. Why do you think men only see women as sexual objects? There are plenty of guys who have an insightful conversations with me on here, even though we may disagree. It's strange to reduce people to such singular motivations.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 02:05 AM
11

I disagree, I think women and men both need each other. It's not cool to be like men are suffering, nice. Or that all women are good for is sex, nice. people want emotional connections too. I want the person I'm in a relationship with to be open with me, and for me to be able to confide in them.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 02:01 AM
1

I do think it would be interesting to see how other countries and cultures fare in dating and marriage in comparison to the US.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 01:57 AM
2

Yep, my family is similar with the extended family setting you up too. It's a family business to set up marriages lol. I'm the only female child of my family's current generation, so it puts even more pressure because my uncles and family would have to approve for the least friction sigh--and my mom has 8 siblings. But I know they will support me if I need anything, which is amazing. Especially since my mom's siblings have spread around the world. So whenever we visit another country, we have to…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 01:28 AM
2

In my community, it's very normal to have an arranged marriage. My cousins got arranged marriages, and they are pretty average-looking people. What matters most in those setting up those relationships is a job, house, car. People will literally post their qualifications while looking for a marriage partner. Saying I graduated from this university, I work at this company, I have this house, I have a car, my family originated from this village etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 01:26 AM
2

I'm first generation American, so my parents immigrated here. But, my cousins still all got arranged marriages thus far and they are quite modern in views otherwise. It's quite common, though now they use websites and stuff rather than advertising in the newspaper or hanging flyers lol. Unless you're talking about big cities, the villages and towns are very conservative from my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 01:23 AM
1

Yes, the nightlife is similar and can even be wilder in some areas-- because of less regulation. But during the day time everyone is conservative lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 01:21 AM
0

See the way I see it is. There are more Asian people, especially Chinese and Indian men, in general than other races. So more people== higher amount of those races being in certain groups. What you have to look at is the rate overall of marriage, relationships, etc. Rather than the overall number.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 01:21 AM
2

Interesting, it seems like cities tend to attract a certain type. Have you been to Asian cities? I know they tend to be more liberal than the countryside and villages, but still they are more conservative compared to other countries imo. I personally prefer quiet villages lol, but that's my bias speaking.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 12:36 AM
2

Oh! sorry! I guess people will now know the marriage culture of my community lol. I do wonder about the demographic of this sub? How many are western based? And I know eastern European countries are different as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 12:35 AM
2

Definitely. It's in cultures like mine that I think more liberal views need to be more accepted. Though, it's hard to ease thousands of years of culture and beliefs. My parents have gotten more accepting since moving to the us.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 12:34 AM
10

Interesting, what culture? If you did that in our culture, the family would beat you up. Seriously, grannies with a broom are scary af.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 12:30 AM
2

It is, but in our community, almost everyone gets married by their 30s. There's no particular data I know off the top of my head, but the extensive regularity of it is part of the community. It's why there are jobs that are literally to matchmake and announce marriage intentions between a girl and a guy's family. There's even the term leftover woman or man, for the ones who don't get married, and family will start setting you up on blind dates at that point.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 12:29 AM
4

That's true. Tbh, some of my friends went wild in college lo. Too much repression isn't great either. But yeah another story is that a cousin of mine wanted to marry a Muslim guy, but the family outside America was against it. So, the sent her to my aunt's house and forced her to stay there while the men went and threatened the guy. Some weird and fucked up stuff like that happens too.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 12:24 AM
3

That's true. I was raised and born in the US, but my parents actually banned me from dating till I went to college. Though, that's because Asian parents think dating gets in the way of studying. How about Eastern European countries?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 12:20 AM
7

So mostly a western issue? tbh, I don't see guys in my community having a tough time getting married or dating. Though, arranged marriages are common even now. And parents will get matchmakers etc, even in the US.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 12:18 AM
3

Look it’s a numbers game, the more you date, and the more experience you get and the more likely you are to get laid. Sometimes it doesn’t work out with a one person, but keep on going on dates. The fact that you are getting dates means women are interested initially, you just have to work up to having sex and perhaps more.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 11:05 PM

"I think it's going to take both men and women to abolish friend zone" Realistically, not going to happen. It would make things clearer, and keep people from hanging on.

Patient died on the toilet today. Door was locked, we had to pick the lock. I have even less fucks to give now. Sometimes, I really feel like I'm becoming desensitized. I used to cry when a patient died, now I feel numb. Sad, but numb.

Look government doesn’t even pay for basic healthcare. They are not going to pay for sex therapy. It will have to be out of your own pocket. This is why I say decriminalize sex work, and let people choose to have sex with hookers if they want to. Most realistic outlook imo. I work in healthcare and see people dying all the time. I just get cynical about ppl thinking to government would pay for anything. Sigh.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 06:58 PM
1

Again the issue here is from what money? The government is in debt and doesn’t even pay for basic healthcare.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 06:54 PM
1

Well you have money right? You can pay for a hooker if you really want to no longer be a virgin. And if prostitution was decriminalized it would be easier to access. No need to make that be subsidized by the government when the government won’t even pay for people’s cancer treatment. I understand your problem but the solution isn’t viable. The government shouldn’t be able to stick its hand into our personal sex lives. That’s too much power for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 06:52 PM
3

Exactly, healthcare is about medicine and treatment not sleeping with people. Also the government spends on a deficit —we’re in debt. There is no money to speak of for these initiatives.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 06:49 PM
1

We can’t even get government to subsidize veterans healthcare and stops companies from inflating costs of insulin. Such a healthcare spending account is honestly a dream in America.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 06:48 PM
3

Just decriminalize prostitution. No need to make state funded brothels, it’s honestly a waste of money when there are already brothels. Also where will the government get the funding for this, you really think congress would ever pass such a law? We can’t even get congress to pay for insulin or veterans benefit? Women will be paid handsomely, from what money? Our government is in debt. We run on a deficit.

Don't tell them you're a virgin. Seriously. Unless they seem like they wouldn't care, and are open to virgins, you are exposing too much by stating you're a virgin or that you don't have this experience. Pick what to disclose.

Don't involve the state in this. Absolutely no mandated sex anything. Getting too Brave New World here, and I dislike it. The government's job is to protect our civil liberties, in exchange for the power which we give them. Aka the social contract. Not to get us laid. Jefferson said the freedom to pursue happiness, not the guarantee that you will succeed.

It’s hard. Some families visit once a week but the other days are still lonely for the residents. Others never visit, which is even harder. People have to donate shoes and jackets in the winter because some residents don’t have any. Data is logical to make description off of. However as human we do not only use data and logic are our reason to do anything. Emotion and personal experience have a whole lot to do with the rescission we make. This is why I fall on the side of no pills. I cannot and do not fully agree with any one ideology. There are parts that are true to both sides, and most often it's best to take what works and leave what doesn't. My perspective is always, to read both sides, and leave with what makes the most sense. No one ideology is 100% correct-- especially since most evolve and even develop sub denominations.

A munch is a social gathering for people interested in BDSM. Basically like a socializing event to find people you could potentially be interested in.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 05:15 AM
2

ok, so you're taking about BDSM munches right? Just wanted to clarify, because that's what I'm talking about. Generally, the more experienced people will come and talk to the new members and introduce themselves and find common topics, don't worry too much about having to start a conversation, just to continue it forwards.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 05:13 AM

Raising children while not in a relationship is pretty hard IMO, and I think it affects the children too. Probably your father must have enjoyed the fuckboy lifestyle, but when thinking about the future and family I think it's healthiest to settle down with a person around mid to late 30s. Of course, some people don't want children, and others simply can't afford them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 04:59 AM
5

Most realistic take here. Gender roles and how they are split really depend on the dynamic of the people in the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 04:53 AM

Social skills are a problem when you don't have them. If someone cannot read body language. know when the talk, what to say, etc. Then they are going to have a hard time. There are people who can get away with having poor social skills if they are attractive, but that's not the majority of us so we shouldn't play by those rules. The most straightforward solution to getting more dates is to become more conventionally attractive or become successful.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 04:50 AM

Tell her. Seriously people love hearing how much you appreciate their work, especially if they are dedicated to their craft.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 04:46 AM
2

Thanks for clarifying. Let me try and re-answer. I think it's definitely harder for someone who's a virgin to live the "regular" life, have social groups, meet outside, etc. Often being a virgin, past the regular age people are virgins, is associated with being less attractive, less competent socially, or having other health issues. I think they are quite interconnected. There are people who are virgins by choice, who are the exception to the rule.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 04:43 AM
1

I agree. It's a fallacy people fall for all too often. I can't deny I don't find it enjoyable to listen to people I disagree with. Logically, I know it's correct. But realistically, it's quite hard.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 04:33 AM

If you are going to a munch, try and socialize with as many people as possible to expand your options. People talk about regular things, but also mention kinky things like toys or play they are into. Don't feel forced to spill everything about you about what you like, but also let people know so you can figure out if you have mutual interests. Just be polite, socialize and talk(people talk about movies, dnd, etc) and see if there are people in who you could be interested in.

He's good when he stays in his area of expertise-- psychology. He's not taken very seriously within philosophy. But, one cannot deny he is an intelligent person. I don't think there is anyone in the world who is always right, I disagree even with philosophers and speakers whom I love.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 04:28 AM
2

depends on how attractive you are. attractive virgins-- not bad. unattractive virgins-- you will be treated worse. People can be very superficial.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 04:24 AM
1

yes, but the quality of life and the type of women he would get would change. Tbh, so could a woman. The grannies all get it on too lol. I mean your father must have settled down at some point to have you, or maybe not. But I know that a lot of people are lonely the more they age. I always feel sad for the ones without family, especially in the holiday season.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 03:20 AM
6

It really depends on culture. If you live in Asia or have an Asian family, more specifically a traditional Asian family, it's harder to be known not to be a virgin than it is to be a virgin-- if you are unmarried. Community shaming, family "face" etc make it hard to not be a virgin and easy to be one.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 03:19 AM
1

You could fuck at that age but it's not the same IMO. I work at a senior citizen facility, it's like a different world. Everyone fucks everyone, so much so that we test people for sti's. It's because women outlive men, so the ratio is different. The issue is you have to live to that age, and I mean once you are in a senior living facility quality of life isn't great. So, I guess they all enjoy their last few years of life as much as they can.

You are not wrong. Of course, being a fuckboy has a cutoff age. If they never settle down, then it’s not as much of an advantage because as you get older you can’t attract as many people as before. Also if you value a family or want children knowing when to stop is important.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/22 09:49 PM

It’s called being a matchmaker, and many women like to matchmake. In my culture it’s fairly normal to set people up on blind dates. So if I think a guy I’m friends with would be good with a girl I know, I would ask them if they wanted to meet up and see if there’s potential.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/22 09:40 PM

If they are complaining, clearly it’s important to women. Reddit posts is not an indicator of the general population. Just because there are exceptions, doesn’t mean the average women would put up with that. Plus if they are complaining on Reddit about that, it’s most likely the advice they will get is to break up, esp over something as basic as hygiene. Don’t convince yourself that women don’t care about hygiene, because women absolutely do. If your ass is stanky, you are, in general, not getti…

True, people in the kink community/fetlife and munches are more straightforeward and know what they like. I know I want to flog/humilitate my partner and I know they like it. It's so much easier than someone who you have no clue about.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 07:47 AM

life is unfair, you still gotta work and make money to support yourself even if some lucky guy gets benefits and dates because of his looks. People who are attractive have that advantage, it's not going to go away. Got to just accept life as it is, and do your best. It is how it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 07:41 AM

Tbh, my experience deviate from the norm because I'm into bdsm and a domme. I have my fun, and when you meet someone and negotiate kinks all the stuff is usually done-- teting/boundaries/scenes etc. It's pretty cool, compared to just randomly hooking up. You do have a point about hooking up not equaling good sex. It's hard to find someone compatible, but its worth it.

Women know what they are attracted to. Girls have types, and they know it. Damn, I dunno where everyone gets this idea that women are so indecisive. Anecdotal experience of one girl you know, doesn't mean it applies to all women. I tell people, that someone who writes off the entirety of modern women as not worth it, is coping.

You're mssing out if you don't have GOOD sex. what's the point of sleeping around if it's not pleasurable? Also, some people aren't into sex very much. I know people like that, they would rather not be sexually active. So it's a bit individual. But if you are young, into sex, and know how to have safe sex-- go for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 07:19 AM
2

That's why you test and use protection. Sex can be fantastic if you know what to do and have a partner who is into the same things as you. I feel sad, whenever I see people saying sex isn't that good for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 07:17 AM
1

There's an orgasm gap yes, but women are most certainly capable of multiple orgasms. Espcially since you can have a clitroal orgasm and a vaginal orgasm. As someone who likes both women and men, men are usually done after one or two. But women can go on, if you stimulate correctly. Some get oversensitive, but that's a kink for some people. It is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 07:14 AM

Don't worry, It's mutual, I have a complete and utter disdain for people like you who look down on people because of their sex. Shows the content of your character and there isn't much.

Just because two things are rising simultaneously ( correlation) doesn't mean that one is the cause of the other(causation). Ie. A and B are rising, doesn't mean A is causing B to rise. In research, we have to prove the statistical significance of our data(p-value). Just because it looks one way, doesn't mean the data has statistical significance. So promiscuity is rising with divorce rates doesn't mean that promiscuity is the cause of divorce rates. There are too many other variables.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 06:50 AM

People are generally not the best at communication, It's why I think people become unhappy in marriages. They don't understand each other. Especially when it comes to sex and emotions. I think the only issue with polyamory is that people have a tendency to become jealous or feel like they are losing the other person. It really depends on the person, some people really like it--others not so much.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 06:43 AM

he's saying he doesn't want to be with women with more than 2 pervious partners. I can see why he thinks promiscuity is ending marriages, if 2 partners is too much lol.

correlation does not equal causation. The number one reason for divorce is generally money.

I've noticed that there are way more men and more rp users on this sub. Someone got pissed at me after I said they were rude because they called women "warm wet holes". I mean, it's pretty obvi why that guy isn't getting any girls. There's also this notion that women can't be rational, but as Mary Wollstonecraft said women and men have equal capacity for reason. It's not about sex, but how you analyze and rationalize.

I agree. I don't care about women's or men's body counts, as long as they are attractive. Men, especially being more visual, wouldn't care as much IRL I assume-- as long as they are attracted. I mean as someone who's whose into BDSM most people I'm into have a high body count. And I wouldn't be into low n count people, because it's generally more work and less comfortable than someone who knows what they are doing.

I'm disappointed by your point of view that society would benefit from fat shaming. Fat shaming etc often causes more stress and unhealthy eating habits, as well as isolation, and low self-esteem rather than a healthy mindset. That's your personal preference then. I literally said that I want a relationship and think they are beneficial, not that I think everyone should have a relationship. I don't find relationships bothersome, so I pursue them.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/22 02:08 AM

Yep you can. But there is still a strong correlation between success and confidence. People don’t measure by the outliers as much.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 10:42 PM

Confidence is a valuable emotion. When your confident your not afraid to fail and try again. You know it’s not because your unworthy that you lost, but because of external factors like preparation, skill etc. a confident person puts forth their best foot and can acknowledge and grow from failure. It attractive because we know a confident person is prepared and ready to put in what it takes to achieve their goals. Someone who’s not confident often takes out their insecurities on other people, has…

Boosters are pretty common as the other poster said. Also there are different variants of Covid. Just like the flu shot changes every year depending on the strain, that’s why we get booster. Plus I get everything early and for free at the clinic I work at so I’m not too annoyed. My boss literally gave me the vaccine it’s was cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 07:38 PM

I would prefer they have the first two shots. Especially as someone who works in healthcare, I get exposed to so much Covid that if they weren’t vaccinated they would probably get sick. There was just an outbreak at our facility, everyone survived but the quarantine and having to wear ppe was stressful. Yes they would most likely survive but getting sick and having to quarantine isn’t great either.

Nothing, is there even anything I can gain from commenting on Reddit? I just post my opinion, you or others disagree or agree, and then I repeat. It’s quite simple. My endgame is simply to voice my point of view.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 05:45 PM

That’s why I say one would be happier in no relationship, than a bad one. I certainly know people can be lonely even in a relationship.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 05:41 PM

Interacting with people is not an external factor. You choose to interact. It is a choice you make and can control. How people react is the external factor you can’t control. Are you going to allow something you can’t control from preventing you from interacting with people and dictating your emotional well-being?

/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 03:45 PM

Why accept something that you don’t agree with? I don’t think marriage is only for raising a family; I would marry a partner whom I could live the rest of my life with even if we didn’t want to have children. Plus, if you can’t procreate adoption or having a surrogate is an option.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 03:44 PM

Yes, not all confidence looks the same-- not only for men but also for women. We simply have to accept the reality, that there will always be people who have it better than us, who don't have to work as hard, etc. There is nothing we can do to change that fact, so all we can do is live our own fullest life. Confidence does matter. It improves your standing, but still, there are always people who have it better.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 08:13 AM

I think both men and women do better with companionship. Who wants to go through life alone? It's great to have a partner to rely on, who you know is there for you. I think men and women in bad relationships would certainly be happier without them, but overall I think relationships and marriage are mutually beneficial. Being lonely sucks.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 08:07 AM

Marriage can also have legal benefits but in general, it's for forming a family. It also represents a legally binding commitment-- basically a lifetime commitment.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 08:05 AM

Not everyone. Sure, maybe a majority is this way, but there are always people interested in forming friendships. If you are convinced you can't approach someone, then you just stop yourself before even trying.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 07:49 AM

So you are working on yourself and not interested in putting the effort to come across women, but are also posting on Reddit complaining about how you can't get laid? Because I said in response to the other commenter, that the men who are currently uninterested or not putting in the effort to get in relationships because they are working on themselves aren't posting on Reddit complaining about how they can't get laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 07:47 AM

Humans are selfish but also altruistic. I find it beautiful how humans can be both at the same time. We can't control other people, but we can control how we react. Just because some people are cruel doesn't mean all of them are. From my perspective, you sound depressed. I don't think it's healthy to see people only in a negative light.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:33 PM
2

Yep, fat guys have sex. You were probably well groomed and have a decent personality as well. The guys who are fat but also slobs, or bad at socializing aren't getting laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:31 PM
2

Humans have worth. Seeing women in only a negative light, and finding them worthless is simply irrational. I don't find it not worth putting up with men, just because there are men who genuinely hate women. I know plenty of amazing men and women, people who are doing great things. It's so nice when you can see the positives in people. Your sense of normalcy is genuinely twisted.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:29 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:19 PM

Well if you are disgusted by women, you're not going to get laid. It's as simple as that. No woman wants to be with someone who views them as disgusting. Furthermore, you are rude and lack social skills from the comments I read here.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:18 PM

My advice is to start with social hobbies, like volunteering or things like the local hiking group, etc. It's easy to meet people interested in making friends or more in those situations.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:14 PM
1

Sure, but those guys aren't the ones posting on Reddit about how they can't get laid. If they are working on themselves and aren't looking for a relationship at the moment, I highly doubt they are complaining about women and their lack of options. Yes, it's the logical option to work on yourself and improve your methods when you have had no success in something. But a lot of people react emotionally and refuse to see their own flaws as well. It's really quite difficult for people to acknowledge …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:13 PM

The issue I see here is that you are looking only at the negatives. You think, no one likes to talk to strangers, people don't want to socialize, etc, then you preemptively stop yourself from trying to make new friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:10 PM
8

Exactly, mental health issues are very real. However, one must take steps to work on it. I have a family history of depression and paranoia. So I take my anti-depressants, go to therapy, and live quite a fulfilling life.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:04 PM

Going, to be honest, this is just really depressing to read. You can definitely make some changes. I think it's better to be uncomfortable, then to let yourself wallow and convince yourself nothing will change. r/Stoicism my advice, check it out. You cannot control your circumstances, but you can control how you react.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 08:02 PM

Definitely. I'm not very outgoing in person and I don't like loud environments, but I still have friends whom I go hiking with or get out hair/nails done, or we go watch the newest movies and have fun criticizing them lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 07:34 PM
1

Wow, you are making grand generalizations. It's not men against women. It's us against society. College is dummy expensive, and debt is terrible. The college system is making it not worth it to graduate. What's the point of a degree, when you will be in debt and don't have job opportunities? I want to be a doctor, I'm going to go like 400k into debt, seriously. Though my future profit is not bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 07:25 PM
8

A small house in my area costs 600K--1mil. I can't just move because all my job opportunities are here. I make my own lunch, and drive my parent's old car. Still, I could never afford to have a family. I'm lucky, however, because my future job prospects are good. Once I finish my education and get a hospital job, I should be comfortable. But the majority of people, don't get that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 07:20 PM

In this economy, it's simply impossible to be the sole breadwinner. Both people need to be working if they are average person to make ends meet. I don't think it's about wanting freedom, I think it's more about how shitty inflation is and how shit the job market and economy can be. People used to be able to afford a family on a single income, now it is little more than a dream for the average person.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 07:18 PM

Having women in your social circle is not detrimental. If you can be friends with women and be personable you already have an advantage when it comes to getting laid. OP is not saying you should sleep with the women in your circle, it's more like if you are friends with women, you will be invited to social groups where you can meet more women and have a greater chance of meeting someone. Nothing can guarantee a relationship, but I highly doubt incels have ever tried looking their best, being fri…

I think when it comes to feelings of not having self-worth etc, you should definitely try therapy or visit r/Stoicism. I know plenty of fat guys who pull, but the caveat is that they are charismatic and well-groomed. One guy I used to work with, was pulling girls way above his level but he was seriously funny, personable, and comfortable to talk to. Never think you are not worthy, or you don't have a chance. You definitely loose 100% of all the shots you don't take.

The may just be unattractive They may be fat, not groomed, or are just unfortunately ugly. It's harder to have casual sex. Now, I know some fat guys who have sex, but they are damn charismatic and well-groomed. I often wonder if the regular poster who complains about not having to sex has worked on these aspects, or is being honest about how attractive they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 07:07 PM

To be honest, I simply think Reddit users are just more prone to this. I don't think it reflects on the average person.

It’s not stupid. Attractiveness is a serious advantage in life. If you are going to get surgery be careful, there are long term effects with surgery esp plastic surgery and it tends not to age well. Don’t get filler because it migrates. What I will say, is that you will not develop self esteem just from surgery. And you won’t be magically happier from getting surgery.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 05:40 AM

Being attractive is a baseline requirement. Then to really be pulling, you have to be smooth and charismatic. Charisma is the factor, other than general societal beauty standards that I think matters the most.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 05:31 AM

Humans engage in both polyandrous and polygynous behavior but are most often pair--bonded.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 05:02 AM
6

"In a materialist worldview evolution, biology and environment MUST explain for all behavior." environment and culture are the factor OP is missing. Mating systems are not just biologically based. We share 99% DNA with chimps and 98.7% with bonobos, but both of those species differ in their mating systems. A lot of this comes down to environment, social structure, and hierarchy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:59 AM
3

I highly doubt the American Anthropological association would be proven wrong by your videos when it is already noted in the textbook that rape and cannibalism occur. I also pointed out many flaws in your arguments. My argument may not be perfect, but don't get this twisted-- yours is not perfect either. The video you provided and the text, are both things I agree on. I know chimps rape and cannibalize, but that doesn't change the fact that their regular mating system is polygnandrous.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:51 AM
5

"Chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes) have a complex mating system: most copulations occur between estrous females with full sexual swelling and multiple males in group settings where the potential for sperm competition is high" There, simplified they have sex with multiple males in group settings, aka orgies. Bonobos are even wilder and resolve fights by having large orgies involving homosexual copulation as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:48 AM
4

Basically what you are doing here is a straw man fallacy. I never said all men take turns raping war conquests. I said both humans and chimps can be cannibalistic and rape. I didn;t even specify men, because female chimps have been noted to commit infanticide. The link you provided, literally says in the title "from rival clan". My textbook is open access, so you can use it for free. https://explorations.americananthro.org/ chap 6 and 8 delve into the topics I'm talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:40 AM
9

I don't think optimal continuation means everyone mates and reproduces. There is something called carrying capacity, meaning the land can only support so much population. If everyone mates and reproduces in a species, we would pass carrying capacity for sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:31 AM
11

Yes, chimps can be cannibalistic and rape rivals, while killing the young just like humans do. Still, the mating hierarchy is polygynandrous( equal btw males and females), and they still basically engage in orgies.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:27 AM
7

Less than chimps yes, but they are incredibly similar to humans just the same. No, bonobos are just as terrestrial( land dwelling) as chimps. You are simply wrong when you state they live in trees only. Bonobos travel by knuckle-walking( brachiation) both in terrestrial( land) and arboreal( tree) substrates. I believe you may be thinking about monkeys, because bonobos are incredibly close to chimps in looks and some behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:24 AM
2

It's not a minority within ANY given species. Yes, it is a minority within Humans. But it is frequently noted that female bonobos favor female partners more than any other. In such species, it is common and not an abnormality. The animal kingdom, which includes humans, has such breadth and variety.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:19 AM
7

Bonobos share 98.7% of our DNA. What I said about chimps is taken straight from my anthropology textbook, please give me proof that what I said is wrong. Bonobos live both terrestrial(land) and arboreally(tree), They are knuckle walkers just like chimps, and even engage in bipedal locomotion. You are wrong about that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:16 AM
5

True. I used to believe this stuff too, but after taking anthropology I've broadened my views. Science is still incredibly uncertain about human mating systems since we don't follow a "single" system like some of our common ancestors. Culture and the social environment highly affect mating not just in humans but in other animals as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:12 AM
2

So, you have no answer to why you believe homosexuality is caused by genetic mutations or that they prevent the optimal continuation of species. Some of our closest living ancestors commonly engage in homosexual sex. For example Bonobos' have highly common occurrences of male/male and female/female mating.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 04:07 AM
10

We evolved from Great apes, not monkeys--with the chimpanzee being our closest living relative. What's interesting is that chimps don't mate by fighting each other for a female, in fact, they basically participate in orgies. Chimps are polygynandrous meaning both males and females have equal status. Another common ancestor the Bonobo is very interesting. They are hypersexual, with females having a higher ranking. But they all basically have homosexual sex as well as heterosexual sex. In fact, th…

I mean the guys and classmates I know personally. Yes, I said I am biased, as I said this is just based on my pov in the last sentence of my comment. But your experience is biased as well because you are only talking about your experience and the guys you knew in college. Yes, there is that stereotype in STEM. But I also know male classmates in my class who are not virgins and get laid. I think this is all just an example of personal p.o.v. Just your or my experience is not enough to make a claim about the entirety of Gen Z.

I'm a STEM major too, and the guys I'm friends with and my male classmates get laid/have dates too. To be honest, It's very tough to make a relatively accurate estimation of how many people date/get laid from personal p.o.v. Might just be my college, I dunno.

No, we haven't really slipped back into our "naturalistic" mating behavior, and animals don't really just "opportunistically" mate. Actually, there are several modes of what is called sexual selection and mating types with the majority of animal species having complex criteria and dynamics that decide who mates with whom. It's not that easy to compare animals to Humans given we have evolved and changed over millions of years. Human sexual selection has always been mate choice-- meaning the woman…

Google gives 1000s of results, how am I supposed to know what you are referring to? Misandry is the belief that women are superior, yes you need evidence to back up the claim …

Ok, go get a fleshlight then. Others of us like having sex with people, but if you prefer something else it’s ok?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/22 04:27 PM
1

You say misandry is normalized. How? What qualitative data do you have to prove this? Where are you getting the fact that women prefer different men in different menstrual cycles? You bring up so many points that just have no evidence to back them up.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/22 07:08 AM

It's quite hard to read. I know most people don't have great grammar, myself included, but OP clearly needs to edit because some sentences don't make any sense at all. I highly doubt anyone could read this post in entirety and understand all his points. for example: "So no traditionally average man were good enough for average men. " what does that even mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/22 07:01 AM

What is interesting here is that the study itself says " a person’s lifetime number of partners was statistically unrelated to their odds of marriage after controlling for annual sex partners" So overall lifetime sexual partners aren't statistically relevant. You also make a number of unsubstantiated claims. For example, you say women with a high count are likely to have "special ex". Is there any evidence to back this claim up?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/22 04:10 AM
1

Well, the study does say the number of lifetime partners is not significant to the odds of marriage. But that if you have multiple partners in a year, so short term, you have lower chances of getting married. Therefore, it is true that the num of partners doesn't particularly matter unless you are trying to raise your odds of marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/22 04:06 AM
1

I'm not sure how that is relevant to the discussion. Do you mind explaining?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/22 03:31 AM
3

Clearly, not you. Then you would have understood that the commenter was giving her perspective as a woman, and not talking generally about women.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/22 03:26 AM

Ok, I'm going to be honest here. I tried my best to read through this, but the grammar and spelling errors made it difficult for me to understand your argument. In my opinion, if you edited, it would be so much easier to read.

This is true, hormones generally regulate the bodies functions.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/22 05:14 PM

There are similarities btw men and women, but I can say without a doubt we all have different personalities, goals, types etc. not to mention cultural differences, I do feel like this sub seems to focus more on america but there people also have very different cultures based on where they grew up.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/22 05:07 PM

Nice deflection. All humans lie and are hypocrites. So why single out women for being liers, when every single one of us is a lier?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/22 02:22 AM
11

Because women are not a monolith. We are different people. Her perspective isn't all women's perspective because we have different thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Seriously, we have self-autonomy you know? I find it so strange when people act like women are some sort of foreign species that can't be understood.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/22 02:20 AM

You are making a lot of blanket statements. Saying men must have a grounded sense of what they attain, and that average women are free to have ridiculous standards. The thing is, that I have absolutely seen hot women with average men and vice versa. I really don't know what ya'll are experiencing irl, because I've seen many average men and women have great relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 11:16 PM
2

Ofc you won’t know that while standing in line, but for example if you are at a party you can def get a vibe of what another’s persons personality is like. If they are outgoing or more reserved. I don’t think anything is just that black and white.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 11:08 PM
1

Yep I pegged your mom and dad. You can thank me later.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 11:04 PM
2

What I mean is that people absolutely approach women who are outgoing more than introverted women. Even if someone is a 10, but they are intimidating, I’m sure less people approach them in person than online. Personality def has an effect. Yes physical appearance is the number 1 consideration, but it’s not the only one.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 11:02 PM

Oh , my last question was rhetorical lol. But yes the point is that attractive men will always get more attention. Same with attractive women. And we agree on that. So ofc an average woman would be attracted to and want a chad? There nothing really immoral or strange about that.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 10:55 PM
3

I think women who get approached in public tend to be less intimidating and more open. It might not just be physical attributes, but things like personality too.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 10:53 PM

I’m a woman, but sure I too can become an awesome man.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 10:48 PM

He said men are pursuers of sex, meaning they pursue physical sex not just getting off. Sexual selection in anthropology is literally the act of selecting a mate based on physical and social characteristics, not just mastrubation. Humans of course experience sexual selection just like all species.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 10:47 PM

Actually I think your point is valid too. People treat others differently depending on how they look. In psychology it’s called the halo effect. Two things can be true at the same time.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 10:43 PM

Ofc people will notice a chad more. Physical attraction and confidence is an outlier. There are many average people out there, so how does one average person stand out from another?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 10:42 PM
3

You can’t “fix” someone. You can’t fix bad men, and you really can’t “fix” women as a collective. This argument lacks cohesion, and being honest here I am a bit lost about your point. Also what do mean that average men had to give up what made them men. Are they not men anymore?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 10:41 PM
8

No. Suffices. If I’m not interested I say no, regardless of league. No is a full sentence.

I quite enjoy the fact that vibrators exist. In fact they are amazing to use as a woman lol . Why would they be competition, when they can increase sexual satisfaction and are a great addition to intercourse?

This a seriously depressing take. What is the point of measuring value base in having kids or sex? No one is useless just because of their sex or if they are fertile or not. People have so many other skills and values.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 08:28 PM

Seriously it’s not absolute. Judge people by the content of their character not their sex. What people have to offer is individual.

People are attracted to what they are attracted to. But I’m sure we al have some sense of what our level in the dating game is, and usually people stay within their circle so to speak.

You don’t have to do anything like get a vasectomy if you don’t want to. People have a variety of opinions, doesn’t mean you have to agree or go with them.

I would say these are psychological needs. Most people desire companionship. It makes us feel content, desired, etc. sure we don’t need to literally provide or protect or nurture, but it’s still psychologically relevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 08:20 PM

Wow. Such insightful advice. I’m sure a fleshlight is exactly the same as having sex with a person. People surely don’t want to touch and be physically intimate with others.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 08:16 PM

This is a paradox seriously. you choose to focus on yourself, but not for yourself, but for validation from the opposite sex.

Women are more open with each other. Like I know the wierd and problematic shit about my best friends. And they know my issues. When we need help it’s easier to broach the subject when they already know ur situation.

Yes directness is appreciated as well as confidence. When people have things going for them and are confident in their abilities it shows in their actions, both men and women. I’m bi sexual, and neediness is not appreciated on any side.

Tbh, I feel odd judging peoples physical preferences. People are attracted to what they are attracted to, and nothing can change that even if it goes against societal standards for morals. People are quick to point out flaws and dipole someone in when we are all so flawed.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/22 02:04 AM

Embrace the tall model aesthetic girl. but seriously, as long as you are attractive I doubt tallness is a problem. Sure some men, don't want a tall girl. But ppl have their preferences.

nonverbal gestures tend to work, but sometimes people don't get them. Still, humans in general, are very good at reading body language and understanding the situation. You're making a very broad statement. I don't think that it's that easy to figure out the reasoning behind people's actions.

Well a requirement for a "bad boy" is to be attractive, so yeah its the personality but mainly the fact that they are attractive. Most people I know don't take them seriously. It's usually just a phase.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/22 07:31 PM

I have a co-worker who would be considered a "bad-boy". He is tall, relatively good-looking, smoked, and doesn't like authority, etc. What is interesting, however, is none of the women who have careers in our facility are interested in him. Some of the younger CNAs flirt, but none of them take him as a serious partner.

sex doesn't interest me. tbh, I'm chill with that. I would say, go for it when your confident. Don't take a step without feeling like your ready. It's not a problem to be a virgin in your 20s.

It is human nature to desire companionship. Men and women both desire relationships-- whether they are romantic in nature or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/22 07:17 AM

I can't give an answer to your last question of how to get women to ask more guys out. However, I can say, from my limited psychology knowledge, that women tend to find what is called "nonverbal perceptive signaling" effective-- basically nonverbal gestures that show interests. Nonverbal gestures work for women, so it makes sense that the majority of women don't take verbal initiative.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/22 07:12 AM

Well, there is certainly a universal beauty standard. Most straight women would find men who fit beauty standards attractive. Vice versa, most straight men would find women who fit beauty standards attractive. It's not very surprising that people, even ugly people, find those who fit beauty standards attractive. It is also quite disingenuous to make such broad and vast statements about ALL women based on subjective sample experience.

If confidence is tied to something physical, something you could theoretically lose and is momentary, then I would argue it's not true confidence. Better to be confident in your character, than penis size lol. They are probably just sexually confident
