You’re welcome! I sincerely hope one or two of them help. I know how brutal things can be. Feel free to add whatever else you’re looking for! Never know how it could impact someone else who needs the same thing.

Check out the meetup website or Facebook groups for hiking and things like that around your area. There's a local hiking group around where I live that has a Facebook group page where they host weekly hikes and meetings. Could find a local rod and gun club but you'd have to join. I'm sure there's something out there that's free and will be worth a shot.

This is probably the most difficult on the list and one that I'm still working on. It requires you to step out of your comfort zone and put yourself out there. I think volunteering would be a great place to start and would make you feel good about yourself. What kind of hobbies are you into? I bet there's a hiking Meet Up near you. https://www.meetup.com/ or sometimes REI hosts hikes around your area. I joined a very low key church, mainly for the social outlet, where I've met some good guys. Ch…

Wish I could get my head there.

Hang in there man. It’s the worst feeling I’ve ever experienced. Cheers to you! Let’s stay strong for each other!

WOW! Unbelievable….how can she expect you to go? Crazy. After mine told me she wanted a divorce she continued to act completely normal. Like we were a normal family and couple. Kissing, “I love you”, family dinners, beach, family activities. Then I’d bring up the divorce and she’d get so defensive about it…but then would want to be affectionate. The mind games, man. Stay strong.

Thanks for all the responses, boys. Good to have a group that understands. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families!

Yes she will! Decided to go see her niece and nephew instead of staying here and seeing her kids. Wow!

"you go girl!" She’s got a girlfriend like that she’s been relying on who will back up everything she says instead just to “support” her. This “friend” cheats on her husband all of the time. It’s disgusting. I’m sure she’s offering sound marital advice. Give me a break!

Thanks for the response! I woke up and thanked god for everything I have in my life and for how fortunate I truly am. It’s a beautiful day out sun is shining. Bird is on the smoker. Going to have a great day without her.

My STBX did something similar. She told maybe 1/4 of the story. That “she’s been unhappy and has questioned our marriage for a while, looked back at the relationship and saw the fractures” blah blah blah. What she hasn’t been telling people is that she cheated twice, once very recently and she is still talking to this guy and has feelings for him. I started to tell people about him and she went psycho on me. Telling me that I’m airing out our dirty laundry and that she’s telling people how great…

I’ve definitely lost myself along the way. Will be good to find me again.

You’re 100% right. She’s fully remote and works from home. Met a coworker last work trip. Hooked up. Has been talking to him ever since. I’m out!

She’s kept a 7 year list of issues that she has NEVER brought up to me. Then out of nowhere she dumped them all on the table. Individually, they’re not that bad but together it’s a mess. Oh, and yeah, she admitted to connecting with and having feelings for a coworker. I’m sure they were physical on her last work trip. She’s a liar and a cheat. Someone said this in another response: “Time to move forward and never look back.” Goodbye old life.

Mine says she’s not “mentally stimulated” “feeling bored in the marriage” and “wants an intellectual partner”….someone with a “growth mindset.” I never knew she was so deep haha. Since we’ve been together I’ve taken a ton of cooking classes and have become pretty damn good at cooking, learned how to garden and grow food year round, am always reading and learning, I am currently on track to graduate in October from a well known MBA program, and am constantly learning new life skills all of the ti…

Man, I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with all of that. Sounds like we are in the same boat. I saw some friends last night for the first time in a while and it was such a huge help. Woke up feeling optimistic this morning. I guess it’s all about perspective.

My soon to be ex wants us to have family dinner nights, park play dates, and shared holidays because we can be “mature adults” and because she still thinks of me as her best friend. This is after she cheated twice. What the hell is wrong with these women?

This is so true. One day she wants nothing to do with me and the next day she needs comfort because she “so sad and scared of what the future is going to look like and that she’s making a mistake” give me a break.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
