Yes! I watched this video for the first time in my 20s and it really inspired me to embrace being alone!

I think it's a combination of nature and nurture. On the personality front, he's a quieter, more reflective type of guy, and he's pretty in touch with his feelings. This isn't to say he's not masculine - he's pretty classically broad shouldered and physically capable, is sporty, but he's never been one to shy away from feelings. He really seems to march to the beat of his own drum in many ways - he's never seen domestic chores as a "female" task, and just gets on and does it, and he's pretty goo…

I agree with you, I don't think anyone is HV indefinitely. The videogame thing isn't as concerning to me - as I've said, he's been very good about monitoring his time, and it's only one of his many interests. Dead bedroom is indeed a nightmare - but I didn't say that I wasn't attracted to him, I said I just never considered it because I was in a relationship prior. We can't keep our hands off each other now! But yes, vigilance and high standard is always a must. Good luck to you!

Haha, nah you're all good, those are some valid questions! I thought he was cute, but didn't necessarily think he was my type - although, I wasn't entirely too sure what my type really was, after so long with one person. Chasing that "initial chemistry" is overrated, in my opinion, especially if you're conditioned to respond to people who end up being not good for you. I didn't think I had chemistry with my fiancé at first - our first date was awkward af - and transitioning from friend to more w…

I always thought he was a great guy and would be a good catch for someone - he was mature, kind, gentle and had his household and life in order, but I was also really strong at keeping my boundaries, both physically and emotionally. When we started dating, he told me that he always thought I was the kind of person he'd like to marry, but he never lingered on those feelings because I was with someone at the time.

Oh, 100%. He insisted that I was being controlling and not letting him have female friends, when I could have male friends. The difference was... I wasn't wining and dining them. Huh.

Oh, for sure. No sunk cost logic need to apply to these LVMs.

Honestly, I briefly tried OLD before dating my Fiancé and that shit was GRIM. But yes, have hope! I'm a big believer that like attracts like!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
