Just say why you are paying. Just say you don't mind because they need the money more and you enjoy their company. I currently am a poor student, so I split costs on dates, but if I find a gift card lying around, I usually share it. It's more about the way it's framed: Is the only reason she's with you because you paid and are using that as a bargaining chip for attention, or did she want to come anyway and are you being generous? Nice Guys™ do the former, normal people do the former.

Exactly, I usually talk to many people at birthdays and such, because I genuinly am interested in their lives and because it shows others that I am open to conversation with them.

The part about reputation is so true. As I got better at game, my female friends would start 'warning' girls I was talking with at parties, that I would try to flirt with them. Yet precisely because they told that in a joking way, made other girls interested, and it acts like a filter for the girls who aren't interested.

The part about dragging people down is so true. Many friends made fun of me watching my diet when making gains in the gym. I just ignored it and tried to avoid gym related stuff. The funny thing is, the minute I actually made progress, they started working out with me.

I wouldn't say you are a kissless virgin at an early stage. That will wierd her out. Do make a move asap when you see her.

Had a girl at a nightclub tell me her friend was interested, but I didn't approach because I wasn't in the mood. Was kinda bummed out afterwards, definitely will keep this advice in mind next time OP.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
