Well it seems like you said that the fact that “depression is now a trend” goes against the notion that humans distance themselves from others who give off negative vibes/emotions. But people in reality don’t like being around others who are depressed. It’s only become a trend to say you have crippling depression as a funny way to express your dissatisfaction with some aspect of your life (and usually that dissatisfaction isn’t crippling depression). Being around depressed people isn’t a trend t…

Basically, because I had to examine my lack of social skills, and create hacks to remedy that situation, I consciously asked myself whether a given hack could apply to other situations as well, instead of just being automatically comfortable in my given social circle and never examining how that came to be and whether it could be applied elsewhere, and what modifications it would need to do so. This is gold. Thank you for articulating this, my friend. You’re awesome.

Very well said. What are some things you noticed he was deficient in?
/r/seduction23/10/17 06:00 AM

Same! And just to extend the analogy, I would liken the Netflix rating system to your social validation. If nearly everyone is giving you 5 stars and there are a bunch of people who have watched you, then you have validation behind your back. You should strive to build a wide social base because to a girl, if a ton of other people like you, then you have value. It's the same way we check rotten tomatoes before a movie or sometimes even upvotes on a Reddit thread before clicking it.

Yo good shit. I suffer this same issue. I'm working too much on improving myself without really approaching girls. Yesterday I made a quick grocery run right after I woke up with the worst head of hair, dirty white t shirt and basketball shorts just to get some bread, milk and cheese. I saw these two beautiful blondes next to me in the bread aisle, and my heart started pounding. I wanted to talk to them so bad but I hesitated knowing how disgusting I looked. I probably couldn't have gotten them …

So I'm an idiot at seduction, and it seems you have the right idea since you're getting upvotes. But often times I see that people here encourage you to be more straightforward with your motivations and admit, like OP did, that you do not want to just be friends, that you want something more. Seeing conflicting advice here.

Yeah, I sort of feel the same way, hope someone can chime in. Another person above said the bookstore would work, and I agree; practically any store or venue that revolves around a cohesive theme (like books or chocolate) would be a great setting to start a conversation with anyone. But when I'm walking down the street, I'm trying to get somewhere. If someone stops me, I don't get mad but become a little impatient (not visibly) and quickly give them the information they need. I can't imagine it …

The thing with "how are you?" is that it comes off as subtly insincere and very cold and standard, especially when coupled with that fake ass higher pitched tone of voice that usually accompanies it.

I ditto what everyone is saying here, but one important thing that we must keep in mind is that he lives in fucking South Korea. That explains all of this shit! Koreans are some of the most status-oriented, xenophobic people I have ever seen, and that enough will single you out of their dating scene, even if you're a 6'2" brown dude who looks like a god. The culture is infamously biased towards lighter skin, and American media has plagued their sense of beauty. So yeah, rejection stings, but tru…

What kind of teacher/senior would say that lol? I use strong eye contact with everyone, and as a student, I've never been told I'm arrogant or disrespectful; rather the opposite - confident, good listener.

Interesting. Thanks for the advice. Though what I will point out is that usually I see people here and other places on the internet preaching that what you say doesn't matter that much since it's what you do, the feelings you give off, etc that matters. I'm seeing the opposite in your post, though your reasoning seems very sound and logical.

Honestly, losing weight completely changed the way my face looked. Sure, just like you, my facial genetics aren't anything to write home about, but I didn't realize that I actually looked sort of decent/not repulsive with the weight down. Before I lost it, I was a little over 20 pounds overweight, but that's the way I've been most of my life, so I've always had a chubby sort of face. I actually started getting compliments whenever I wore something nice and complemented it with an appropriate fra…

Good question. I guess that could be a different type of selfishness. With insecure people, they are selfish in that they are so overly concerned with the way the world sees them that they fail to regard the feelings of others. With non-insecure selfish people, you get the same result - they fail to regard the feelings of others. However, that result seems to stem from a different reason. It isn't because they are so preoccupied with how everyone sees them but rather that they act strictly in th…

Just like all the other comments are echoing, it's best that you leave her for reasons expounded upon above. But, I still think you should text her "Hey, give me that good suck"
/r/seduction01/03/17 03:22 AM

As someone said above, it's arguable that insecurity can stem from selfishness. If you are wrapped up in your own thoughts and are only concerned with how the world responds to and sees you, then you are both selfish and insecure. Because of the common definition of selfishness as having exclusive concern for your thoughts and feelings, then an insecure person is inherently selfish.

I disagree, I think it's okay to hold eye contact for longer than a second, especially if you can make it obvious you're not doing it in a creepy way (so smile, maybe laugh a little). But yeah, if you hold complete eye contact without any other facial expressions, that'll be very creepy.

You're supposed to meet new people at parties, so it isn't at all unnatural to approach hot girls at parties. If you see a cute girl in class, you could always follow her (not in a creepy way) after class and introduce yourself (perhaps make a funny joke about the professor or an invitation to study together, etc).

I don't think OP is saying be Trump and have absolutely zero filter when speaking. I've thought some pretty nasty, vile shit when I've seen pretty girls that I wouldn't ever blurt out, not even if I was trying to be edgy. I think he's saying don't be scared to say things that come to your mind to both become a more outgoing and fun individual and score opportunities with the ladies (but of course use your common sense and check yourself if you're about to say something that could get you into tr…

I can second this. Asians can be pretty damn racist. In the U.S, however, the racism that comes from Asians and Asian-Americans has been more subtle for me. They would never say anything bad to your face, but their facial expressions and the way they talk to you or about you basically implies that you're an outsider to them. And of course this is just for Asians who are racist. Close to half of my friends are Asian and they're pretty chill, awesome guys. In East Asia, however, they will just ope…

Just make sure to add "like", "sort of", and "you know" in it to make it sound more authentic and on the spot rather than memorized.

I'm not the slightest bit experienced but I heard it's good if you compliment them on things that are in their control, such as their style, personality, etc, but not on things that were given to them like their beauty.

Idk about the elevator shoes. I'm pretty short (5'7"), and for some reason, I don't think I would feel so good if I wore them. It's not genuine and I feel like it exposes an insecurity.

First of all, in many of those examples shown in the article, the doctors were punished, they just didn't receive the maximum or most severe punishment possible. Obviously that doesn't make it right, but it does remove the notion that a doctor can make a mistake and carry on without having to worry about his job, fines, license, etc. Second, concerning those numbers, it's not the actual digits that are so significant; it's the ability to understand what numbers you need to use based on your know…

And why should they? It's gotta be one of the only jobs where you can make a mistake, say "oops" and carry on without worrying about getting fired or sued or having anything bad happen. You're joking, right? Please tell me this is sarcasm or something. If not, do you think that I can make mistakes concerning PEOPLE'S LIVES without any consequences? Dude, you are fucking awesome. My question is, how do you pretend to not be overly interested in her without causing her to have no interest in you? I guess what I'm scared of is that I might act similar to how you did, but a girl might discard me as someone who's boring or someone who she has no interest in being with simply because I didn't initially interact with her enough.
