My dad (91) had me at 64. I've had to take care of him since I was 23. 41 is still fine as long as you take care of your self physically and financially and don't become a burden to him as you age. My dad is physically fit and healthy, but lost his businesses in the 2008 recession. While unfortunate, it's hard for me to have to put my life on hold to look after him. It is what it is.

Yeah.. I’m going to try my best to secure that. I travel a lot for work so it’s going to be hard to manage the typical schedules. Going back to school to try and secure a more stable option where I’m from. Hope the courts see that I’m trying.

No, but I still own a house there.. thinking about renting out the upstairs and staying in the basement when I come and visit! Just hope my daughter doesn’t feel like I’m abandoning her if I move away.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. Thanks for your input man 🤙

She’s being nice now.. but mainly due to the fact that she wants breaks/ free babysitter. I definitely can do all of that while traveling so I’m feeling more hopeful towards everything. Appreciate your input.

I’m sorry you had to go through all of that brother.. I’m happy that you’re stepping up for your kids and are in an area with work opportunities!

It’s over 150 miles away which would surrender any custody arrangement rights.. I’d still get the minimum of half the summer and split holidays if I move out of that allocated area. Which makes me feel like I could still maintain a somewhat healthy relationship with her regardless. If she were in my shoes I feel like I would tell her to follow her dreams and do what makes you happy. I was willing to stay in the town with my ex if we could start a family here, but she screwed that up.

Same. But I have a kid with her and trying to figure out what the next best move would be for everybody.

She cheated on me and left me? I’m trying to figure out what to do now and didn’t do any of this willingly. The issue is me potentially leaving this small town and my daughter behind..

I agree with what you’re saying and accept what happened. The issue I’m pointing out would be abandoning my daughter if I were to leave this town.

There’s a very small dating pool in this small town. That’s not the main issue. The issue would be the regret I’d have by leaving this town and my daughter with her.

Trust me man.. you don’t want to get cheated on. It sounds nicer in theory, but the ptsd and insecurities it gives you torment me to this day.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
