I can't wait for that day- 1) Happiness 2) never hearing or seeing her again. I have 15 years minimum with my youngest being 3. I really hate being around her, I never really see her as she works a terrible schedule. My kids never see her, she has multiple nanny helping her out, but wouldn't allow me more custody, though I've been the one raising them already all these years. She does show up sometimes though to school functions or the end of my 6yr Olds baseball game, so that she can take pictu…

I made a separate hard drive, still didn't put them all off my phone yet. Took all the big canvas photos and put them in basement storage. Maybe the kids will want them someday...

Struggling with this personally. Never really went out and dated after, landed with one that turned from friendship (also going through divorce) to assist relationship. Now it's getting serious and I am terrified.

Bro, biggest mistake was not going to court. I'm in this exact boar right now but with 50/50, she moved out in have the house (i.e. full payment + half child expenses, medical premiums for everyone, medical bills (oldest child has a heart condition and I pay for her car and car insurance and she has way more money) we are doing the mediation/collaborative, im $36k in legal fees and nowhere closer than I was 9 months ago... go figure. I think the best advice for you and me, is to drop, get a new …

Listen, be angry, it's ok. Don't let anyone ever tell you that you can't be angry. I tried therapy for 3 months. Tbh I think I'm in depression. My divorce is still not over even, it's been a year since I found out she was sleeping with another married man with kids...who I thought was also my friend...and our families did holidays and vacations together. (Yeah my situation is rough). HOWEVER- what works is staying busy, venting to friends (on occasion- this is a slippery slope and you don't want…

It's mental. You aren't alone. The right person can bring it back but unfortunately, at our age, you have to work hard for the connection. It's not as easy as it was 14 years ago. Technology has made some awesome advances but ruined a lot of things about being in the moment. I know what you mean, though. I keep telling myself there is a lot of life still to live.

Ugh.. It's getting better as time goes on. Getting out of my jeep on 35s, pouring a glass of whiskey, smoking a cigar, firing a gun, working out daily, taking vitamins, using face lotion lol, spending time with my kids, being a solid dad and human, reading, running, walking the dog, trying to go out and still be social (though I want to hide under a rock as my ex is a local tv personality/ everyone knew us) it's not easy. I just keep trying, and I keep trying to be the version of myself I think …

This. Same same. Found two fellas to share a bit with. I think it's just, we aren't over what we lived with our significant others that were apparently fantastic actors. We have these lost feelings and maybe look for that feeling, smell, sense from our ex, i don't get it. Any insight or lightly moments, please let me know.

I live this daily. It's awful. Have to take it day by day and stay busy. It's brutal. Women can move on fast, they absolutely need validation and can't be independent. Men will stay on chapter one asking why (like you and I) and women can be super heartless and move on so fast and forget about every good memory they ever had with you. They are wired different man. She doesn't even remember anything good you ever did. You have to morn is like a loss, person you remember is gone, person that remai…

Brother, it's something in the water. It's insane man, I'm a year into this process and going through the divorce navigating it and trying to keep my house and my sanity for the kids. She is already dating yet another dude. It is absolutely insane. I waited 5 years to propose, she has a great family, loyal honest, all of it. I truly don't get it. To say I am destroyed is an understatement.

I'm at a place where my wife isn't even dating the guy she ruined our marriage for. To say healing is happening is completely false. Now she is parading around town with a new guy and even taking him to work events. 14 years together, 8 married, 2 kids, lost our first pregnancy, oldest son was born with heart issues, and spent a month in the hospital when he was born. She had a cancer scare, other issues that came up, I held her hand, supported her, and even started a charity together for our so…

I hate it. I'm at $8k and have gotten nowhere and my lawyer is now talking phase 2 charges starting if we don't have a signed agreement in a month. This is awful.

I was the one who was cheated on, it was for a very long time. It hurts. Words can't describe how this has destroyed me. I have 2 young children who are now feeling it too. Got a call today from my 2yr Olds day care saying he is disconnecting and not acting like himself. The reason you don't cheat is having gratitude for what you have. Just tell the person, or try and fix it first, or ask to separate. Why be blindsided by an affair? Don't cheat. It affects the person, the kids, your living situa…

I'm early in my divorce, still residing under the same roof, 2 kids, ages 5 and 2. It's sucks. She wants to reconcile, but her river of deceit is so long I just can't. We have been through many life changing and traumatic events together, and yet she could cheat for a very long time. It hurts when I think about it. My advice is that focus on the positives and focus on your days and weeks, not months or years in advance. I lose my mind thinking too far ahead. I get stressed. I get scared. We have…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
